Correction, a couple of the bands that broke big first in the ska genre - like The Mighty Might Bosstones are truly excellent. Most ska bands are poor copies of the originals. Most ska bands suck ass or are mediocre at the very best and have opinions of themselves out all proportion to reality. Basically if all the genres of music were individual bands; ska would be equivalent to Nickelback. Sure there are some high points - like the Bosstones - but in general it's really best left unplayed.

She gave me love and I swore I'd never leave her
If I did, I'd come back someday and find her
Maybe I will, I should write down a reminder
One day! One day who knows
Someday, someday I suppose
The more I sort it out
The more it gets distorted
I sort of think I'm better off just leaving it unsorted
The more I try to change its course
The more off course it goes
Of course I'll reach my destination someday I suppose
Sort it out
The more I sort it out
The more it gets distorted
I sort of think I'm better off just leaving it unsorted
The more I try to change its course
The more off course it goes
Of course I'll reach my destination (someday I suppose)
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones are underrated. They have some of the most iconic riffs and melodies.
I miss the idea of having promise for the future. This song takes me back to then.
ikr. came back to this song, and the melody and music video bleed such an innocent freedom, that 90s carefree attitude. better jump back into the ska scene, i really need that optimism.
You could put every Bosstones song in random order and play them back to back and I would still be convinced its a continuation of the same song.
Welcome to ska buddy 🤣
Either you haven’t listened to their entire catalog-which is extremely varied and not at all homogenous-or you’re making the cheap and meaningless comment that “same band sounds same.” Either way, I’ve never found comments like this to be very insightful. Which makes it a perfect comment for social media.
@@dingdongism Big words big words I am very smart :)
@@brandonwisler2755 I don’t think you are right. How’s that? No big words, and means the same thing.
@@dingdongism Better, however I am right lol
One of my all time fave bands. Saw them live on the Back in Plaid tour. Dicky Barrett gutteral singing is the best! He climbed the rafters and French kissed some random dude: This is how I discovered them, and how I’ll always remember them. Not the clean polished version they are now
He did?! Was this back in the early 90s? God I love him.
Why the fuck was he kissing some dude?
Altogether The Mighty Bosstones looks like a band that isn’t afraid to have fun
3 doors up and straight ahead if someone thought to lock door...use the fire escape instead...someone's always up to something , if nothing happens in a minute....wait another something would. OH GOD...THESE SONGS RAISED ME
GET IT ON, GOT TO GET IT ON, NO CHOICE BUT TO GET IT ON, MANDATE GET IT ON!
