    Awesome cylinder heads the AFR 300. I had them on my 496 with 10.5 compression, 248/258 110 LSA solid roller , Edelbrock Air gap intake, 950 Holley and 2” header. Produced 706 hp at 6500 rpm and 643 foot/lbs of torque.
    I then fitted those exact heads on a 572 with 11.5 compression , super victor intake, 270/274 112 LSA solid roller, 1100 dominator, 2 1/4 headers. 807 hp at 6100 rpm and 736 ft/lbs. A ton of fun in my 70 Chevelle.

    Those are sweet! Good to see some more big block stuff. Thank you sir!

    These are very nice heads. They've been on my radar for a long time, but they are quite expensive. Thanks for the big block stuff. Keep it coming sir!

    I heard a lot about these heads back in the day, they are 4000$ a set now, supposedly flow over 400 on a 4.6” bore

    I wish I could find more videos about their LS3 Mongoose head vs the enforcer line

    I wonder if they would of been nicer if they Raised the Inlet Ports .500" ??

      I wondered the same thing and told Eric. Also called AFR and mentioned the idea and they thought it would be a nitch with little interest.

      @@williamstel9330 I suppose they (AFR) may have a test head around, they can high port and bog floor to test.. Proof is in the Pudding as they say..

    AFR flow numbers for those heads are on a 4.5” bore.

    So would you say it’s better on the street than say a 319 cc rectangular port ? Great stuff Eric and hope you have something coming from D Vizard soon ! 😎🇺🇸

    I would think it will be a good running head for an average hot rod engine. Thank you for your review & time.😊

    These are amazing!!!! This will be my next BBC heads. Do they make a awesome single plane intake manifold for them? Thanks for the video sir 😎👍

    Nice head for sure um i wish i can buy heads from you my class won't allow it or less i cheat and paint them and tell them yeah there cast iron lol. I am so surprised on how many circle track classes still use cast iron head either spec or without spec like open head is amazes me when nobody is making them other than onces you don't want

  • @robertwetherington3372

    I know when I bought a dart intake single plane you the ports were so small it could be matched to a gm big oval port head but that was 20 years ago

    How much do you play with the Clay entry when you Flow test?

    Those are the same heads I have for the 496 that I'm working on. What gain would you expect if the head bolt bulge was removed ? Thanks Eric.

    Very nice how much is a set of these?

  • @randallmason9687

    With that small chamber could you run a flat top piston, instead of a dome like most big blocks?

    • @WeingartnerRacing
      @WeingartnerRacing  Před 26 dny +1

      Unfortunately no.

    • @DSRE535
      @DSRE535 Před 26 dny +1

      Even at 632 cid if you used a flat top with 3cc single valve relief pistons you still only get 11.2:1 compression so you could do a pump gas 598-632 but it wouldn’t be the best choice
