The midtown area is the biggest surprise for me.
It’s been improved so much these last 5 to 10 years.
I just spent about a week in Reno, it really is the biggest little city in the world and I really want to move there. I already have a couple areas in mind.

Great video. I have lived in Sparks since 2003. Older home by Reed High. All the building going on has been great for my home value. Reno has done an amazing job cleaning up the bad areas. Midtown is beautiful now!

How is the airport and plane noise a little south of the airport. I may be moving a mile or so on patriot ave. Is it window shaking
Nope. The planes are still pretty high at that point. You will hear them but not too bad.
How about quality of healthcare in Reno, how it stacks up to other mid-size towns, best (safest) communities for families?
The healthcare here is getting better and better with more and more facilities opening. As far as safest neighborhoods go I have lived in most of the areas of this town and personally not ever had any but like any city we have some place you would prefer not to be. Hi! Thankyou so much!! I will be ready to by a property beginning of October this year. I’m single and have a large dog and can’t spend more than $480,000- even that’s a stretch. I want a reasonable back yard and if possible a fireplace. I don’t need to commute because I’m retired. I’ve been looking at cold springs and out by lemon valley etc. I don’t mind cosmetic fixer upper if I can get space with good bones. Please keep me in mind.

Not much available land near downtown but you can find a house in that price range for sure.

His whole analysis is just "How quickly can I drive places from here". As someone moving to Reno, who lives car free I wish he discussed transit connections and bike infrastructure

Do you have a video talking about crime rates? I'm concerned I've seen very bad crime scores for Reno
I do not at this time but my property manager ‘s husband is a former police officer. I have lived here forever and I think the scores don’t match what’s it’s like to live here. Call me and we can discuss.

I was born in Reno and lived here over 50 years and tired of the growth and traffic!! Now northern Nevada has become a warehouse industry!! Oh let’s not forget the fuel prices because of the taxes!! (ridicules) I’m moving into Lyon county, purchased property and will be living in farm country, very quiet area and hardly any traffic!! Very peaceful in Gods country!! Don’t get me wrong the Sierras are beautiful and yes I can still take a trip to Lake Tahoe!!

Actually the older the better! 3- 4 bedrooms at least two full baths a pool is a huge +! price range maybe around 1 Million! I 100% understand, but it’s literally everywhere. I’m from Montana, joined the Army and lived in GA and NC (complained about it there too). People in Montana complain the Californians, and now I’m in Phoenix and it’s the same thing. Sorry but at least I’m a US born citizen, I need to live somewhere lol
