The Kléber is a REALLY good looking destroyer!
I was originally planning to run this as a gunboat, however the DPM (not counting the reload booster) is only around 136,000. That and the torp angles/reload make it clearly better as a torp boat, just wait for it to be nerfed.
So the Kleber is a Le fantastic ship...

They're both incredible, concentrate on Gearing as a gunboat and you're going to have sub 3s reloads, I'm at 2.8s she's an absolute monster.

I was somewhat ambivalent about this ship, in truth none of the legendary DDs do much for me, but I am now looking forward to trying this out.

Definitely would rather run Violet as the commander for a gun centric build as I feel with philipe you give a lot to get the torps somewhat competitive, currently on my fantasque I run torp reload mod and run violet

Another great video cheers i was wondering if anybody knows if the the pc version of wow has any different game modes to what we have on legends because i love playing these ships but i am getting bored playing the same game mode over and over and over ranked and arena with some tweaks could be better we need something else

I know tanaka increases torp damage a bit is space fishy torp speed? if so I would probably go with Tanaka if that was the choices.

Ever since I saw the announcement that all Kleber was coming to legends I was extremely excited as she was my first tier X on PC. After watching this I can definitely say I’m excited to get her.
Just a quick question tho, what is her base concealment on legends?
Honestly I didn't look but with this build it was 5.2km and got it down to 5km

A legendary german cruiser or destroyer would be a nice additions to the game.

T8 does need more cruisers and badly, no matter what nationality. Worcester is on deck and rumors are rife that Des Moines isn't too far behind. We haven't seen Henri IV yet from the French. The Russians have number of possibilities ranging from "very well might have been" to "what the hell are you smoking?" unlikely. The Japanese and Germans have a couple of possibilities, and I'm hoping WG chooses the least implausible for both. Then the Brits...I'd be willing to bet Minotaur is perhaps our next T8 cruiser after Worcester.
It’s not all about the damage. I think what many lack is the ability to stay alive (without running to the far end of the map, which almost is worse)

Funny to see nearly everyone plays this Ship as Torpedo Destroyer on Legends.
On PC this Ship is more a Gunboat(Concealment nerf). Maybe WG nerf the FR DD on Concealment...and Buff the Guns(reload), and Range(base Range 12km).

One segment takes about 20 days without buffs. One ship is enoigh for 15 days

Yet another fine example of how legendary tier is broken and unbalanced. The ship looks crazy good and with very little in the way of a real rival it will be another DD that isn’t really needed in legendary games. Thanks for the review Spartan, great stuff as always! 👍
Kleber is better played as gunboat, it actually is the best gunboat because of the improved saturation model that it has.
(because of the french saturation model it can out-trade every other dd if you build it for guns)
Nope they only overmatch 28mm of armor.
Take the size of the gun and divide by 14.3 so 406mm / 14.3

What does an average Iowa game look like for u I get like 60k and I know I suck but I wonder if their is something I doing wrong. Maybe I should not expect 100k games all the time
Believe it or not an Average Game is pretty much 60-70k in most ships. 100k+ are above average and if you get 150k+ excellent and then 200k+ is Epic 300k well you're a Legend.

Why is he playing a gun boat dd as a torp dd? Its arguably the best dd for guns in the game
Because it is very good at torping as well as guns 5km surface detection and 12 79kt screamer torps
@@SpartanElite43 The Kleber is meant to be played as a gun boat, being a nuisance to bb and cruisers by making them shoot at you while you dodge the fire, therefore being more helpful to your team rather than torping and missing 80% of the torps. You use every dd as a torp boat woth concealment and its a hinderance to the team in most occasions
Gearing with it's 2.8s reload is probably a better gunboat. Kléber, or as she might better called, Clobber is more balanced.

WG loaned them to us which is pretty rare for Legendaries but it will be taken away on monday and we have to grind them out like everyone else.

I dont like how the French and Russians have some of the best ships at high tiers in wows legends when their respective navies hardly did anything significant in WW2.
It's almost like the war started so they wouldn't be able to build these beast's but most of them are great design and ship it's just the french army got destroyed making the French scuttle their own fleet so it's not like you can know what they were able to do and then the Russians didn't really have much use of their Navy because most of the fighting was on land also some of the Russian ships are cold war era warships

Fair enough, tho I'd argue that no design is truly great until proven in the field and in this case in real naval combat.
@@doomguy.23frommars60 : They didn't need to scuttle their fleet but they just refused to grow a backbone and fight alongside Britain.
@@vinnyganzano1930 they did needed to scuttle the fleet because Britain shoot at the french (mostly for the fault of the french admiral there and Britain for misinterpreting the message) and the Germans were closing in quick and they had no escape plus some were traitors and what ur saying is not right many fled to England created the free french army and fought thru out the war marvolously
