I am 77 years old and have been voting since 1964, when I voted in my first presidential election, and in all those years I have never witnessed so much lying by one political party. The truth is not in the Republican Party. What has happened to the party of Eisenhower? If you read the things the GOP stood for in those days, you will see that they should all be Democrats today. The party has become the party of fascism and is getting worse every day.
77 years ago the Democratic Party was still the party of Jim Crow and the KKK. That is a fact. After that 1964 election, Lyndon Johnson passed the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act and the Southern Democrats rebelled and exited the Party en-masse to re-register as Republicans. The GOP has been going downhill ever since.
