To be completely honest, I always found that acronym to be a bit cringe. Like, they desperately tried to shoe-horn any meaning to each letter, just to use the world "stalker".
Well, HL had A LOT of influence in S.T.A.L.K.E.R, Monolith soldiers look and sound a lot like the HECU Marines. And Gordon Freeman even appears in game.
That, and during the assault on Pripyat with the loner squad in Exosuits. I get why they removed the track. It was an artistic decision because the action and techno in the track didn't "fit" the atmosphere of the dark, desolate Zone. But there are situations where it could have been very fitting, like the two we mentioned.
The track is dope but yes, it's like in system shock 2: have music on and enjoy playing the game while nodding your head; it kills the atmosphere or any tension, you know you are just playing a game. Turn it off and have the game's creepy ambient make you think again about facing what's behind that next corner.
If S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl had a monologue for Strelok if the player goes to the "good ending path", this is my interpretation of what would happen before you go on a last stand against the Monolith. "After refusing the offer to join the C-Consciousness, the Monolith have started to trigger an ambush around the ill-fated Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant while I'm attempting to reach a certain portal that will lead me to the group themselves to end this once and for all. When you've reached a point of no return, I'd say: Let god sort 'em out!"
Okay, from what I could dig up so far, this does not come from any of the Stalker games. Sorry, not even the pre-release builds. This does not come from Warfare, either. Best I could get is that it was made for a game titled "Reality 4.13". They have a website for it, but I can't seem to get anything more concrete than that right now. Perhaps I may be up to trying to get in touch with Vladimir Frey (MoozE) at a later date to ask him for sure. I can completely understand why people would think it came from a pre-release build of Stalker, because let's face it, it has the feel of the unreleased tracks from earlier builds, and it also sounds like it could fit one of the heavy combat parts near the end of the game. That said, it's still a very enjoyable track.
but that's the thing ; I have been scouring the web for a repair mod that was stand alone , and not a thing like AMK or Complete or some other mod packs (god know how many gigs of them I must have installed....). as you said, mods are a whole new experience, and that's the whole problem.... how am i going to enjoy a "near vanilla" game with it's graphic and strangeness that got me in the first place ? that the thing for me. in one word : just help me out with a stand alone repair mod....
Last Legs is a techno-epic song with the same vibe. Last Legs is from Half Life 2, Episode 2 - not nescessarily strait up Half Life 2. There, everyone's wrong, now let's continue on with our lives.

Nice

the music when you are raiding pripyat with the group of loners in exo suits
Best raid ever!!!
That is a terrific idea! This music exactly fits that beginning of the Pripyat map imo!!
but too bad the exo team doesn’t survive very long 🤣
@@Tammysupreme30 what do you expect, when you raid a nest of elite monolith fraction members? :D

I can't believe this song wasn't included in the game.
I guess they could have used it in the Chernobyl NPP fight.
