Thanks for this, Rebecca!
I work for a non-profit radio station and today just finished my first 8-page newsletter for print using Canva. I'm no pro and don't have formal graphics design training, but over the past few years I've started to form an eye for what looks decent through creating a few projects. I like Canva overall, but really could use text boxes that allow images to be placed and have text flow around them. For our station's newsletter, I had to use multiple text boxes and place them strategically around the images. It worked, but not easy to make changes later. If I resized an image or changed some text in one box, then often I had to adjust the other boxes as well.
A glitch I discovered was you don't always get what you see on your screen. I had some thin horizontal lines that run to the edges of the page, and that's what appeared on my screen. But when I downloaded the PDF, those lines were considerably shorter on both ends.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to Canva continuing to improve and adding more features.
Hey
Amazing, thank you! There's a way to see only free elements in 2024? I did the same steps you did in this video, but there's no "price" option to select Free/pro
Thank you ! so am i building newsletters to post on social media & any where/everywhere to drive people to my website so i can receive money from Sponsers who want to post on my page? As well as links to selling my own items?
Could you embed the digital newsletter in a blog? Is embed code a thing? Thanks
Hi Jo, yes, you can embed your newsletter in your blog, whether it is hosted on Medium, WordPress or your own website.
If you are sending it via email, do you attach it as a document or insert it into an email? Have been sending a monthly newsletter to our members with gmail; using table with background color and inserting pics and text. Sends fine. But not particularly attractive. How could I do this with our Canva account?
Hey there! You can use our newsletter templates here to help you design your own: www.canva.com/newsletters/templates/. You can download your design after and attach it to your email. Hope this helps! ^mm

You talk about Newsletter.....n as u said is an email newsletter.....but u didn't say anything about adjusting it for mobile to be readable n in nice layout as well!
TLDR: Newsletters are a powerful tool for connecting with customers and building brand loyalty, and by using visually appealing layouts, images, and minimal text, you can create engaging and effective newsletters.
00:00 đ§ Design a newsletter that grabs attention with a great layout, images, and minimal text.
00:27 đ§ Newsletters are a great tool for staying connected to customers and building brand loyalty, with email newsletters having a higher open rate than social media, and the style and format should be tailored to the audience.
01:26 đ Use data visualization in Canva Templates to create a visually appealing newsletter with pre-written content.
01:58 đ° Choose a template with a layout that fits your content, customize it to save time, and consider a double-sided design for a text-heavy printed newsletter.
03:19 đĄ Add fitness and equipment images, incorporate branding, and create hierarchy in text to make a newsletter more visually appealing and engaging.
04:06 đ° Utilize past and upcoming events, add a call-to-action and discount voucher, and use the AIDA model to create a newsletter that stands out and engages readers.
05:18 đ§ Create digital newsletters with mobile-first design, larger text, and obvious links to encourage customer loyalty and advocacy.
06:20 đ§ Simply add the web address, share the newsletter, and print it at home or professionally to easily communicate with your audience.
