Gotta love that filter Chris. Water on tap almost in the wild. Some reasonable pitches there - defo with mountain views. Good going. Mark
Yeah decent filter and really good in the lake District where there is always a good supply of running water, bit better than some of the boggy water I've made use of in the past!
@@ramblebob1 For sure simple to use.
Nice mate.. makes it all comes flooding back
What, the pain and the suffering?? Haha
Your a mighty warrior❤️ some beautiful footage👍
Thank you kindly
Great video, the views looked awsome, looking forward to the next one.
Think the videos will be shorter for the next parts, tiredness and battery conservation started to take its toll! But thanks 👍
Enjoyed the 1st one. Can't wait to do this trail in 2024
Cheers, it's a brilliant trail, really gives everything that England has to offer for views. Hope you enjoy it when you do it!
Good Luck with Your Hike, I have done this twice so far, once in each direction. I think I prefer the Original route from West to East. Tony the Retired Hiker from Essex
Day 1 for me was an early start at At Bees with me leaving the beach at 6am, and arriving at Black Sail YHA at 4PM. Tony the Retired Hiker from Essex
Good going to get all the way to black sail hut on day 1. We thought we had done well to push it to the end of Ennerdale water.
Maybe one day I will give it a try in the other direction, got other routes to complete first! Unfortunately time and work gets in the way!
@@ramblebob1 Left Braintree in Essex and got driven up by a friend, arrived at St Bees at 4.30am and so after a fresh cup of coffee I started walking at 6am (mid summer so it was light enough to see) and stopped again at Nanny Catch Gill for 20 minutes to enjoy the peace and quiet. Arrived at Ennerdale Water approx 7-30/8.00am took a thirty minute bread to enjoy the view as I smoked my pipe then set off round the lake on the North Shore. Arrived at Black Sail approx 4PM and booked in for one night and met to Boss/Hostle Warden called Alex. Evening meal then bed at 10 pm. Up and breakfast at 7am then sat outside til the others finished their breakfast. Left Black Sail approx 8am to Borrowdale where I pitched up early to do some photography at 3pm. Self cooked evening meal then in bed by 10pm. Tony the Retired Hike
@@ramblebob1 Being retired now from work I have all the time in the World but I know my knee joints could not stand the punishment. So now I watch others do routes I have done in the past and pass on my memories of what they were doing. Tony the Retired Hiker in Essex
If you don't like the weather in The Lakes, wait 5 minutes and it'll probably change. Started watching C2C vids as prep b4 I walked it in Sept 22, now watch them to relive the experience, so looking forward to these. Here's a question though - did you take a little editorial license in the cliff path shots - they looked out of order (I live locally so walk that path 3 or 4 times a year). lol
Yeah we did get all the weather in the lakes! I did the opposite, I stopped watching any C2C videos to make it a bit more of an adventure! Hope you enjoyed it when you did it.
And yes, there is a little bit that might be out of order. I try to keep it fairly chronological, but sometimes it just seems the shots flow better out of order, or more likely that I had so many video files that I renamed to make it easier to bring together that I forgot the exact order!

I hope to see you on the trail with one child by your side and the other strapped on your back!
