    Gatling Barrage is now a contender for one of my go to strats like the eagle airstrike it feels so freaking good now

    The orbital airburst spread is because of the angle of the ship. It’s not as random as it appears to be. Look up and see where the super destroyer is, the shell will speed on that angle

      No it's not, orbitals land always precisely from top to bottom not at an angle, what's going on here is the stupid scatter modifier for orbitals. That modifier makes most orbitals completely useless because it will always land where you don't want it to land

    The bulk of the damage on 95% of missiles and rockets in this game is ballistic. Rocket Devastators do something like a 70/30 split with 70 being the projectile damage.
    For almost all the changes AH made, an improvement to the projectile damage is a bigger deal than people realize

    Hulk.. Took 6 rockets to the face plate and died by the Rocket turret. Its very much good against them. Orbit Precision can OHK Bile Titans now. Win Win!

    11:04 Quick note on the air burst inconsistencie, the positions of your super destroyer HEAVY impacts the accuracy of the shrapnel.
    The burst activates a set distance off the ground. If you are directly below your destroyer, it will be a near perfect circle. However, if you are on the edges of the map, it will be much more of and oval in which the shrapnel will spread out facing away from the destroyers location.
    If you have a grounp of enemies advacing on you from out of bounds on the edge of the map. You actually might be better off throwing down the strategem marker right at your feet. Because of the angle, the burst will blow up over your head and continue forward landing in front of you where the enemies are.
    So if you have the time, try to figure out where you are in regards to the the destroyer. You will get much better results.

    Rocket sentry needs to ignore fabricators since it really cant kill them. I guess you could say just dont deploy around a fab but it would be nice to beable to deploy anywhere

      It would be a cool game mechanic if the owner of the sentry pings an enemy, their sentries would focus on that pinged enemy

    The Rocket sentry is more about ammo efficiency than pure single target damage. That would be what the AC sentry is for. RS is now a pretty good single target damage with a longer uptime providing longer support. And it now has decent aoe to kill chaff if it has to shoot at it.

      I love the Rocket Sentry, great changes. It’s never been a “this thing needs to die right now” button. It can be used in a lot of situations, try using it while hitting up a gunship fabricator and it will kill them as they come out

    Spear does lock on to Striders and alot of other enemies to. Its just the Factories its bugged with.

    I'd love to see an optional mission to remove a modifier from the map. They could do something similar to the corrupted TCS to get rid of the map spores. Or a massive aa facility that needs to be taken out in stages. How about modifiers related to enemy type like hunter infestation or nursing spewer nursery, charger habitat etc.
    Why not beneficial modifiers like mech testing ground where there's mech everywhere or they are a bonus stratagem.

    Thank God they listen to people and started buffing things and giving us more options to use specially against automatons, seriously the last patch almost made me quit the game, it was so unfun and stagnant with using the same build for almost every game and a pain to even do a mission if the daily mission was a "bad" weapon or so.

      if you look into the history of buffs and nerfs in gaming the trend goes when you buff stuff you get versatile gameplay but when you nerf everything it creates metas and i’m happy the new ceo understands this

      ​@@dagolf06 Well the new ceo being the reason for the patch is a bit of a half truth. From what I understand, pilestd stepped down from being CEO so he could become the head of balancing.
      before the person in charge of balance was not very socially mature.
      so yes a new CEO did happen but not the person that did anything about this. if what i understood about the ceo change is correct.

    HMG is so much fun to use . I mainly run the HMG before and after the patch and glad it’s finally getting the respect it deserves . Before the patch the 30% less recoil was pretty much needed to use it but since it’s in a better place now it’s easy to use with any armors

    Great video. I like the way you look at the game with positives. Trying to find what stratagems are capable of instead of what they are not. Refreshing from a lot of the “helldivers has a problem, etc” content that’s being put out. Subscribed!

    I ran the HMG before the patch as a anti-bot loadout. It was pretty good if you could make it work but the patch just really solidifies it as my main support weapon against the bots.
    Good loadout is HMG, supply pack, stun grenades, armor with recoil reduction, Tenderizer, eagle air strike, and precision strike. Let's you get supplies back, crouch and prone makes recoil more manageable, and the strikes let's you clean up mobs and soften enemies. Stun grenades makes Hulks and Devestators small fry while Tenderizer is good for mopping up the small fry

      I use hmg supply pack gatling turret(I'm experimenting with 500kg not sure if I'll keep) vitality booster.

      As an HMG user before the patch I used to run it with 30% less recoil armor and got used to runnin it without supply pack but since the buff I don’t need the 30% recoil armor anymore and just use scout armors and i run it with eagle airstrike , ac sentry , jet pack and usually 1 other orbital or another eagle if im not using jet pack . Always bring stuns and any secondary but mainly nade gun and any primary works good .

    11:54 - this is because the shell is fired from the centre of the map and it changes the angle based on the distance.

    I've had eagle strafing runs kill tanks as they have such a larger footprint.

      No bro, I have used the strafe ALOT before and after the patch, it was twice as wide before and now its more powerful but the width was cut in half. I measured it extensively using pings and screenshots to get distances so I am within 10% more or less, but it was cut in half. The length is almost the same. The strafe could kill fabricators and larger enemies before depending on how lucky u got with the rounds, now it always damages larger enemies, but it doesnt consistently kill them. They shoulda left it EXACTKY how it was and just buffed the damage.

    This patch just reinforces me using the same loadout i’ve been using the whole time. Scorcher and autocannon for the bots. Plas purifier is unbelievably bad still. Incendiary breaker and quasar for the bugs are still on top. There are tons bugs in the new patch. My list so far:
    -One mission couldn’t resupply or pick up supplies
    -spore spewers invisible and indestructible
    -fabricators won’t clear off the map sometimes when they’re all dead
    -superior packing not working
    -crash anytime I use the menu basically
    -ran into multiple indestructible bots
    -radar towers bugged
    -infinite loading screen about 50% of the time when I quickplay
    -sometimes I throw strategems when there’s no jammer around and they disappear
    Then obviously the bugs you mentioned too lol. I’m on PS5

    I think the shrapnel isn't back on the Eruptor not because of the rework, but that the blog post made it clear that the mechanic itself has some bugs to work out. They didn't realize how much of the Eruptor's damage was the shrapnel in the first place, so it was just buffed to 'useable' for now. Although to be honest, it's never going back to it's glory days and honestly shouldn't where it was oneshotting Chargers as a primary. I do think the explosion radius of it and the Crossbow should be increased though.

    You miss armored enemies now? Huh? they increased number of chargers and half of them are behemots. Now you almost always have 3-4 chargers near you

    While its not as good as its previous incarnation, the Eruptor is still good at clearing groups of enemies due to the AOE explosion and stagger on both bug and bot fronts. being able to kill multiple devastators that are grouped up or squads of raiders all grouped up is something the Eruptor is great at doing. not as good as say a grenade or grenade launcher but it still claps cheeks on both sides.
    I am personally running Heavy Peak Physic with Eruptor and HMG with bushwhacker and stun grenades and tearing bots apart left and right. Peak Physic makes handing weapons like the Eruptor, Dominator and HMG feel so good. seriously try it out the loadout of HMG and Eruptor with Peak Physic and its amazing to run and gun with those weapons.

    The rockte sentry is not changed with 2 to 1 shots per salvo because of damage. It was changed because of ammo management. If it shoots a rocket at a target that is almost done for and dies because of the first rocket, the second would be wasted. So it only shots 1 rocket at a time now. To last longer with its total ammo supply.

    The strafing run has patterns it follows based on how many times its been called in. As does every other eagle and barrage attacks. If you can figure out the patterns you can use it more effectively just like the eagle air strike first strike is from the right second is from the left third is back on the right. If it’s coming in from the right like this \ the next run will be from the left /

    hmg buffs were perfect, but the slow handling really is noticable when you have gunships shooting at you. they literally strafe as fast as the reticle can move so you can't catch up or even lead the shots, trying to overcome it with first person is a nightmare cause the crosshair isn't accurate and still kicks up all while the ship is flying left or right of you.
    being able to murder them is doable but if takes way longer which gets worse cause everytime you have an opening you waste the time getting around those slow aim issues and recoil then it starts shooting again so you got to wait more. very snowbally. primary is more consistent at killing them.
    the fact you have to shoot slower to be accurate makes the ttk longer is the real issue. then another spawns or other patrols show up, yea its not ideal.
    there will be times they don't move as fast and then its ezpz
    im curious if the new armor perk will fix this glaring issue the hmg has

    What I like about the strafing run is that it is incredibly safe to use. Throw it at your feet and youre more than likely going to survive. Ive always seen it as sacrificing power for safety. For me, I think thats a good trade especially for new players

    The main issue for me with the arc thrower is, that it is, sometimes, very inconsistent with hitting stuff. It can be blocked by rocks, corpses and other terrain because it doesn't arc correctly towards enemies.

    I was never a fan of the erupter originally. It was to slow for my liking. But going back and using today and yesterday I enjoy it because I can one shot striders and 1-2 shot devastator.

      Eruptor is no faster now than it was before, and it could always 1-shot striders. It’s still much weaker than it used to be, lacking the shrapnel. I could clear whole dropships before the troops dropped thanks to the shrapnel. Consistently bagging 6+ kills per shot was great. Now it is like a slower, worse AMR. Less bullets and can’t kill med/heavy targets as quick.

      ⁠​⁠@@LethalOwlall they did was buff the overall damage on it . They didn’t intend for primaries to be able to take out any and everything and make them better than support strats . That would be too op and wouldn’t encourage anyone to use anything else .

    For bug missions where you bring flamethrower, what weapons do yall reccomend to pair with it? I had a blast getting those 100 flamethrower kills last night lol

      My flamer build tend to be Flamethrower, fire shotgun, impact incendiaries, grenade pistol, napalm strike and the rest is up to you. I like running it with the jetpack as well, and light armor with the extra grenades. Last stratagem might be for Titans if I feel the team is lacking AT options, but anything smaller than a Titan is toast.

    They *almost* fixed the Eruptor, the added damage is nice, but the reload speed still makes sense to be that slow between rounds, BUT they said they are adding shrapnel back soon (And the description of the weapon still says it uses shrapnel.....), and even though the Tenderizer got the damage buff, it still isn't something I'll use, I still use the same primary weapons lol Lightning Cannon or FIre Shotgun for Bugs, and JAR or Fire Shotgun for bots. What they need to do is have a acid/gas version of the breaker for Bots.
    Been waiting for your input though, Ill try some new stratagems after work now!

      @@Mr_Jish Incendiary breaker works surprisingly well against bots, especially against the lower-tier units. But when I say "surprisingly well", most people's assumption for it working at all against bots is rock bottom so in reality it's C-tier or low B-tier at best. It's a weapon that will make you think "Huh. I forgot to switch my loadout from bugs to bots but surprisingly this is kinda working out."

      @@windsgrace688 I mean like... I'm fully aware that half the weapon is still the breaker which shreds fodder units for bots. I just can't figure out where the justification is to use it over pretty much any other primary that is actually *good* against the bots specifically. Like, say, the regular breaker 😂 (which "good" might be a bit of a stretch for the standard breaker these days, but I digress. I'm more of a Sickle man anyway since the Slugger doesn't have quite the same stagger anymore)

    The game is so much more playable and enjoyable. It feels like your weapons and stratagems actually kill things and cause damage to the larger opponents. Obviously you can’t kill a bile titan with a liberator but it’s nice to actually see your rail gun shot or you rocket launcher shot actually kill those creatures and Same with the bots.

    My issue with 110 rocket pods now I feel the projectile damage nerf was a bit too heavy handed. Sure it lands all of its shots now but it feels pretty wasteful having to use at least 2 of them on chargers/hulks/tanks when a well placed airstrike can 1 tap multiples of them. With the same amount of uses

    I also notice the spear doesn’t lock onto mortars or AA emplacements on automaton missions idk if that’s intended or if that has something to do with the bug with fabricators but I feel like it should be locking onto them

    The strafing run isn't that consistent, but it has very funny moments where it randomly penetrates the eye plate of a hulk and instantly kills it. it can also destroy bug holes and bot fabs when you throw the strafe in line with the angle of the spawner's opening, but it can often be extremely frustrating about actually putting the bullets inside the vents and holes. What I have noticed the strafe run be absolutely fantastic at is annihilating spore spewers and shrieker nests. Multiple strafe rounds hitting the mushrooms instantly shreds them, possibly being the most efficient stratagem for clearing shriekers we have now, aside from gattling barrage.

    I mean, the tenderiser bounced off almost every part of the devastators when I played an eradicate, blitz and an evacuation, if I hit them in the head it was almost an instant kill, couple bullets.
    But you're not gonna be doing that consistently, I found the adjudicator was much more consistent in damage against the bots at least.

    Precision strike has been good all this time even before the patch. It one hit bile titan and factory stride. It destroy research labs. I been dumped the eagle stike.

    The HMG dot is still high, by at lest half an inch on the optic, so the bug is still there sorry to say, which suck because what's the point of an aiming point if it's not 99% close to where your intended shots will be placed. I don't know why sighting this thing in escapes them given that they like to tout the "realism" part of their arcade hoard shooter but it rings hollow to me. The recoil on the thing does not do it any favors so having it still shooting well under the dot after it's been in the game for months is... kind of sad and frustrating since I liked the HMG before but didn't like having to basically point shoot in a video game.
    I also still think that they should have given it another belt, considering the very low capacity, absurdly high recoil and incorrect aiming point, more ammo even just more belts would have helped it a lot, I hate having to have a supply pack on my back JUST because 2 of the 3 MGs don't have enough spare ammo unlike the Stalwart.

      Run it for 4 missions. It's useful but still needs a little bit more power. It takes too much time to kill devastators for something with charge up

      Purifier is still a dumpster weapon, imo. Needs to either charge faster or do more damage. It’s just not effective enough at what it wants to do and it doesn’t feel good to waste so much time on each shot.

      ​@@zach942 I'm with you, I don't like the new Xbow, but I'd take that now over the Purifier, also unless the stats are wrong you're better off just using the Plasma Punisher if you have it.
      I want to like the Purifier, but it definitely needs something to make it better, like more damage or bigger explosive radius, or both.

    Great video man! For me unfortunately they broke it, played terminids yesterday and it was not enjoyable for most of my missions. Armies of hunter patrol of shriekers? Naaah man you just get overwhelm all the time. And the behemoth charger is wayyy too tanky lol was playing on 7 and it was a pain if i got teamates that weren't cooperating. Hope they tweak this soon

      Go with a flamer build. Those big chargers are no different from the others when dealing with flames. The only enemy the flamethrower doesn’t kill quickly is titans.

    Wow! No shit? the rocket sentry takes out a gunship in two hits? Hmmm that’s pretty nice. I wish there was a way to recon the map before deploying so you know if you’re about to go to war with three gunship fabricators that would definitely effect my strategem loadout before I drop in.

    Man and you guys haven't realized the biggest problem. The quasar cannon was nerved and they didn't even label it. Technically, it wasn't nerved. Technically, what they did is they made it so Armor crushers, face helmet is indestructible to it. So, you can no longer one kill shot. It basically making it useless against bugs. This was an absolutely ridiculous thing. I called out the devs on this and I was ridiculed for it. So a rocket can go through it, but the quasar can't can't. When it does everything the exact same. Yeah it's ridiculous. We always go one step forward two steps back. It's like they want to destroy every gun in the game. They're gonna drive everyone away from this game, unfortunately

    do you think it would be worth taking the shield relay with sentries, especially against bots? Deploy them together on a good highground position when you got a big wave coming toward you and just stand there with it and kill the smaller bots while letting it take down the bigger stuff.

      Yes it's extremely fun. Either autocannon sentry or rocket sentry with shield relay, orbital gat barrage and an autocannon is one of my go-to loadouts now. Was running bushwhacker and eruptor with stun grenades. You become an absolute defensive rock for your team with the massive area denial of gat barrage and your relay and turret setup locks down holding points on objectives or just gives you cover in the middle of a battlefield.

    I run the hmg, supply backpack, gatling turret and hmg emplacement. With the vitality booster. I wear the beggining helmet with the grey and yellow heavy armor with the face shield/chest plate combo. And the cape with the two swooping stripes and skull. I started with the machine gun, love the m249 a lot so I got the stalwart asap. But when the hmg dropped, I knew I found my gun. So glad they improved it I was doing just fine before. And the hmg turret spinning faster just makes me more of a walking wall of lead.

    In my opinion, the new update makes fighting the bugs completely unplayable on higher difficulties. Just too many enemies that don’t ever stop spawning.

    honestly, you sell the xbow as useless weapon, its kinda bad with aoe, but in case of not taking it for being primary but strategem weapon its awesome, close bug holes is easier than with gl, pistol gl, eruptor, auto cannon... you take flame thrower, shotgun pistol, xbow, precision strike and napalm... there you have bile titan, charger and trash clean. also thx to buff on 110mm you can use it as crack armor on both charger and titan.

      Those are berserkers. Devastators are a medium armor automaton enemy. The ones that spawn with shield/machine gun, rockets, or just a gun with an empty left arm.
