My favorite song from this show! Yes this version is way different from the one I remember watching on the Bravo channel when they used to play cirque shows for a week. Bravo, what happened?! This version is cool though, cleaner sounding and fun to hum and chant your oohs and ahhs with. I like both versions equally though, the DVD version of this song was deeper, darker and more menacing sounding. Different singers and bands over time do their own little twists to evolve all original cirque music. Thanks for posting this song. I've played it a dozen times now.

Oh this was from the very last performance in New Zealand. I was watching the live stream - the violin killed it! I was dead. Favorite song.

i believe this song is sometimes referred to as Olga, named after Olga Pikhienko. many Cirque songs take the song name from the performer, such as "Misha" the aerial cube song in Mystére.

The official and most recent statement about the name of this song is from Cirque du Soleil and it's called ''Cannes'' But it has been know over the years as ''Olga'' or ''Hand Balancing'' and it seems these name come from Cirque employee too. The ideal issue is to hope that track would get a ''Cirquish'' name one day... But since the show Quidam is now retired, the chance that happens are very low, sadly... Let's wish a revival of the show, then the song might come back on a revisited album like Alegria : In A New Light ;)

I always loved how Olga performed in Quidam and later a main character in Varekai!

Loved the music in the DVD version of Quidam so much better. Unfortunately it's interspersed with the sounds of apalause.

The original played on DirecTV, beamed down from the heavens with Dolby Digital sound. That performance cant be beat.

Love, love this song. Is Handbalancing the official title for it?

There's a version with a heavier guitar during the lyrics. Also the voice is deeper as well. I think it's from the DVD, another video has a version with applause cut out. Is there any existing copy of that version as good a quality as this one?

Um..the voice on the DVD is "deeper" because it was filmed 20 years ago with an entirely different singer who has been replaced many times over. The heavier guitar version was, I think, replaced with this more subtle version in the early 2000's. I personally prefer heavier version...but both are enjoyable.
