Good job, ladies! Adriana Leon is such a natural goal scorer, she's so fun to watch!

And sadly she wasted much of her prime behind sinclair

@@jaytse2269 I felt Sinclair was living on her legend and it prevented Other players from coming up and Sinclair was hard to bench due to her stature

I don't like dumping on her legacy because frankly at one point she was arguably the best player in the world, at the very least in the conversation we all remember her heroics against the US in 2012 but I have to agree with you. It was like she was granted an honorary position when she was well passed her prime and at the expense of players like Leon

Adriana Len sat much of her prime behind Sinclair who stayed on two to 3 years tooooo long. Leon is a beast and having watched her in Mississauga she sat tooooo long behind Sinclair

They weren't playing the same position in Christine Sinclair's last few years. Sinc played as more of a 10 or false-10.

Canwnt shouldn’t have any problem in game two I believe!
With the caliber you ladies have: Leon, Larcasse, Beckie, Fleming, Grosso, Viens, Oujow…etc…. I’m confident you ladies will pass them with ease!!! Good luck🤩🌹⚽️🇺🇸👍

Great result. Have to keep Huitema out of the starting 11 and Olivia Smith needs to remain. The attack is more athletic/dynamic

The Canadian team played very weakly on June 4th.
They had a lot of Errors. They could not even make any Goal opportunities in the box!
Coaches brought in Two over weighted players in the second half while the best players were sitting on the bench!

European teams have the whole men's club and national tram infrastructure to rely on now that there is interest in the women's game. It's game over for North American teams in my opinion.

@@MusicalTranscendence it's true that they do have the resources. but they don't take the women's game very seriously compared to the men's, based on what the female players say about their experiences playing there. also the northern super league is going to launch. so we're getting our own league, run by former CanWNT players, and dedicated to nurturing home grown talent for the national team. if this league can achieve even half the success of the nwsl, that would still go a long way in helping us maintain a solid talent pipeline for the national team to remain competitive.

@@zachem66 2 points. 1. i don't think your first point is quite accurate. Arsenal averages 30,000 fans per game, and up from 20k the previous season. The average attendance has increased from 2, to 5 to 7k over the past 3 seasons. Barcelona (in the Spanish league) averages 7k, up from under 5k, and they had 40,000 fans for the derby against Madrid. The women's champions league final had 50k spectators this year. Some Barcelona home games over the last few seasons have been played in front of more than 90,000 fans. And so on. I'm not that optimistic about the northern super league after the novelty wears off. Canada does not really have a football culture. 2. a pro league is one thing. a deep pyramid of pro clubs and the infrastructure that comes with it that can train young women professionally is another thing. Canada has no more than 3 cities with this type of infrastructure. And college soccer, which used to be a big pipeline for pro soccer in north america is just simply inadequate when measured against pro clubs.
