It’s a quarter to 5am, one-third through 2024, and this gets dropped in my yt page. That was 4 minutes of fun that I’ll want to experience again. Thank you almighty algore-rhythm for making my life more meaningful.
I love going down random CZcams rabbit holes and landing on absolute gems like this one. Bravo!
I think I slid down the same tube. I think White Rabbit should be next😝😝😝
Try Tokyo Ska Paradise orchestra if you like this.

How am I finding this 10 years late?
I feel your pain. This is sweet!
Destiny!! I wasn’t your time 😅😅
Because you work for chaos 😂
🙋😅
Better late than never.... keep that in mind haha
After 10 years, CZcams thought I should hear this. And it was damn right.
The AI's a bit shite, catching up to all those years where Ska wasn't awesome
I used to be a ska kid back in the day. I suppose I am now a ska adult. Big it up
I guess the mighty Algorhythm woke this one up from the past. It's effin magnificent. Cheers from Texas.
I really need ska revival in 2024 🙏🙏🙏
This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen on CZcams.
always together and I come home from work and listen to this on CZcams, greetings from Indonesia, bro
That beautiful line between modern ska and classic big band jazz.
A smidge of Dixieland.
Yeah it doesn’t sound like ska
@@brianfergus839 Listen to the Skatalites, esp. their early hits.
@@carlscott5447 well versed but thank you 👍
@@brianfergus839if you're well versed than you know there is 4 waves of ska when including the one we are currently in. This is definitely a ska sound through and through. You may be thinking of skate punk 3rd wave if you really think this doesn't sound like ska. I suggest expanding your horizons before trying to say that arguably the closest sound to original 1st wave ska, doesn't sound like ska
Where have you been all my life? Thank you CZcams for popping this on my Home page. I LOVE brass and this was an absolute joy to listen to.
Well, it took Utube 10 years to show me this, and I’m so glad they did! Better late than never❤️🐝🤗
How am I just discovering these guys in 2022?! I love this. I’ve lost track of many times I’ve listened to this in the last few days.
I dunno why I got this recommended, but I'm enjoying the heck outta them.

@Cali 6311 And I love Blues Bothers.
thats just what i was thinking
Not even close . To either
Does not even come close why compare them at all
@@gregorygriffiths7776 The video itself invites comparison to Madness. Why else would they imitate Madness videos?
A decade later this shows up in the States. Thank you.
I just received news that my best friend of 52 years died. Get Smart was her favorite TV show. I have cranked this tune all afternoon. This is for you George.❤
Thank you Melbourne Ska Orchestra!!
Would you believe...?
Not sure why this popped up, but I'm glad it did. I love this!

Holy crap, such a thing as "Melbourne Ska Orchestra" exists! Thank you brothers ans sisters there down under! Finland out!
Blessed are the Ska-makers, sharing fun over all the earth.
Fantastic,

This evokes nostalgia for me,
Awesome!
Not just awesome - Awestraliasome!!
Brilliant. UK Ska applauds you.
Them going in and through the public toilet was flippin hilarious…and all stuffed into the elevator.. This made my Friday night 🍻🍻🍻 Cheers! Can’t get enough ska..miss the ole days!
(I’m 50 years young)
I'm 72. Went to a ska gig in my local last month. (never pulled, though!)
On a particularly crap day in Britain, what can raise the spirits like a bit of ska?
Thank you.
its called the united kingdom cos ireland and scotland are part of it. So are Scotish people british? I just don't understand it's 19 hours drive along the length. Isn't it really small. In Australia you will die if you start walking into the outback. Theres fences there that stretch the length of America. Do you just see the same places and same people everyday cos it's really small? I wanna go to Kew Gardens one day and see the palm house and all that. That's really all I wanna see just Kew Gardens maybe the gardens at Buckingham.
@@jhowardsupporter Hey there! I'm about as Scottish as you can get and HELL NO I'm not British, I'm Scottish and most Scots feel the same way. Do you see the same people and faces every day? That was a bit of a daft question really wasn't it? The UK is made up of Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and England, and each country within it has its own culture and heritage. Scotland and N.Ireland have very distinct but similar cultures and although Wales is a Celtic country like Scotland and NI it probably has more in common with England. To be honest, I know very little about English culture outside of the two stereotypes of skinhead football twats and Tea drinking upper crust bores, that's not to say either one of those stereotypes is accurate- I'm sure there are fun, friendly folk in the mix too, I've just never met any :P. The truth of the matter is, we're stuck together for the foreseeable future like it or not (and I reeeaaalllyyy don't) so we can politely ignore each other until a better solution can be found. Personally, devolution isn't far enough for most Scots and Irish, a clean and complete break is preferable. Great music though!
@@murphysgirlmurphy3369 thats great have you been to llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch?
@@jhowardsupporter Nah, We had tried though. We started out well enough, every 30 minutes there was a signpost...to what you said >:P ...After a while, the signposts were all smeared angling off diagonally. As we continued we came across a small roadside shrine. Instead of a plaque, there was a beautifully painted little signpost it said: "In memory of Dafydd Evans, the poor bastard died of exhaustion". Sad really.
Have you ever visited ...The Great And Powerful UK? Lol. If you haven't and can and can afford it, you should. It's a beautiful place.
For a great night out I'd recommend Glasgow, Belfast, Dublin, Edinburgh, and Newcastle (Newcastle is in England but right on the border with Scotland. It has been part of Scotland for short periods of time too. I guess we got a little barbarian on them and it stuck. They can party with the Scots and the Irish no problem and I've always found them to be great fun.
Loch Lomond and the Trossachs national park is stunning, as is the haunting Glencoe and Bannockburn. The Highlands and Islands are breathtaking and pristine. We have amazing Galleries, museums, pubs, shopping, clubs, and restaurants- not to mention the huge festivals we hold each year. Ireland is beautiful too, also boasting fantastic nightlife. food, history, Guinness! It really is a lot of fun and a holiday to remember.
@@murphysgirlmurphy3369 Well one of the old guys here is a former Mi6 agent. A couple from the SAS. I've watched Skins and The Powder Room and all sorts. We don't really have a culture in Australia, unless you consider being an Aussie Bogan culture, so we were all raised on American and British culture through the TV. Right now the Aussies think the 5g network causes corona virus. At the protest here one guy said "there is no corona virus" and the rest seem to think the 5g mobile phone network causes corona virus.
I'm nearly 37 years old. Why the hell has it taken me so long to find this gem of a band?!
They have t-shirts now... I think I just bought one...
The first rule of ska is stealth.
@@petermgruhn Lucky it's not "don't talk about Ska" or nobody would know...
It is because you did not call me.
How's the midlife crisis going?
I'm 10 years late as well, but You Tube was right. i keep listening again and again. this is wonderful.
Some gems are hard to find and even harder to get. It took youtube 10 years to show up with this one 🎉
Love this... A 60's TV show's music adapted to a bit of ska-punk with third wave ska. Well done you Aussies...
like the sax solo and the marimba. Are most of you still with us on planet earth?
Never!
Holy Moly! This is great! How am I just finding this now? Please come tour the states!
Oh COME ON! How am I only learning about these guys NOW? Tnis is BL**DY BRILLIANT
Every time I watch me it makes me smile ❤
I have always loved Ska since I first heard Mirror in the Bathroom back in high school. But this video has shown me the true power of Ska: to bring smiles, dancing, and joy to my heart, even after 3 weeks of social distancing and near isolation (I live alone). Thank you so very much!!
That's a good intro. My intro was, I thiiiink, a boot cassette of "I Just Can't Stop It" my sister got at college. "Listen to this." ZOUNDS! Which album starts with... "Mirror In The Bathroom." And maybe some Bad Manners and Specials... I forget.
Me toooooo♡♡♡♡
@@petermgruhn Once I heard The English Beats' " Tears of a Clown" in 1980 I was hooked on Ska!
@@josephdidonna7227 I go crazy, around 1982 when I hear "one step beyond" in the radio, and I "dance" like a chimpanse on speed, and didn t know, what backround these nutty boy s have, the music inself have, years later was explained to me, this is ska, from a girl in my highschoolclass, with the cool nam EnSKAt, thanx a lot!!!
Open a new world to me.
Loved Ska in high school and college (80s and 90s), then kinda stopped listening to it. Then I saw Fishbone on Ft. Collins, CO, 2 years ago, and 2 Ska bands opened for them! That rekindled my interest in Ska, and I've been discovering some hidden treasures both new and old!
These guys bring it every, single, time! Say what you will, but you'd need to be deaf (or maybe dead ?) not to appreciate those black and white 2 tone beats. This is an absolute class. Love you guys and gals!
Ha ha. Well said.❤😂
Finding new music everyday makes me so happy., Especially when it's great musicians involved
😂It was the one and only New Year's resolution I made, find old favourite music and find new music this year, no day shall go by without it lol.
Saw them live in Toronto Canada. It was a great show. We skanked our butts off. They were super nice and actually spoke to us because we had on our best ska regalia.
Get smart I was raised with this show as a kid I love this and I love ska love it thank you
Madness, Blues Brothers, Mighty Boss Tones. I'm happy.
I have no idea how I got here from what i was listening to but I'm happy i did.
Once bitten your Ska'd for life.
We so need a SKA revival in the UK .
BreSKA instead of Brexit sounds indeed nice :)
Been listening to ska/going to ska gigs since the 80’s. Why’d you need a revival? The music might not be in the charts but there are ska gigs going on every weekend.
The US needs one as well, because people here are so depressed over the stupidest things, and we could certainly use some bright sunshiny music.
I was in love with ska music when I was younger . I was watching young ones then this band came on and I was like who are these .Yeah it was madness first tv appearance and I was hooked from then ha ha
Humanity needs a Ska revival.
One of the best live bands I’ve seen at glastonbury festival, they had the place rocking, a must see live.
In all my 20-something years of being a ska fan, I've never heard of these guys until now.
just discovered these chaps . IM HOOKED reminds me in highschool when I first heard "Night Boat to Cairo". loves me some Ska!!

How many members of the Melbourne Ska Orchestra does it take to change a lightbulb?
Six. One to drop the lightbulb, and five to go "pickituppickituppickitup".
Nice one! I'm gonna use that
How many members of the Melbourne Ska Orchestra take Viagra? Hom many use a condom?

First time discovering this band, like the UK band madness vibe, fun Ska. Never knew there was a Skaill scene in Australia
Still sparkling wine in 2024
The more you listen to this band, the more sublime they get.
I listened to a lot of third wave ska back in the day, and even did a cameo appearance or two in a ska band hornline. But this *amazing* video only came up on my radar today. THANK YOU, Ska-locator and CZcams recommender algorithm!
This is great, where was I nine years ago?
Love your past , don't forgeit it 🎉 kiss from France
How to form a Ska Band:
First gather 1000 members
rush68
Did they throw back bottles of beer?
How does a ska band change a light bulb? 10. One guy on a ladder drops the bulb and the other members of the band dance, point and say "pick it up!", "pick it up!", "pick it up!"
Just love Ska.............
Imagine how hard it must be to coordinate a practice session?
Lol, If your going to start a SKA band, you had best gather 1000 talented people before you start buying the equipment, because 986/1000 of them will quit after the first practice session, (similar like my friend Steve was saying 3 months ago in this here thread)... As a member of a big band myself (Scottish Bagpipe and Drum band), I suspect their practices must be somewhat of a paramilitary affair in order to wrangle that many free-spirited artists into a cohesive something-or-other... Even the process of tuning can be an ordeal. (There is always that Prima Donna who says; "Why should I have to tune to everyone else? I'm perfect! Everyone else should tune to ME!)
Anyway, I think this is a great video; I can tell it took a ton of work and hundreds of hours and thousands of beers and tears to get it done... It makes me want to visit Melbourne (Melbun?) and maybe get lucky enough to catch these guys doing their thing in their home town with their home crew... Love from USA 👍👍👍
That's the second-biggest ska orchestra that I've ever seen!
8 years this vid has been up and I still show it to my musician friends and say, come on lads let's do this!
This music video is brilliant and these people are clearly having fun.
Classic Vespas. Two-tone suits. Innovative skanking. But it was the Baritone Saxophone solo that sold this for me. Well done mates.
Wow. My new faves! Not since Madness has there been such fun. Love the steel drums in the lift. Have this replace rap here and this country might still have a shot at greatness.
Well this is going on the forever playlist!
Love ska
That was fantastic! Lots of energy and a great version of the theme song. Loved the way it opened....
My Skalocator brought me to this CZcams video
There’s not enough ska in the world
Another great performance…
My grandpa watches this show a lot so I hear the theme all the time. This is a great rendition!
I used to watch the reruns in english and german with my grandfathers (one's german, one's english), RIP both of them and their respective wife
I watched it way back when in the first run, and had such a crush on Barbara Feldon. I was all of five....
That was so fun!
