I own a 1995 E320 and the current odometer reading is 412,000 miles. I had the car repaintrd in 2014 and every minute rust area was repaired. I replaced the transmission recently with a factory transmission. The car still runs as good as it has since I purchased it in 2000 with 67k on it. One of the besr cars that I have owned.

@kosmosleha - Depends on the style... I have a '94 E320 Cabrio and some parts are exceedingly difficult to source. The sedans and wagons are likely easier. Some parts are "running dog capitalist lackey" priced. If MB would "open source" the engineering specs, it would probably be cheaper to 3D print some parts.

This is pure nostalgia! I had one W124 in 1989 as new, and this looks like it came from the factory. It is so easy to handle, so easy to maintain and so fun on the roads, turns on a dime. I remember all of the hieroglyphics and the feel of it, even the smell. Thank you showing this astonishing well care Mercedes. If I lived in the US, I'd buy it right away. The person who buys this car, WILL NEVER be disappointed.

The W124 was noted to have the stiffest chassis of any production car ever at 66MHz. My mother owned one of these back then and I got to drive it often. It was a fantastic car. It's a Mercedes when Benzes were Benz and not the crap they are turning out now.

My son just bought a 1995 E320 with 90k on it for 2500.00. The lady bought it brand new in Atlanta in 1995 then took it down to Palm City for many years. It sat in the sun so very oxidized. A truck driver brown down in her city so he bought this car, drove it up to Michigan where another owner had it for a while, and sat a bit. She's still working great though! The emblem was missing on the car so that's the 1st thing he bought. We have a friend who works on these and BMWs so it will be getting a tune up very soon. Ty for sharing!!

My God this car has aged very well. It really looks almost brand new, absolutely mint condition!
I think the W124 chassis was one of the best designs from Mercedes-Benz. Still making very well equipped vehicles, decent power figures and very reliable if well maintained throughout its lifespan, which can be very long indeed.
This is almost a museum piece! I bet someone who can time-travel from the 1990's to the present will confuse this example with one that just came straight out of the factory.
My father had some years ago a W124 300CE-24 Valve convertible with a manual transmission. Only 40.000kms (25.000 miles), but had to sell it because it needed quite a few things regarding maintenance for having sat a really long time in a garage and needed the money to make some repairs in the house. Still had the factory tyres and had that real leather Mercedes-Benz scent!

Few are aware of the Mercedes actually had the outer design about finished already somewhere around in 1978-1980. Then naturally some years of technical development and testing naturally before put on the marked in the mid 80's. So my 124 is a 40 year old design, and it actually still blends in quite well in in today's traffic, I have a grey metallic color, the facelift bonnet and changed the orange markers with white ones. I so love the design and I'm proud of driving a 23 year old car every day to work. My '95 300D have cost me around 1000 usd a year in parts and repair the last 10 years, with me doing 80% of the service myself. that naturally saves me a lot. Planning to give it a good upgrade with new coat of paint within 5 years, she deserves it.

As much as I do like (some) modern Mercedes vehicles (I commute in a C300), these classic Benz cars are absolutely, without question, leagues better in quality and luxury than anything they’re putting out now.
Yeah, the technology and performance may not be up to par with modern standards, but the pure solidity, simplicity, and reliability is outstanding. This conveys such a subtle sense of luxury that modern luxury cars simply cannot replicate, and the experience is just unrivaled by anything modern. Sophistication is defined by these cars, and it really is something else.

Been taken care of as we speak for my aim is one million kilometers :)
This cars has really all I need, and it has some features even today´s cars don´t have sometimes, like not only heated screenwasher reservoir, but also electricaly heated spray nozzles, and that since it´s first production year 1986 ! I've got 197, 780 on my '94 Cabrio. Starting to use a bit of oil, but nothing serious. That straight 6 engine will need a timing chain at 250k, but I'll be gone by then. I'm slowly starting to customize it. So far I've put some nice scratches and dents in it, and a cracked bumper... looks good! lol Seriously, though... it's triple black, so I've got a black front hood emblem and black hub inserts on order. No "E320" or "4MATIC" on the trunk. I'm going to put paper-thin self-adhesive veneer over the wood trim; something exotic. Replace the aluminum strips on the chassis door opening with copper. Possibly do the exterior trim in copper later, as funds and motivation permit. Put some cameras in it. Maybe do a "tie-dye" wind screen. Get some 4-sided "D&D" type fuzzy dice.
And upgrade the sound system so I can drown out that horrible urban pop garbage with some respectable MC5 and Blue Cheer!

Had the same car, same color same condition, got hit in the rear end by a Dodge ram on the interstate in Georgia, totalled.
Nice car, good pull, the ride at hwy cruising speed is solid, but needs more oomph compared to the V8 e420.
Solid build, expensive to fix,I had no major work done besides all shocks, coils, radiator and hoses, water pump.
Harness was good. These cars regularly run hot though so beware.
    Had for 8years,good times.

+1. .. Fond memories the W124 series. .. I too came across a 1-owner MY94 E 320 Coupe variant a few years ago. .. The "as-new" coupe now serves as the daily driver. .. Like Bill's modest mileage - 2-owner MY95 E 320 sedan, our coupe is also finished in 702 Smoke Silver metallic with 265 Creme Beige Leather. .. Hey Bill, have a look at the 3.2l engines external serpentine belt - think of an extra-long, extra-wide fan belt... This OE belt requires a change every 30k miles or 4 years. ..Age kills this belt. .. About $60.00/belt and 1hr install. .. All the best, good luck M/S

They really nailed it with the W124! We used to own a E200 back in 90-92. man that was a sweet ride despite its under powered engine, I believe it had 90-95 hp, but still, it was a cruiser.
I'm actually looking at a E420 at the moment with 74000 miles on it, hope to make a deal asap before it gets sold!
