You guys seemed so prepared for your liter. When I was a kid, my guinea pig got pregnant unexpectedly (we didn't know our new guinea pig was female, so we put her with our male guinea pig). When we realized she was pregnant, we got so freaked out because we had no idea what to do. But when she finally gave birth, I was so excited because there were these four cute baby guinea pigs in the cage. What my mom saw, however, was four guinea pigs covered in mystery fluids that she thought she was going to have to clean. We had no idea that guinea pigs clean their babies themselves. Basically, we were clueless and freaked out

These pups are painfully cute. The runt is my favorite, really glad that it pulled through. Without you bottle feeding the little guy he probably wouldn’t have made it, he’s lucky to have you.

Oh my gosh they are so cute and their little noises! ♥️ I had no idea guinea pups were born fully furred and ready to run! For some reason I thought they would be hairless and helpless like bunny kits. I can’t believe the 4 pups fit inside one mumma??? Guineas have the cutest little faces. Sorry Ophelia lost her pup, but thankful that she can be a great Aunty-mumma for the other pups. Thank you for this video! 🙏🏻

Yup Guinea pig babies are born altricial. Cat and dogs are precocious.
They are natural prey in the wild so they have to be born alert.

Guinea pigs are so different than hamsters, the pigs come out fully developed and ready to go while it takes hamsters 2 weeks to even be developed enough to even look newborn.I worked in a store that had a guinea pig, the female gave birth but died hours later. They kept the babies with the male and he raised them I don't know if the lady who worked pets feed them milk, but they were eating solid food.
HELP MEE you probably won't answer but my guinea pigs had 2 baby's 😭✋ one of them the mom had eaten it's back legs and I didn't know till I realized she had baby's and the other one is fine but isn't really walking I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DOOO

My brother had two white and brown Guinea pigs (Nutmeg and Co Co) and then day our dad came in and noticed a black rodent running in there cage and he literally said “WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT”
it turned out Nutmeg had given birth to an adorable black and white female we named Pepper
On top of everything pepper is actually an incest of Nutmegs father so we had to make sure she didn’t have any defects
So ceeuoooooot! I'm going to start saying cute this way.

my sisters guinea pig had 2 babies in June 26. they were named Pie and Tux they are both boys. And now my guinea pig had 5 babies Monday August 9 at 1pm. they are seriously adorable. Squish and Bacon are girls. Fox Patches and Peanut are boys. we found out the gender after we named them. we found out the gender when they were about 2 hours old idk
and my sister got a new guinea pig that it also pregnant and I think she's gonna have the babies tonight or tomorrow. there's about 3 in hers. 4 max, 2 minimum

Please do not breed your guinea pigs, It is very risky for the mother guinea pig cause the mother or the one of the babies could die, and you don't know if a guinea pig is a carrier for a disease such as teeth problems.

What were you feeding the runt with the syringe when she was first born?
This is a very sweet video, the problem I have with it is that you shouldn't be holding the babies until at least a week after birth and should never separate from the mother unless you are rehoming them which can only be done with 6 week old babies.

Please, don't. There are plenty of abandoned guinea pigs that (if they're lucky...) end up at a rescue - and never get adopted into a loving home.

My guinea pig is pregnant and I was wondering what milk to feed if one isn’t strong enough or some problem comes to the mother so yeah
Evaporated milk one part water and one part milk will be fine and don’t syringe it let them suck it off a pieces of bread syringe feeding can make it go into thier lungs
Goats milk. They are lactose intolerant, so no cows milk.
