  • Recorded live by TRADtv in the beautiful chapel at Paisley Abbey, as part of our coverage of The Visit 2017, here is dynamic trio Talisk performing The Hills / Echo. Talisk are Mohsen Amini (concertina), Hayley Keenan (fiddle) and Graeme Armstrong (guitar). They combine virtuosic concertina playing with frenetic fiddle and percussively tight guitar in a mix of European folk music. Find out more about Talisk on their website: www.talisk.co.uk.
In April 2017 TRADtv teamed up with Showcase Scotland Expo to capture exclusive performances at The Visit showcasing event. We filmed live traditional music sessions in Paisley (in Paisley Town Hall, Paisley Abbey and Paisley Arts Centre) and Stirling (in The Tolbooth).
The Showcase Scotland Expo team take delegates from North America to different parts of the country to soak up the history and culture and enjoy showcase performances by a selection of the most exciting contemporary traditional music artists in distinct and special venues.
Find out more about The Visit, and the participating artists including contact details for booking at www.showcasescotlandexpo.com/e....
Watch more performances and other contemporary and classic traditional music at www.tradtv.scot.
The Visit is supported by Creative Scotland, Paisley 2021 and TRADtv.
TRADtv was proud to support Paisley's bid for UK City of Culture 2021.
