  • In this video, Dean Cardinale goes over some medications that are helpful to have on the trek to Everest Base Camp in the event that you need them during your trek. During the trek in Nepal it is important to use good hygiene practices along the way; washing your hands regularly, and using hand sanitizer, drinking filtered water are always important. Even with the best hygiene practices it is still possible to get sick, have stomach aliments, or pick up a cough. Having some of the medications can help you feel more comfortable. It is easier to have a few medications with you just incase, rather than trying to find something in Nepal or borrow something from a fellow trekker. Your World Wide Trekking guide has an extensive medical kit, does daily medical checks and can help consult you based on their experience if you fall ill. This video goes over a few mediations that you can bring with you during your during your trek in Nepal. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us directly. We are always happy to help!

Appreciate the frank discussion of ailments that can occur during the trip and how to deal with them. Alas, it is part of traveling to remote places.

Hi John! Thanks for the question. You can visit the local travel clinic and get some shots if you don’t already have them. You will want a current Tetanus shot (good for 10 years) Vaccines; Varicella, Typhoid, Hepatitis A, Measles, Mumps & Rubella. You most likely you already have some of these. You can also get Yellow fever & current Covid, although it is not required when traveling from the USA. We do recommend getting any vaccination’s at least a month prior to the trip incase you experience any side effects. We hope to see you in Nepal in 2024!

Are there standard shots that EBC potential trekkers with WWT should get from their physician before arriving in Katmandu, Nepal. Hoping to join your team in Fall2024. Thank you.
