- Follow along as I give a tour of my "Ron Paulk Inspired" mobile tool trailer. Thank you Ron for sharing your ideas and making them available. It's your mentorship that has shaped this trailer, my work flow, and my thought process.

did you wiegh your trailers loaded and empty ? just wondering.
No I didn't. I have #7000 of capacity on the axles and I believe the trailer itself weighs in at around #3000. That leaves me with approximately #4000 of capacity. My plywood for the cabinets weighed in around #1400 not including any waste/cutoffs. That leaves me with #2600 of tool capacity. My current guesstimate is I'm running #5500-6000. 🤷♂️
I do need to go weigh it.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@shooshinejonnie Good deal . I think you can cruse with no problems ! :)
My trailer axle weight fully loaded with all tools came in at #6820.
My 8x8x15 trailer with bare essentials (full power tool gang box) and front workbench weighs in at 3,750 and is plated for 7,500. If i fully load up, probably closer to 7,500, not to mention risking over $40k in toys
This is awesome setup
“I just tweaked some this morning”
Ok, I’m in.
“These are my stepladders. Not my real ladders, but I love them like they’re my own...” Awesome dad joke
Thanks for watching and commenting. 😁😁😁
I had to watch that clip twice. I couldn’t believe what I’d heard! 😂
😶......🤔.....😂
I use puns and jokes all day long. The ladder one was a keeper. I'll be using that one soon. Great video keep up the good work.
Loved it!
Anthony comes across as an all-around good wholehearted wholesome guy. someone like you would like to see at your doorstep for an estimate and expertise within their particular field.
Thank you Mr Top. I try my best to be that person and I'm glad it translated through the video. 😊
Completely impressed!!
A lot of great ideas…. Dang!👍
Glad you liked it!!
6 minutes in and I can tell you have some great ideas and I'm taking notes! Great build
Thanks for watching and commenting. I'm happy you found inspiration. 😁
What a nice setup. I have worked out of a service body truck for 30 years now and couldn't agree more with the being efficient and professional aspect of an organized setup.
Thank you.
I love the fact that you 3 separate trailers configured in such a way as you could walk into the other guys trailer and know your way around
Yes it made it very nice if we were only able to get one trailer on the job.
Best build ever! You could go in business just selling these trailers. Thank you for all the knowledge and I appreciate how detailed this is.
I'll build you one. 😁 Thanks Austin for watching and commenting.
Great trailer. I like that you personalized it to you and your innovations in bringing plastic have opened up the idea of options to build.
Thank you and thanks for watching.
Great video, i love to watch these to get ideas for my own van. Through these type videos I’ve become more efficient.
Thank you. I am learning the same way.
I’m in the middle of making my smart works shop in a van , I saw your idea for your tile drawer and build one very similar for my plastering tools , thanks for the idea , keep up the good work . I love your trailer . Very well done .
Thanks for the kind words Alan. I'm glad you found something of value for your build. Thanks for watching.
Do a little video Alan. I'm working out of a minivan. I'd love to see what you've come up with.
What a great build! I love all the compartments and the hold down screws. Going to the drawer build video next.
Thanks for the kind words, watching and commenting.
This is one of the best contractor trailers I've been able to find!!! Excellent work and planning!!!
Thank you Mad Jeeper NH for the kind words.☺️ They are appreciated. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Nicely done and presented! And there is another aspect too: when I as a customer see a well organized mobile workstation like that, I‘d trust you with any of my problems and would expect the same highly professional planning and execution! That impression is invaluable!
Thanks for the kind words. Your observation is exactly what I'm aiming for.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
So many excellent ideas, not only for trailer, but also good for workshop in general. Thanks so much!!
Thank you for the kind words. I'm happy that you found value in the information.
Very impressed with your set up I’m sure the quality of work you provide your customers is top notch. Thanks for sharing your video.
Thanks Dan.
I have a wood shop now and am still working on organization. If I still did remodeling and decks I would steal all these ideas. It makes me so happy when I can organize everything. Great job brother!
Thanks Dodge guy. I can work so much better when tools are where they are supposed to be and I'm not tripping over anything.
Wow.. awesome trailer.. being organised also removes lots of stress. Thank you
Thank you Michel. Definitely keeps my stress levels down. Knowing that I have all my tools and not have to try to think through everything I'll need. I inevitably forget something.
That was a very fast 27 min and 39 seconds. Great video Sir, thanks
My pleasure. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Great tour. Lots of great ideas. The vacuum hose holder was a bonus at the end. Thank you
Thanks Paul for your kind words.
Not very often that you find a video with this much great content! This was great! The whole video I was super excited!
Thanks DJ. I'm glad you found value and took the time to comment. 👊👊👊
Dude, MICROWAVE! What a great idea. Nicely organized trailer. Love the custom tools that you made.
Thanks Rolf. I haven't used the microwave in months because I'm currently intermittent fasting and skipping lunch. I miss it. It makes it easy to pack lunches though if you like leftovers.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
This is hands down the best tool trailer vid yet. Great job
Thank you for the kind words, for watching and for commenting.
What an awesome build.
We up north have to spray paint and undercoat everything
Again awesome
Thank you
Thanks for your kind words and for taking the time to comment Ernest.
I think this is one of the best trailers I've seen
Took many of the ideas for my own!
Thank you for the kind words. I'm glad you found value. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Beautifully done!! Thank you!
Thanks for the kind words Juan. Thanks for watching and commenting. 👍
Most well thought out trailer I've seen so far! Liked and subbed, thanks for posting!
Excellent! Totally worth the effort and a real inspiration
Thank you.
Super cool! Thanks for some of the ideas as I build out my shop.
Awesome! That's why I shared. I hope you found many ideas you can use.
If I saw a contractor in my area with a trailer like this I’d hire them. Someone who cares enough to nail down work flow like this and is professional enough to be this organized will do a good job. I can’t tell you how many “professionals” can’t even keep a clean truck.
Thanks Ryan. This is why I do it. It not only makes me better, it also looks better.
A clean, presentable truck (and trailer), doesn't matter the age, is a sight for sore eyes. Especially in the construction world. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Best Paulk style trailer I have seen by far!
Thanks Matt for watching and the kind words.
Fantastic work, man. Thanks for sharing!
I appreciate it. Thanks for stopping by.
Very nice, neat clean accessibility trailer set up. I've seen big companies that have dysfunctional and unorganized set ups. You have my wheels turning on this set up. Great job on your set up build.
Thanks Robbie for the kind words and for taking the time to watch.
If you need a trailer built give me a shout.
Great trailer, thank you for making the video. I've just purchased a smaller 6x10, and need to make storage. I've seen all of Ron's video also. Gotta say the folding extension cord rack and small Paulk table.....Awesome.
Thank you.

wow. I've watched a LOT of videos on tool trailers.....and I REALLY like your trailer!!! Getting ready, making plans, accumulating materials and I'm going to use a lot of your ideas.
Awesome! I'm happy that you found inspiration. Definitely share pictures/videos when you're done. You'll love it.
Very nice setup, always nice seeing how other vans are laid out :)
Thanks for the kind words and for watching.
You certainly did a great job! Thank you for sharing the video.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Really satisfied my OCD. Seriously, very nice design. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Don. I appreciate the kind words.
PS. It's CDO. Cause alphabetical. 😁
Great build! Thanks for sharing
Thanks for the feedback.
Thanks for sharing. Well organized trailer.
Thanks Jeff for stopping by.
Real nice work. I also have thrown a few locks around the highway. The blower is a must in every trailer. great work!
Thanks Scott for your kind words. Yes, a blower is a must. I'm using mine nearly everyday at the current framing job I'm on. I would call it a must have tool. Especially with the new battery options.
Love the use of pvc to tidy the hose and cables
Thank you Neil. PVC pipe is very versatile, especially with a heat gun and some gloves.
Nice layout. Appreciate you posting this.
Thank you.
Clever setup. Nice work.
Thank you.
very nice man i just got my first van and cant wait to build it out. thanks for the great ideas
Thank you and my pleasure. Thanks for watching and commenting. Shoot me a message with pictures and/or video at shooshinejonnie@gmail.com when you get it somewhat done.
Excellent presentation, great job on the trailer.
Thank you.
nice build!! we keep our tools in a pro master so driving daily with all the weight from the plywood was a concern so we actually utilize the DeWalt tough box system and its fantastic.
Thank you and thanks for watching.
Amazing trailer thank you for many great ideas
Thank you George. Hopefully you'll be able implement different aspects into your own project.
That's what I am talking about! Great Job!
Thank you.
Like the set up...seems efficient...and great storage options looks nice
I don't go to the job site without it. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Very nice job on your trailer. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Colin.
I like this tool trailer video. I work in the Southern California area just north of LA and have been struggling with tool storage for years. Been using a Transit van this last few years but still run into issues with being overcrowded in the van with tools and supplies all over the floor. I also own a 16 foot Isuzu box truck but find that impractical for most jobs. I'm tired of walking on everything I own in my $48K van trying to find where I put something from the last job. I'm also very tired of having to always empty out the van at the end of the day just to set up for the next morning's job. I think I'll be looking to buy a long trailer and converting it to meet my needs. My next step is to find a 18 to 20 foot box trailer with that drop down tail gate door. Thanks for the inspiration.... This will save me a ton of time in just being able to find what I need without having to search through my stuff all over my shop and yard.
My pleasure on the inspiration. I'm glad you found some value.
I completely understand your frustration Eric. After working out of the back of a pickup truck and a smaller trailer I knew there had to be something better. 18 ft is maybe a few few longer than I would actually need, but I've never run into a place where I couldn't get into the job. I would also be hesitant to give up that extra room. If you're looking for used you kind of have to go with what you find. If you're going to go new I would definitely consider an 8-ft wide and also add a minimum of six inches to the roof height. If you can find one already built like that that would be fantastic. I'm getting ready to publish a video of my father's trailer. His is 6" taller than mine but everything else is exactly the same. Not sure if the difference will convey through video. Thanks for commenting and watching.
John, I will definitely look into an 8 foot wide trailer that I can hook up on to my fairly new 1 ton Dodge 3500 Ram. That truck has been sitting quiet in my driveway since I had to purchase it to haul up 4 tons of materials to a job on the Utah/Idaho border last summer. I'll begin searching when I get on the internet later today. There's a ton of stuff I really like that you incorporated into your jobsite trailer. You are now on my "Always to be Watched " list. Thanks again from an old veteran carpenter.
Terrific job. Thank you very much.
Thank you for the kind words David and thanks for watching.
Absolutely great setup. I'm getting ready to build mine up and you gave me some great ideas. I've watched the Polk videos but I find yours a little more practical, not sure why though. Your's seems less "sterile" and more workable. You did a great job. Between Polk and you, you've put some great setups out there. Thank You!
Thank you. I'm happy that you found value in my efforts.
Slick setup you have there! Thanks for sharing!
My pleasure.
gentle impact, Nice logo. 👍
That's so cool! In Ireland we don't use tool trailers as our roads just aren't big enough. But, I will definitely try to incorporated as much of your trailer that I can into my van. Thanks for such a cool video
Thanks Craig for watching and commenting. The great thing about this style is it's modifiable to just about anything you have. 👍
All I can say is awesome!
Thank you.
Thanks for showing your excelent job. I will take some ideas.
Thanks for watching and commenting. 👍
Dude!! Best trailer ever!
I appreciate your kind words. Thank you.
Thank you! Excellent work.
I appreciate the kind words.
Wow....incredible job!
Thank you. It took many hours and lots of love.
Awesome! I'm going to build one. Your videos are great.
I appreciate your kind words. When you build one you'll wonder how you did without it. Good luck. If you have any questions feel free to reach out. shooshinejonnie@gmail.com
Nice trailer! I may have to borrow your cable rack idea.
Thanks for your comment on my trailer. I have added another row of the tool cubby in my trailer. Good idea with the battery blower.

Great Job Nicely Done Great Idea With PVC...
Thank you Bigmo. I lke the versatility of PVC and the many uses I find for it.
WOW! Nice ideas! And nice job!!
Hey thanks Kubotamaniac. 😊 I'm happy that you found some value and/or entertainment. 🤘
REally nice job!
Thank you so much , and this couldn't of popped up at a better time . I've got a total of seven different trailers and I'm a handy man that does remodeling .I'm not gonna say this is the best video on CZcams but it's the best one I've ever seen!
Thank you David. Hopefully there's something in here that you can put to use. If you don't have time to do it yourself give me a shout. I'd love to build seven trailers at one time. 🔨👷
I showed my father which is a retired boat builder and punch out man . He was blown away. He said man he'd like to go see it. I laughed. I do really appreciate you showing every one this.
It is hard to capture on a camera. Thanks for sharing. If you would ever work out of it you probably wouldn't give it back. (Which is an option by the way.)😉
shooshinejonnie
What would it take to pry it away from you ? I have one that I wish I would of dropped off three weeks ago. I've been taking some time off. Now it's about time to get back to work. I could live with out it for a little while though. It would be nice to start with a new one though.
@@DavidMorris-ss7pw send me an email at shooshinejonnie@gmail.com if you're serious. Let's talk. I'm looking to build some trailers. I can ship anywhere.
Amazing trailer. I just bought a trailer with this in mind.
Thanks Christopher. Do it all at once. At least the main parts. You'll always be tweaking and changing small things.
GREAT work! Very impressive!
Thanks for the kind words Inspector.
Beautiful job! And great narration.
Thank you. I appreciate the comment and the view.
Lots of great idea in here for mobile tool storage. Those PVC vacuum hose and electrical cord standoffs are brilliant. I suspect if you build trailer number 5, you'll use the ultralight plywood that Ron Paulk used for his latest S.M.A.R.T. trailer build.
Thanks for your kind words. I would definitely look into the ultralight plywood if there's any available. From what I understand the stuff that Ron used is no longer available. But I may be wrong.
Dude!! Awesome set-up Brother!!! I have a comparable set-up,,, NO IDEA HOW I ever got along without it! Kuddo's on your Trailer bud. Well Done.
Thanks Brad for your kind words. If only others could see their future. I've actually thought about building a trailer as a demo and letting people use it for a week or two to let them see it in action.
For those that didn't have time to build it yourself, you do what you do best and I'll build it for you.
Extremely well thought out storage.
Thank you for the kind words. The "thoughts" weren't all my own as I learned and borrowed from some of the best out there.
you are proud of your business, proud of your organization and the efficiency it brings. i bet you do good work and people have you back because you are clean, good and fast. nice trailer. id hire you to outfit my service van with shelves and stuff because i couldn't build u a pallet. i love the organization you ve got going on.
Thanks for the kind words.
I'd be happy to outfit your service van for you. Shoot me an email and we'll chat. shooshinejonnie@gmail.com
I would otherwise, but We are in different states but thanks though :)
Your selfie stick is genius! :)
Would like to see a video on how it is made. Also a video on the dust collector hose mount.
Stay tuned for a PVC creations coming sometime in the future. It's on the list.
nice job retired carpenter here keep up the good work
I appreciate the kind words. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Well done buddy. You are very organized. I imagine you will be very efficient in your work.
Thank you. I appreciate the kind words.
Made me a subscriber. Thanks for the tour. Can't wait to be at that level. I will be starting small. Maybe a ten footer.
You're welcome. Happy to be an inspiration. Hopefully my future videos will live up to your expectations. 😁
Really sweet job you did!
Thank you.
Wow! Nice setup...... Great video...
Thank you for your kind words, watching and commenting.
Nice job! Thanks for the tour! I appreciate your solution to storing your sawhorses. As critical as they are sawhorses sure are painful to store & transport. Love your modified Paulk Waslboard/Bench!
Thanks Jeff.
You thaught of everything, the microwave thrilled me with removal !
Well I don't know if I've thought of everything. I do like stuff to be removable in case I need to service it or change it out. Thanks for watching and commenting.
got my sub JUST on the strength of this mobile shop. killer.
Thank you Michael.
Great setup!
Thanks Curtis.
Lot of work, lot of loot, nice job 🤞
Thanks Joe. Yes. I had 240 man hours in this trailer.
Love it. Bet it took few weeks to sort all your bespoke system to your standards. I was in business 32 yrs. Was never happy with my set up.always modifying to fit something new etc.
Very impressed.
😎😎
Yes Jason. I'm still tweaking. I think you can build the bulk of it but there will always be little tweaks that'll make it more efficient.
Dude, this is amazing! I envy how organized you are 😂 Come do my trailer next 🙏
I can. 😉 I'm in NC but they ship stuff every which way every day.
I seriously will build you one if you don't have time.
Haha! Thanks for the offer! I'm going with something a bit more simple for my trailer because I'm in the DJ business and only need shelves for speakers and cables and such, but thanks for the offer and inspiration!@@anthonymast3282
Awesome set up man! Great Job!
Thank you Alex.
Great build!!!!
Thank you.
Subbed .. saw video Ron made about you. Many many good ideas you have! Thanks :)
I appreciate you watching and commenting. I'm grateful to Ron for sharing the video.
Dude you are frekin awesome!! I would work with you anytime!! You kick ass.
Thanks Austin. Those are kind words. I'm assuming by your "tone," that you don't just work with anyone.
Awesome job! Ron sent me.
Thank you vanilla50. 👍 For Ron.
Ok so you designed that trailer beautifully! I know that on job sites it can be difficult if you need to use the bathroom if there’s none around. I think you need to build a porta potti in the back corner with a thin sliding door. It’s just my thought. 🤔. Your organization is really awesome!
Thank you Deborah for your kind words. I do have a bucket and also some water additive for sanitation purposes. I've never had to use it but I've also worked mostly in more rural areas. Having just moved to a more suburban area I may have use for it soon. 😟
Hi, I’ve watched many videos on this subject but your video is by far the most comprehensive that I’ve seen.
What super , practical ideas you have - many of which I’ve tried myself but not to the perfection that you have achieved.
One question i have is the weight of your trailer - must be quite high - also on security one lock is never quite enough to secure any means of trailor or vehicle.
Ive lost thousands of ( £ ) even when I’ve had fitted high security interior dead locks to each door + three types of alarm systems to one of my work vans - in less than 10 minutes both rear doors had been removed & all tools & test equipment removed, from a very busy high street parking spot in central London.
I am building a v/h/voltage lock activated trigger device that only gives a surprise “shock” when door handles are touched and system is triggered on.
So far this works very good on bench set up & i will install it soon to work van.
I would be quite worried if i had a trailor as yours with so much equipment on board & left it parked up.
Ed,
I appreciate your comments Ed. I understand the concern. I have the same concerns. Unfortunately if someone wants it bad enough they are going to take it. Doesn't matter what I do. Your electrified deterrent sounds fascinating.
Thanks for watching.
hose/cord swing arm storage is brilliant .. the vacuum hose stand looks interesting
Thank you. Both have served me well.

Love this stuff I'm a bit ocd . Very nice keep it up. Ron sent us.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I'm grateful for Ron to share the video.
I like the side ladder rack. I was going to put a roof rack on. Now I think I will get a side mount.
To me it makes sense. Less time tying down ladders. I can also reach it from the ground and don't have to figure out how to get up top. Now, I am limited to carrying 2 big ladders. I could double up if I had to or carry them inside. I have two ladders that live there and don't come off very much, but I have them when I need them.
I use a kitchen silverware drawer organizers too. Good idea!
Yes. They're fairly cheap and don't take a lot of space.
beautiful!
Thanks for watching and commenting.
