My son got me one for Christmas, I’m actually sitting by it now as I watch your review. I really like it, but I do recommend the cover. It’s 40 degrees here, so it feels great. Thanks for sharing your opinions, be well and God bless.
That’s awesome! Thank you!
This is awesome! I am going to have to get this for my bonfire! Thank you so much for your review! 😁
Absolutely! Thank you for watching!
Thanks for your awesome review. I need to get one now.
Thank you for watching! They’re not cheap, but we do still like ours.
@@ReviewThisThing solo stove surround discount code SURROUND100 is now $100 less. Now it’s more affordable now.
Oh wow!!!
After assembling yours, what would you think about leaving the beveled part of the top off, giving you a 28 inch space for a Yukon to fit. Maybe a high temp gasket around the inside of the shelf for heat transfer. The Yukon surround is a bit too big for the area I want to put it. Just wondering. Thanks.
Hmm. I’m not sure about that. I would think the only issue might be the things on the bottom that the stone rests on. They may not fit.
Thank you for this video - I can’t find a single video from the angle of a young child parent using these products. Of course the first thought is - very hot fire pit and little kids is a recipe for disaster- this accessory reduces a little the risk and it may be the reason I won’t get a Breeo X despite the amazing features that product has.
It definitely adds a sense of comfort. The Breeo is awesome, though.
Thanks for your reviews. So when you use the surround with the heat deflector, can you place drinks on the surround ? Or does it get too hot?
As long as you don’t put the drink too close to the middle, it should be fine, I think. I will say that we haven’t used our deflector much with it because I keep forgetting to get one with taller legs 🫤 Thank you for watching!
How do you get the longer legs for the deflector?
I’ve been told you call customer service, but I keep not doing it 🤦🏼♀️
So do u need the base to the stove if you have this? Can i just get the base version without the stand?
Correct. If you have the surround, you don’t need the stand.
Hello, can you use the shield plus the deflector at the same time?
So…we do - use the deflector with the taller legs and the Surround, BUT they say you shouldn’t 😊
Great review! Found a new bonfire on marketplace for $120 and a surround for $200. Had to get a surround cover from Solo since they don’t exist on Marketplace 😢 $400 for my set up and I’m all kinds of addicted
HOLY SMOKES! That’s a FIND! Yeah - it happens 😁
Someone found a divorce sale lol that is insane prices - way to go
Sounds like it!
can I get this instead of the stand?
You can. You don’t use the stand inside of it.
Is the stove easy to clean having it in the surround?
It’s very easy to remove, especially with a handle.
Can I use the spreader together with the spark arrester?
Hmmmm…I don’t know. I haven’t ever used a spark screen.
@@ReviewThisThingmmh okay, thanks for the fast reply Miss
@rorschach3826 you got it!
2:52 "the bezel does get a little bit warmer .... but its not warm at all" 🙂
😊 The bezel does - the outer shelf not as much. More words might help.
@@ReviewThisThing my comment is a quote from your video
@@Redridge07 oh, I know! I meant I could have said more words - the bezel does heat up, but the shelf around the outside of the bezel doesn’t really.
Thank you for watching!
@@ReviewThisThing i enjoy your reviews 🙂
@Redridge07 thank you so much! That means a lot. I appreciate you watching them!
My stove came with the stand, should/could I use that with the surround?
You don’t need the stand with a Surround.
@@ReviewThisThing but I like the way it looks a bit higher up! any good reason I shouldn't use it if i want to?
Not that I can think of. As long as it still sits securely. It may not sit right up against the stabilizers, because I believe the stand is a bit more narrow. Just check and make sure it would be stable enough. I haven’t read anything saying not to.
@@ReviewThisThing It actually fits better with the stand than without and setts the fire that much higher. However, it does expose your hands/feet/etc to a couple inches or really hot surface. That's the only downside I see.
Good deal. Thanks for the info!
Solo stove came out with a pellet adapter. Will you try and review that?
Hmm...I'll see what I can do!
@@ReviewThisThing your reviews really help out and has helped me in deciding what to get and not get for the solo stove. Appreciate the work you do to put these videos out. Thank you 😊
@sal6830 thank you so much. That means a lot. We enjoy doing it and always hope we are helping people out!!!
How do you find the heat deflector with longer legs? It only shows it in 7 inch.

Are people using the hundred dollar Home Depot table with the bonfire or just by itself? Love you videos.
Thank you so much. I’ve seen them use it with the Bonfire. I think they just take that inside thing out, but I’m not sure.
@@ReviewThisThingOk thanks
You got it.
Looks like Home Depot raised the price to 250 for that same fire pit…
Oh wow! They’re not dumb.
Thanks for commenting on the false advertising of a 20 min install.. 1hr 15mins is more realistic. Rush to build this before a dinner party as stressful. Otherwise nice piece.
You’re welcome. Yeah - 20 minutes is not happening. Thanks for watching!
I rage-called my wife after unpacking the surround. I still can't comprehend how this thing has some many parts. After install, everything was forgiven though...
😂😂😂
I wish the sides weren’t fabric.
What would you prefer? Other than making it a bit of a challenge to clean, it's pretty nice.
@@ReviewThisThing possibly the same perf metal as the top. Faux concrete (like planters). Or nothing.
@nathancorning3695 ah. I gotcha. I think part of the reason for something is that barrier of protection for pets/kids. Maybe they used fabric so it would be lighter??
