In today´s episode we take a look at regular Sunday inside LegendTrick Gym. Sunday is a hardcore day for me since we run classes + open session 10 hours straight with no breaks in between. This video was filmed during the last 5 hours and it includes me sessioning with some of my students and friends as well as teaching tricking for our advanced students and dancers from Razzmatazz dance studio.

Veli-Matti ”Vellu” Saarela , (born 1992 in Tampere, Finland) , is a professional tricker. As one of the most well known pioneers of our sport he has inspired thousands of trickers to get started with his videos, performances and workshops all around the world.
For the last 5 years he paved the way for performing trickers by creating career opportunities for himself and others in the entertainment industry. His show production company´s (LegendTrick Entertainment) artists have performed more than 2500 shows and during the last 10 years he has visited more than 100 international tricking events as a special guest and worked in more than 25 countries including most European countries, America, UAE, China, Japan, Korea, Bahrain, Qatar, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.
In 2019 he and his team at LegendTrick Gym opened Nordics first Tricking Gym in Tampere, Finland providing a safe and consistent place for the tricking community to strive and grow.

You should get some martial artist there to teach the kids basic kick techniques. After all kicks are one of the most essential things in tricking also. You have a great vibe in the class there and some crazy talented youth.
Yes, roots of tricking are definitely in the martial arts! That´s a good idea.
One of our teachers (Allu) has 10+ years Taekwondo background and he even had his own kicking class in the beginning, but unfortunately it is hard to motivate most of the kids to train kicks seriously. It´s a slow process, but we are doing our best. Trampolines and flipping are so tempting and "in" for the youngsters atm, most of them don´t have the patience / wish to hone their kicking technique into perfection. Trampoline and flips give satisfaction and props from peers faster.
But I do believe the kicking technique and wish to truly learn it will come once their tricking level gets enough good and they truly understand their imbalance between kicks, flips and twists.
