By the way, he submitted retirement papers long before his unit was ordered to deploy. And he was out of the National Guard 2 months before those orders came to the unit he was serving with. You just can't walk away from a unit. A guy with 24 years of service to America who retires, takes roughly 6 months to a year to go through the chain of command.

If the only credit given to this dude is that he called a press conference and didn't use a teleprompter (teleprompters aren't used in press conferences by anyone) that's a LOW bar. If there is no substance or concrete plans shared, then what was even the point?
