Using the open breath of the concertina as a percussion instrument during the breakdown thing was genius

haha, absolutely! i just found this music and was completely stunned - ready for a little story?
i´m a musician myself and in the early 80s i borrowed a big accordion - as i couldn´t play it, i just practised some staccato sounds and recorded them - somehow i kept this strange little recording and always thought i might do something with it - two years ago i did! i praise the digital world to enable us to do such wonderous things, haha - well, i just sent my staccato song to a friend, and now i am here and - - - in awe!
i love youtube for providing us with so much beautiful music from all over the world and from all times... :-)

@@scp5358 well, that´s a point - i learned that good breathing can help - i reckon you are not a great artist who gives big concerts, but rather a small artist who gives small concertinas - so if you use open breath on a concertina it might help, no?

There's a fair bit of sad when one finds an awesome band for the first time and the song is entitled 'Farewell' and contains what seems to be a retrospective of years of musical relationships... followed by joy when reading and surmising that it's "Just a track on their second album, and they're not going away anytime soon." and you have wonderful things to look forward to in future. :) Thank you all... that was lovely.

I'm Japanese. I love Talisk and this song. I've been listening to "Farewell" non stop.
I was born in Japan, but I feel like "this music is my native place's song!"
Maybe, I was born in Ireland or Scotland in the previous life. So I feel nostalgic when I listen to this song.
Sorry, I can't express my emotion well. It is so difficult and complicated.
But whatever it takes, I want to tell my love.
    I love "farewell" so much!

Scottish* the accordion is more Irish than the concertina

Just let the man enjoy his music. Also, all 3 of you are wrong, the anglo-concertina and accordion are both German in origin, designed by men with the middle name Friedrich. The reason it's known as an Irish instrument is because it's used the most in Irish songs and Gaelic songs, which consisted of present-day Scotland and Ireland.

@@gh0stwithpants it’s mostly used in Scottish Gaelic songs. And Scottish songs. The accordion is mainly used for Irish songs. It’s inventor is of no concern since it’s not as often used in German songs. I never claimed the concertina to be of any origin. I said it’s more of a Scottish instrument
