- Sofia is one of the oldest cities in Europe, and the Thracians established it. It later became an important city in the Roman Empire. In 1879, it became the capital of Bulgaria, a year after the country was liberated from 500 years of Turkish enslavement. Although most of the main sights are concentrated in the city centre and can be seen within 24 hours, there are still plenty of things to do and see in Sofia and its surrounding areas. Clean and cheap for stay city, people are very friendly and polite, a lots of stylish architecture during the different era of this rich with history city, I found this gem on my next trip for more days...I'm coming this year again.
Looks like a nice place to visit. I like Bulgaria mostly because of their roses and rich folcklore.

Hi,guys ! Great city to visit.But if you are comming to Bulgaria male sure you will see also the second largest city - Plovdiv-it's magnificent ! And it's only 2 hours by car from Sofia.Also,you can see Rila Monastery it'like also 2 hours from Sofia.There so many amazing places to see in my beautul Bulgaria.Thanks for watching ! 🇧🇬🇧🇬❤🇧🇬🇧🇬

I am from Sofia myself and I suggest you spend only 3 days there and then go visiting other Bulgarian places like Plovdiv, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Nessebar, Sozopol, and many more. The video is nice and certainly shows only the best parts of the city but if you come to Bulgaria don't forget to visit other places than Sofia.

Notice: Sofia is capital of Bulgaria but there is no any transport for tourists to the mountain Vitosha for day and night view of Sofia! Another all Balcan countries have transport for tourists for view of their capitals. It is really sad for Sofia because there is amazing view over Sofia!
There is transport to the mountain on the weekends and accessible by car any day. It is very easy to reach the mountain by car, it's a 40 minute car ride from the center of the city till beautiful sightseeing spots in the mountain.
There is a lift.cabin car to to Vitosha.
There are several bus lines to the mountain and two cabin lifts as well...
