The more you watch these..the more you realise everything we say about Angelina is the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Actually the really strange thing is most child prodigys hit a glass ceiling. Angelina at 17 is still improving
You see a lot of kids on the at Angelina’s age here on the table t shows on TV. A lot have amazing voices but they are usually try to sing as loud and as high as they can to impress the judges and the audience. Few of them have the details, timing, subtleties, nuances and techniques that Angelina has had since she was very young.
SIR, God or the universe gave her that dark smoky voice and a big intelligence. A Angel/Fan met her when she was 12, and he told us, after talking with her and her mom, that she is mature beyond her years. I met kids like this. One moment they behave like kids, the next moment you are talking to a 40 year old professor at a university. No Joke. I got confirmation. Even today she is older than her passport let uns to believe.
Lets talk about stage command, has the band, audience and viewers at home totally in the palm of her tiny hands. She has the crispness of Michael Bublé , with her own unique tone. She can not be compared to anyone. Rb

This is my favorite version of this song! She is a Master at age 10. Unbelievable but then again, Angelina is always full of surprises. She always blows me away! You need to check out her at age 6 in a recording studio singing I Who Have Nothing.

At age 10, Angie had about a dozen amazing performances, in many different genres. A newcomer to her could pick any of the genres to listen to and then think that was her style and that she should stay in that lane.

Our barefoot Princess at age 10 not only has a beautiful mature voice, but her stage presence & timing are as good as seasoned adult performers. Looking forward to more of your Angelina reactions. Please consider 2 more of her performances while still just 10: "Every time We Say Goodbye" (sung on a rooftop with just an acoustic guitar) & IMHO one of her best at any age "I'm Still Holding Out For You". Thank you for the reaction and for noticing her musical arrangement. As an arranger yourself, it is a most to react to some of her rehearsals with the musicians, if there's a reason that they always sound so good, it's about the rehearsals and YES, she has always being in charge of those. lol
I don't speak Norwedish either. I have watched this girl grow into a stunningly beautiful woman with a voice that continually evolves to greater and greater reaches in music. The first time I heard this I was as you blown away by the complete mastery of a 10 year old girl over a song that shouldn't cross her path well until now when she is 17. I dealt with the first three fourths of her handling this song. I used to say I am never surprised by what she does, but I am always amazed. Well that ending made my head explode. It just kept climbing and I thought her voice is going to crack and up and up she went and the the flourish at the very top with the growl and I was undone. This and several other performances led me to call this her first golden era of Angelina.

Thank you for another reaction to Angelina. In my opinion, she is the best singer in the world, and there are thousands of others who would agree with me. Every moment you spend featuring her on your channel will being you great emotional satisfaction.
There are so many things I get from this performance. Some I recognised immediately and those I missed were brought to my attention by the more observant Angelina fans (her Angels) and I thank them for letting me know what I had missed.
(1) The realisation that at the age of 10 Angelina has shed all childishness from her voice.
(2) A feeling that the placement of the spotlight at the beginning of her performance was deliberate. If it was, then, to my mind, it was a brilliant move.
(3) The fact that Angelina arranged this song and that the band kept out of the way and let her voice be the focus.
(4) The incredible low note she sang for the word "good" at the beginning and end of the performance.
(5) That wonderful crescendo at the end.
(6) The was Angelina used her left arm and hand throughout the performance
(7) The way she changed the microphone from her right hand to left hand, so that she could flip her hair back with her right hand.
(8) The cheeky smile she gave to the cameraman when she realised he had focused on her at about 3.40 in your reaction video.
(9) The sideways look and grin she gives to her instrumentalists just after she curtsies to the audience -- as if to say, "Yeah, we killed it, guys! Now let's go get some ice cream!"
(10) The almost instantaneous switch from "performance" mode to that of a young child who,curseyed and gave a sweet smile to the audience as an acknowledgement of their applause.
Others have commented that the performance by Nina Simone should be considered the "gold" standard for this song. Until recently, I had never watched her performance, but have now done so. They just cannot be compared, for Angelina's arrangement is totally different

You are quickly coming to the realization that Angelina Jordan is uncompromisingly unique and special. She not only travels in her own lane, but she is in her own category. There is no other young female vocalist I know of that can sing in any genre and who has Angelina’s versatility.
Angelina stands alone in a sea of very talented young artists. She had already attained levels of unequaled technical proficiency, professionalism, sophistication and acumen before she hit double digits in age. She was already doing things at such a young age that forty year old seasoned professionals still can not do.
Angelina is absolutely fearless when it comes to covering the past and current greatest vocalists. She defies and obliterates conventional stereotyping. Watching Angelina’s 6,7,8,9 and 10 year old performances has caused professional voice coaches, well known producers, song writers, musicians and seasoned vocalists to question their beliefs and sense of reality. She is incomparable.

Her voice is unique, she is unbeatable with that voice, the big difference between Angelina Jordan and the other female singers is that there are singers who get vocal coaches, with a lot of discipline and others are born with an unimaginable talent given by God, Angelina was born to sing, her sense of music is impressive, Angelina never had vocal coaches, she only had them to teach her not to hurt her voice, only to guide her, but not modify her way of interpreting music, she is a storyteller, it is a gift that gave us the universe, México
This has always been one of my favorite Angelina performances. Not only the maturity in her voice but the stage presence is outstanding. She absolutely rules the whole performance. Keep watching her videos and I don't think you'll ever find a bad one. She recorded a whole album when she was 11 years old with the Staff Band of the Norwegian Armed Forces and then performed them live with the band during a summer concert when she was 12. She also did a summer concert with another jazz band when she was 11 and those are all excellent as well. Keep up the good work and we'll keep listening and enjoying. Peace.

Reactors are usually putting in a lot of time making this content. The least we can do is provide links when we make requests. This is especially true with Angelina's performances, as there are often 3 or more versions
I agree. It really bugs me when fans comment, and sometimes get upset, that a reactor reacted to the “wrong version”. This doesn’t just refer to Angelina songs. If no links are given, how is a reactor to know which is supposed to be the “right version”. Also, some fans might differ in opinion as to what they consider to be the right version.

It is amazing how she comes up with changes no one has ever done or tried.
She not only makes covers her own but sings songs the way they were meant
to be sung. Pure genius and the G.O.A.T.
This is a very old song, written for a musical in 1964 and covered many times since, and this is one of the notable covers (regardless of the artist's age). This took place live on stage and was broadcast live nationwide on Norwegian television.
The whole performance here is great, on par with famous gigs of the past, but this finale is unique - a great upgrade not found on the critically acclaimed Nina Simone version, nor on Michael Buble.
But aside from the ending - everything about it is perfect: not only did the band do a great job, they synchronized seamlessly with Angelina's beautiful vocals, the lighting is top notch (remember that pulsating aura at the beginning), as is the camera work (remember the 360 degree tracking shot around her, along with the "hey" she said to us with her eyes). I just wish we could have seen more of the audience - that's the benefit of the Allsang pa grensen version a few months earlier (and I have to admit I like the finale there a bit better).
The occasion Angelina performed here is not just a stage performance, it's a charity event benefitting a Norwegian Charity supporting children. It is called "The Stream gir tilbake (= gives back)" because finalists from The Stream vocal contest performed there, along with established artists like Angelina.
The event took place on Friday 30 December 2016 and has been broadcast live on TV 2 Norway from the event hall at Chateau Neuf Oslo (1,400 seats), so Angelina was still 10yo but very shy of her 11th bday on January 10th.
Finally, it's nice to see that she was able to find a good use for this result of all the hard work she has done together with Avicii on this rendition, which the Volvo marketing people in the end didn't want to use in their advertising campaign.
