Another excellent presentation in this series. Thank you for the time invested in putting this all together.
Monero truly fixes these "anonymity" issues
awesome series, id love to hear what he thinks about altcoins finding efficient solutions to a lot of bitcoin's weak points
Awesome lecture!
Would be interesting to see their opinion on current state of btc. Most of these are too expensive right now due to network fees.
You guys should have included the ring signatures as they are implemented by Monero
Roeland Creve This lecture was originally given in 2014. I'm not sure whether cryptonote had been proposed/implemented by the time of the lecture. To further illustrate this, note that the lecture on ASIC-resistant mining doesn't even mention cryptonight.
I did not know that. The publish date is march 23 2015 :)
Monero exists since april 18 2014.
Roeland Creve Yeah, this lecture was on Coursera before it was uploaded here. I don't remember whether it was released before or after Monero.
thank you !
Thanks. It would be nice if you put the names of the speakers in the video info.
You can find list of the lecturers in the first slides of the first video, if you're interested.

To what? Metallica? I like it.
*0!
The lecturer erroneously lumped all 'online wallet services' together. There are services that maintain zero knowledge and are non-custodial.
God! This Narayanan guy cannot teach Bitcoin using generalizations for easier learning!
