- Smoking a brisket on a gas grill doesn't sound like a recipe for good BBQ, but the Lifetime Smoker Grill Combo combines a gas grill and a pellet grill over the same cooking surface. I wanted to see if I could make a brisket on it and a few other foods to test out how well it worked as a gas grill, a pellet grill, and using both at the same time. I also answer the all important question . . . Will it PIZZA? To my surprise, this grill really does get to 700 degrees F.

Nice review. Came across this thing online and though I'm not a big fan of pellet or gas grills, it was an interesting idea. Hadn't seen any of the other "bigger" YT channels cover this cooker. Thanks, Tom. I noticed in your pizza video it switched to LO once it passed 400F. Mine does that in high smoke mode, but the auger indicator kept cycling and there was fire in the pot. I couldn't tell if it was still running on yours or not.

Is there a flat top option? I saw it at BJ's and it caught my eye. Thinking this or the pit boss kc combo but I really want a flat top option to make bacon and pancakes outside.
I asked Lifetime about that a few weeks ago. They had considered it, but didn't include it because of the high cost. I use the Little Griddle on my Weber Genesis and it would fit in this grill too.
This is making my hungry for steak!

It seems like a great choice for brisket or pork butt.. Burn pellets for smoke, then switch to gas to save money.
Exactly. You give up the automatic temperature control, but you are saving $$.
So if you had to compare it to a Traeger what would you say ?
I would say I haven't seen a Traeger with gas burners in it. This one is definitely easier to clean.
Was there a quality smoke flavor ? And can you do some more videos with it ?
