I believe you to be 100% in the right in this instance. The car in front needed to just swallow his pride, lick his wounds and battle another day.

Your definitely right. He should of let you passed before then.
As Iâm a lot slower then everyone else, Iâm always letting everyone past anyway. I sometimes get caught out that everyone catches me in the wrong place and Iâm trying to moving out of the way but cause more grief then it should of been. đ€
My only point towards this person was that he might of thought he was quicker then your car and tried to gap you even though he was 5laps down. But after 1 or so laps he new you werenât going away and then he must give you the position so you can fight the effective car in front.
He got what he deserved. Would love to know why he was 5 laps down? Did he block others and got tagged into the fence? đ€Ș
Haha yeh its a tough one, but even if your slower mate just continue on racing line and be predictable that's the main thing. Safest option for me most of the time If I'm being lapped I just roll off into a braking zone let em take the inside and u don't lose much at all

yeh i gave him the benefit of the doubt but i did it as clean as i could when he was racing me super hard being a lap car

Really dont see a point in holding someone up thats 5 laps ahead of you! He was just being a pest for 5 laps, me personaly, if i have a car catch me and get a blue flag, i tell them to lass right or left on the next straight, keeps everyone happy and no accidents happen.

I kinda wish iRacing just adopted FIA rules for blue flags and handed out an automatic time penalty similar to cutting corners if the blue flag is ignored.
Also in a recent race I had a guy go off at other people for overtaking him under yellow. People need to read the rule book properly. That reminds me, I should go read the rule book properly.đ€Ł
Yeh 100% agree if they have blue flag shown for a full lap should be a time penalty
Haha yeh everyone thinks they know the rules till they have a look at the sporting code, that's why I showed it at the start of the vid
you can't just get angry at somone just because you decided to overtake on the outside he also stuck to his line and looked like he had no intention of blocking you and switching lines in the rules on iracing they say at no point you need to lift to let blue flag car go by yes he could of moved over and moved to the side but he has every right to keep the throttle on full power. He could off given more space for you when you had the incident as you did have the inside line!
I totally get your point but in a long endurance race, why try to race one of the cars thats 5 or so laps in front of you. Just comes down to common sense, I showed the rules at the start of the vid its "strongly recommended to help facilitate a safe pass". What he was doing was totally opposite to that
Don't think he was wanting to race you even if you look on the last corner before the straight if he was racing you he would of gone over to the side to defend the position instead he kept to the outside lane and you could of easily made the move there and you could of done the same at other parts of the track the main mistake he made was on the first corner taking the inside lane on the first long straight however he did let you take the inside land on the second lap
@alexdyter8237 these were only two laps of footage, his defence went on for nearly 5 laps leading up to me going up the inside. He had many opportunities to lift off into braking zones and let me duck down the inside, it was like we were racing for the win with 8hrs to go in the race and him being 5 laps down from our position. Why put yourself at risk when its not even the halfway point of a 12hr race, as I said earlier as well as in the vid it comes down to common sense and a bit of racing respect between drivers đ€·ââïž
Ah okay that makes a bit more sense then can only comment on what I saw in the video! Yeah that would be annoying he was probably just board then and happy to have someone to race againts i find it better to have somone in your team message them privately people don't always have there voice chats on in endurendce races!
Many messages were sent to their team from my spotters and one of my team mates were reported for saying "WTF blue flags dude". Didn't swear literally typed wtf. He was just having a bad day and we seemed to be his dart board, I'd rather go down fighting somebody for position not a bloody lap car
