I'll second what Billie Wylie said! I love your videos, always learn something new. It is such a joy to see an old object become new and fully functional again. Then to see Veronika explain the history and functionality is just a delight. Thank you so much for posting!

The historical part that Veronika does is so interesting and well done. My family cooked on a three burner kerosene stove when we went camping. I still have that Coleman stove 70 years later. I have a two burner stove that cooks on propane for camping now, and use it when the electricity goes out! That stove has a lot of life and usefulness left in it!

When I see these sort of stoves being restored it takes me back to my childhood. Money was always in short supply in my family, and so paraffin (kerosene) was the only heating we had, though, thankfully, not used for cooking. The heaters were still being used in the 1970s. Watching this video I could smell my childhood! Bitter-sweet memories.

Great video! Small detail.. in the English translation she talks about lighting the 'stones'. If she meant the white cloth that pulls the fuel up from the tank, the best word in Englsh is 'wick'. We say the fuel 'is wicked' up from the tank by the wick. I've never seen such huge wide wicks, I have only seen the little ones on lamps before. Interesting.
