The thing we as working men and women need to realize is we can't keep buying things we can't afford and expect to get ahead. It took me 20 years to realize that I don't need a fancy truck or house to make me happy, very little debt and being able to take a few days off without it killing me makes all the difference in the world. I used to be the man that had two boys and a wife with bills I couldn't pay but now they're grown and it's just the wife and myself and I'm only 42 years old. Life is too short to be a slave to the debt machine.

I just kept working I now have 4 children, My homes paid for, I own a small cabin up in the hills of Oklahoma, and I have few toys to play with. The media and big business would have us believe that being rich and wearing a suit to work makes us successful. I believe success is relative. I am now the CEO of a small internet company but that's not where I succeeded in life. The beautiful family I have created and worked so hard to support is what got me to where I am today. Look at food prices. they have tripled, along with utilities, and general commodities.I don't have a problem playing the (markets) or making money. So just to sum up your comments of stupidity. To the people that pushed thumbs down....I and my family live in a country called Zimbabwe and we live a life of suppression and dictatorship. I spent 6 years of my life in Afghanistan supporting freedom but cant live that life!!!! I would love to have that opportunity and the life you Americans have but simply cant. We have been forcefully removed from our land and live life day to day not knowing what tomorrow holds but you can if you all stand together and strong. You have that opportunity so dont waste it please.

I love this song. I'm only 19 but I've done quite a bit of work in my short lifespan, mostly remodeling old trailers and houses with my dad. Most of my family thinks I should be an English teacher, but I can't shake the feeling that it's not what I'm meant to do. I want to carry on the family tradition of being hard working, blue-collar Americans who bust their asses for everything they have. I'm not going to just sit around and collect a check from the government, I'm gonna get out there, get my hands dirty, scuff up my boots and be a man. It won't be fun in the Texas heat, but I'll sweat with pride knowing that I'm not letting a family tradition die out
