@@MaitrayeeHalderPERFECTIFIED Not bad if that's what makes your heart happy. I am a beginner in my skincare journey and have been purchasing and trying a lot of problems on influencer recommendations on CZcams. I have extremely oily skin, so I never even thought of applying anything on my skin. Now I use everything beginning from a cleanser, toner, serum, moisturiser to a sunscreen. My main and only target is oil control as of now. I habe tried niacinamide 5% till now after 3% niacinamide didn't help. I have already ordered 10% niacinamide to see if it helps visibly in oil reduction. My final resort will be retinol for oil reduction. Am I going right? Please advise and suggest.
@@gouranganeog6035 Try using salicylic acid based toner once or twice a week. 10% Niacinamide is great but might be too much. Try using products specifically made for oily skin such as a matte moisturizer or a sunscreen. Kaolin also helps in controlling sebum, and zinc pca too.
@@MaitrayeeHalderPERFECTIFIED I forgot to tell you that I am already using salicylic acid 2%+zinc PCA facewash from Minimalist. Also, I tried 2% salicylic acid serum which I discontinued after using it a few times. Yes, I use gel based moisturiser and matte sunscreens. And my skin is very tolerant. I am now using Foxtale 5% niacinamide serum which isn't causing me irritation.
My questions are: will 10% niacinamide really help in oil reduction? Does retinol help in reducing oil, since many say it causes dryness? I think salicylic acid is for exfoliation. So, I am not using it as niacinamide is gentler and largely targets oil control.
