Still, despite being as short-range as a spider mine, SCVs technically do not have a "melee attack," which is what Artosis is talking about. They count as ranged attacks, which is why they can miss uphill and under dark swarm and stuff. Very silly. That said, SCVs do have more HP than probes or drones and also have a faster attack, so they fight much better when not microed.

45:55 something really weird I've noticed about Gols and Valks are that if they shoot point blank their missles swirl about the target before colliding.
The projectiles for many units in SC1 have to actually reach their target before dealing damage. Projectiles move fast and are homing, so this isn't normally a problem, but in some weird cases it causes issues. Most famous being...scarabs, which have the added disadvantage of being the only non-flying projectile.
My heart was pounding on that first game. I wish he didn't go for the drones, if he fell back to 1 base and got ensnare he would have won. Sometime sacrificing your natural get the win is key.

It’s really true. Two of my biggest passions are golf and SC:BW. When I play BW or golf for fun it’s nothing… But when there are any stakes it becomes considerably harder. Competition golf or BW makes it exponentially harder. I’m sure that goes with anything noth just golf or BW. It really makes u appreciate how good these guys are…. Thanks Tastosis love u guys!

I don't think Jobnuda's hiccup vs Silky was due to nerves, I think it was inexperience against strong opposition. Remember he didn't just turtle and rush hive, he went scourge before Mutas and built up his muta ball a little later. There's a lot of tweaks here to let him get into hive, so it's not surprising to me it's not 100% mapped out how to take it from there

Furthermore, the third bases are minerals only and there are no fourth bases except other starting locations for gas... It would need a remake, in the vein of SC2s Lost Temple to even be considered for modern play.
Why do pro zergs so rarely research burrow in ZvZ? It would save so many drones when the opponent makes a muta raid on the mineral line and once mutas are out neither player has overlords at the opponent's base so it's the perfect defence.
What does SK Terran mean? /gq I know some of the history of Brood War but idk all the terms. I'm assuming this is a reference to the way SKT Terran players played but idk what means specifically. Would greatly appreciate some clarification :)
In match 1 zvz why did the player gg? i agree he had the army disadvantage but he clearly had the economic lead + superior main defense. I think he could have drawn the game out longer to win.
He threw away a potential win when he traded his already lower muta count to try and hunt down the last workers. If he had the mutas *and* the spores and leveraged his drone lead/greater spire he might of been able to hold off an attack on his main, however the air armor upgrade and sheer difference in army size had left him at a big disadvantage despite killing nearly all the workers of his opponent. Its easy to judge all the decision making in hindsight but yeah I think he just felt desperate after he lost his drones/spores at the natural the second time.
@@spyfire242 I can understand in the heat of the moment and the amount of tournament pressure applied can result in poor decisions but I think with 5 spores in his main + higher drone count+ not alot but some mutas/scourges, I think he could have leveraged that to a win. would it have been possibly long and drawn out ? maybe but to just quit and gg right away I think was mistake. I don't think the muta count would have defeated his main defense. and with a drone count higher I think he could have out - produced him eventually

I definitely think he threw the game when he attacked so GGing was appropriate. Yes what he had was safe from being killed due to spores but he threw away so many resources that his opponent didn't have to attack him at all, just hatch more drones and maintain his lead, he could of also dove on the mineral line and lost half a dozen mutas in the process and still be ahead.

ZvZ is by FAR his worst matchup and is the main reason he has poor tournament results compared to other champs. SK terran is a style of tvz popularized by SK focused around marine medic science vessel
Heavy marine medic and science vessels, high mobility without using siege tanks.
when terran uses vessel, marine, medic against zerg. its named after an older terran player named soulkey (different soulkey)
