    Lyrics: Yhdeksän Tien Päät
    Sinä toimitit viestisi
    Asetta puristavat sormesi, liipaisin herkät
    Kädet nyrkissä
    Koko maailma kuuli
    Yhdeksät valitteluoodit
    Pisteinä pyöreät nollat paljailla ohimoilla
Yhdeksän tien päät, ne punaiseksi värjäät
    Viestisi vaatii astumaan muiden raiteille
    Ei turvaa
    Se maailmassa on varmaa,
    Et pysy poissa toimista
    En pelkää sinusta loitolla
Sinä ja ase, sinä ja viesti
    Viestisi kirjoitettu sorron syy,
    jota puhdas pahuus sanelee
Sinä ja ase, sinä ja vapaus
    Epämääräinen on työsi syy
Vaikka kuulemme sen taas ja taas ja taas
    Sinä toimitit viestisi,
    Asetta puristavat sormesi,
    Liipaisin herkät, kädet nyrkissä
    Koko mailma kuuli
    Yhdeksät valitteluoodit
    Pisteinä pyöreät nollat paljailla ohimoilla
Sinä ja ase, sinä ja viesti
    Viestisi kirjoitettu sorron syy,
    Jota puhdas pahuus sanelee
Sinä ja ase, sinä ja vapaus
    Epämääräinen on työsi syy
Vaikka kuulemme sen taas ja taas ja taas
Sinä ja ase, sinä ja viesti
    Viestisi kirjoitettu sorron syy,
    Jota puhdas pahuus sanelee
Sinä ja ase, sinä ja vapaus
    Epämääräinen on työsi syy
Vaikka kuulemme sen taas ja taas ja taa

This song is actually about a school shooting that happened in Finland. Initially they had to postpone releasing this song because yet another shooting happened as they were about release it. So pretty heavy stuff all in all.

@@hautamato9128 The song is about the school shooting in Jokela with 9 people killed, hence the name. The next school shooting in Kauhajoki happened half a year after the album was released so yeah. @Chekuso is incorrect.

Great reaction again. Stam1na is a very fun and versatile band, from the technical thrash metal of the early albums to flirting with alternative and progressive elements and some occasional radio-friendly hooks thrown in. Some other songs (with video) that I'd recommend are Pakkolasku, Valtiaan Uudet Vaateet, Kuudet Raamit and Panzerfaust.

Hey guys, I'am glad you played Stam1na, they are one of my favorite bands, so much so that I went from Canada to Finland just to see them live! There is a WORLD of good music in other languages out there that people are missing out. Let me suggest some other awesome bands for you and everyone else to discover. Ok my top 5, Stam1na(FN), Mokoma(FN), Bermuda Vagabond(JP), Asmodeus(CZ), In Extremo(DE). Go have a try! Thanks for the great Metal platform.

  • @seetaami5810
    @seetaami5810 Před 6 lety

Also, I should add, their lyrics actually tend to be pretty well crafted takes on fairly complex subject matter. Mostly quite serious stuff, often with various layers of silly or even sillier comedy thrown on top to facilitate digestion and/or to add lateral dimensions to the point of view.
But really. I love you, guys. You are doing such a great job with your commentaries.

Stam1na and Mokoma are the bands that I listen the most to. If you liked this one, you will like Mokoma too (less progressive though). By the way, I'm not from Finland and I don't understand a thing in suomi. I hope they'll never sing (again, in the case of Stam1na) in english. Other great bands that sing in suomi : Kotiteollisuus, Viikate, Moonsorrow, Wöyh (Stam1na's singer and his brother's band)...

    Translation:
    You conveyed your message,
Your fingers squeezing a gun, eager to fire
    Your fists clenched,
    The whole world heard,
    Nine condolence odes,
Round nills as dots on bare temples
Nine roads end, you paint them red
Your message makes you interfere with others' paths
    There is safety nowhere,
    That's sure in this world,
    You'll never quit,
When you're away I'm not afraid,
You and the gun, you and the message
    Your message written of repression,
    dictated by pure evil,
You and the gun, you and freedom
    Your motivation is unknown,
Even though we hear it again and again and again

P.S. They make songs in Finnish, and so far they've mostly toured the Nordics. They do have one song in English, called "Nomad".
Finland also has great folk metal bands like Finntroll and Korpiklaani, who do most of their stuff in Swedish and Finnish.

Nice translation - You have not only translated the words, but also made them rhyme, a bit at least. Good work!
The Title "Yhdeksän tien päät" means literally "The Ends of the Nine Roads" or "Ends of Nine Roads" if they want to be less specific.
Not just "Nine roads end" - hard to translate at least in three words :)
Even though, your version sounds good, in rhyme with the "red" and not that far from the original meaning, IMHO.

Kvarforth is one of the craziest fuckers you'll ever see on a stage: he cuts and burns himself during performances.

Just a personal opinion for no reason at all (or just for the sake of discussion): I frickin' love to listen to music in languages I don't know. For starters, a lot of bands have painfully cliché (or outright bad) lyrics that just distract from the actual music. The unknown languages, on the contrary, speak the language of music and voice much, much better - especially given the fact that music from different countries is naturally different in many ways. I'm fluent in English and I'm Russian but while I can kind of turn off my understanding of English and enjoy the music, I can't do that shit to Russian and I just can't listen to my own country's music. It's both funny and sad.
I guess, what I'm trying to say, you should totally react to more music in languages you don't understand, guys. In a modest opinion of one of your many subscribers, it's very often eye-opening in a way.
PS: studying languages is also my passion so I'm literally driving myself into a corner as I'm studying Spanish and Norwegian and trying to get on some other languages, lmao.

@@_nurmi06, wow, by now I have failed to notice that there has been a face on Kai's bass, though I had watched this video like a hundred times! Thank you! :) Still failing to see his name, though...

I recommend to listen more Stam1na. This is one of the more poorest songs of them. And there are really no poor songs.

Great video and reaction! I'll bet that you'll love their "Elokuutio". You can find the official video here: czcams.com/video/DUtKOeUfRtE/video.html Song starts after 2 minutes.
In the video you can see members from "Diablo" and "Mokoma" that were touring with Stam1na at the video shoot. Those are also 2 bands worth reacting to. Mokoma performs in Finnish and Diablo in English.
PS. I too am porn addict.
