Rent is completely insane there for what you get... i think a lot of those newer high density complexes that are going in are already priced out of the market... 3000 for a 1 bedroom apt in reno is pretty weird
Where are you seeing $3000 dollar one bedrooms? Also my son works for a company that build apartments and sadly they are having no issues renting this them out so as you know affordability is an issue.

The solution is to have city hall insist that anyone that has an addiction and is homeless to get on a treatment program and live in public housing. The majority will leave voluntarily.

I would think the lack of state income tax is helpful for cost of living.

No income taxes in the entire state. I just interviewed my CPA yesterday so we have a video coming up about taxes soon.
