Forget stuttering, there’s nothing more embarrassing than not looking at your presentation for a week thinking it’s done and then mid-presentation finding out you forgot to put the text on one of your slides in the middle of the slideshow.

@@Personontheinternet4598 The only benefit they have is giving you depression. They literally don't benefit a single soul other than the teachers because they can just sit back and do nothing while you are the one doing their job.
Presentations are the worst. Especially for students who are socially anxious and don't like presenting in front of the class. It's so embarassing and can even be traumatizing, Schools should really stop doing this.

@@shadowcpt591 It's different talking to one person then talking to a teacher and whole class. Presentations did not help me with job interviews. My parents helped me with that.
My advice for presentations that require you to answer questions,like at 6:03 ,is to leave a small amount of information out on a couple slides in your presentation (I call this “planting” a question). This allows for the audience to think of questions as you present and when it comes time to answer questions you can confidently answer them (which should give you a higher grade).
For example, about a month ago in my Zoology class I did a presentation on Koalas and on one of the slides I talked about how they only eat Eucalyptus leaves but never said why. Well fast forward to where I had to answer questions and as I planned, one of my classmates asked why? I ended up getting an A on that presentation and I will continue to practice question planting.

Personally, I can relate. Once I really said that I wanted to flunk the class just to not go up and present.I still ended up doing the presentation and I sped talked through the whole thing and no one could understand what I was saying lol 😂
The primary reason I’m learning Japanese is if I’m forced to do a presentation, I could just completely confuse my English speaking class, especially if I just type everything in Japanese just to further f*ck around with the class by casually reading it like it’s my normal style of writing
Edit: will it take years? Yes but all that time would probably be worth it

It's okay man... The first time i did a presentation, I couldn't even say a word. Like my brain froze while i felt the tension of the whole class looking at me, and i kept stuttering in every word. Years later i still froze a few times but i improved a lot. I'm sure you will too!

please start praying about it. nerves used to define me but now Jesus Christ does!! i can’t even explain to you the joy my shaking body felt the moment God had calmed the absolutely miserable STORM in my nerves seconds into my presentation… and SUDDENLY i felt beyond calm and finished so well. it was then that i understood what the Bible means by “for we walk by faith not by sight” ❤️🩹❤️🩹 it was then that i realized that in absolutely everything, even in presentations, our Heavenly Father is still and always holding our hand. so stay calm, pray about it. nerves are nerves but there is nothing to difficult for Jesus to calm and He is always on time. blessing to you ✝️💓💓 there is healing for this!

I always hated doing presentations in front of the class. In my freshman year I was pretty socially awkward and shy, so my first presentation in high school was a train wreck.

So I got two; one good one terrible.
Good: our group did a skit where we showed how different elders deal with aging, I was the old man with dead friends and loved ones, sad but thankful all the same. Another person was the "younger" old person who has visiting grandkids and was still active, the last person was the bitter old person who didn't have any family visits due to her attitude. That was one of the most fun I had doing a presentation.
The terrible one: lord have mercy, for starters, this project (group) wasn't started until a week before it was due and even then nothing got done (we just looked at facebook and watched Hercules all day).the night before I stayed up doing the project and paper as best as I could and was dead tired by the time I had to go to class, and it was the first period. What makes it worse is that we were the first pick to present so all we did was do our presentation as best we could and sit down. Only when the Seco group go up did we realize that we severly undercut the time (our presentation was about 2-3 minutes at best whereas the target time was 5 minutes). We bombed that presentation hard and I was oissed at myself and my friend for the grade (still passed though and he's still my friend)

In the class, we had a final presentation and I did not want to present in front of him. Luckily, the presentation was canceled and just handed a report. I was so happy
No yeah school presentations sucked in high school, and even in college. Though I will admit, I feel as if college has helped me get better with presentation skills. I even took a public speaking class and as nerve wracking as that was, it’s very helpful and your future self will thank you

one time I was given an assignment to summarize a book I read off of memory, I couldn’t read off of anything. We were on the first day of presenting and my worst nightmare came true, *my teacher called on ME first.* So I go up in front of the class, and literally STARED at them, eyes wide open, for a minute straight. And after that I start presenting while stuttering every 3 seconds. Then she interrupts me, which I don’t know whether I appreciated since I felt like I was about to cry, or hated it because of the same reason. My five minutes of presenting was soon up after she finished talking. I felt like going under my covers and crying because of the embarrassment I felt. I 100% failed that assignment- I will never forget that school day🥲 All of the presenting I did in her class was probably the reason I almost failed😭
