This update is actually so good, the game would’ve done way better financially if it released like this, it’s basically become total war: age of mythology

Not going to lie, as someone who played almost every Total War title I didn't even know Troy released. I thought it was abandoned or something.
I mean they took the epic money, which means they had literally no faith in the game selling well on its own so its practically abandoned

naval combat was mostly crashing into other ship but i do miss that shogun naval fights lol

Mentioning epic is a low t move.
I just don't like how everything looks in those more modern total wars... the bright colors everywhere, everything has icons above it, this arrows looks really fking bad with thise white stripes behind them, the unit sizes are really small and the fighting looks really weird compared to med2. Idk total war is just kinda dead to me

you are partially right. it's spelled "Greece" but i may be getting R/whooshed. let me explain further, Ajax was super strong and a good fighter but achilles is ariostos arichon. pretty sure i said that wrong but strongest of the greeks. Now i could be wrong i don't remember the exact translation but i'm pretty sure it is that. Now people think Achilles died to a arrow to his well Achilles but that is partially wrong. he died to a arrow but not to his achilles. the story of him being immortal is actually pretty modern. the real story is that Achilles was just a really REALLY good fighter who had a lot of speed and was a demigod. his mother was a sea god. he dies to paris after killing the eldest son of troy, Hector. Now, Paris was a favorite by Aphrodite who is the greek Goddes of love and Hector was favorited by Apollo. Paris killed achilles with help from apollo. and then achilles son comes along and odyessues makes the trojan horse plan. there is a lot more that i skipped like where his son came from and achilles stopped fighting for a little bit. I think you should read "Song Of Achilles" it's written by Madeline Miller. one of my favorite greek books. btw it is 18+

Actually Hades and Dionysus were pretty nice overall. Or at the very least they were faithful which is as good as you can ask for in Greek mythology
Yeah both of them were pretty chill with mortals and the other Gods
*cough* *cough* uhh we gunna forget about the part where dionysus wanted to steal a women from i think the story like right after the minotaur with deaduleus. you know he built the maze then the prince from athens came along and he and the princess hit it off. well after he beat the minoutar he sorta ran away with the princess but Dionysus wanted her for himself so he ordered for the prince to drop her off on some island stranded but artemis killed her. idk but something about being unholy to her? i cant remember but if he wasn't so greedy and god like maybe she would've lived. DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON HADES!
@@jillvalentine5962 Mixing up stories the Cretan princess Ariadne fell in love with the Athenian prince Theseus and helped him slay the Minotaur then left with him. Then Theseus left her on Naxos and fucked off to Athens to be king. Dionysus discovered her there, they fell in love were wedded. From all accounts they truly loved each other and were true to one another
