Hua Hua is the only one who doesn't care about win or lose in the competition. He just wanted to release his original works. He showed a set of coherent meaning musical works on the stage. This song is one of them. Very touching and meaningful. His emotion is incredible. He is a true artist worthy of respect.
Olivia li Yes he showcased HIM and I must say some people actually were going for the win, meaning they chose popular songs on purpose. But it’s not wrong to be competitive of course, but it’s really respect worthy when someone can just be himself and appreciates music instead of focussing too much on winning the competition, I mean almost everyone was quite focused on winning except HuaHua he was really relaxed which also made him be himself and he won.
Sandy I remember watching the hua Chenyu prank with the dog switch. That was so funny! As far as ace vs ace that show has great funny moments but there was one episode this season where a friend of his, a girl from divas on trip appeared with the cast. They were pretending to have a picnic dinner and all were chit chatting , but it turned serious when she related how bad episodes of depression were with hua. As she related this he hung his head and cried. It was so hard to see. That episode broke me.
Sandy, This song really touches deeply in many people's hearts. For some lighter and happy atmosphere you may want to want Ace vs Ace in any season Hua is in. He will lighten your spirits. You can watch in your time, although really enjoy watching these episodes with you. His 2019 Mars concerts is so epic and as usual even his new arrangements to his "old" versions are just fantastic.
Someone else commented this as well, it’s REALLY fun to watch Ace vs Ace (4 and 5). I am not sure if season 4 has English subtitles but season 5 has English subtitles fo sure. Most fun show I have ever watched no exaggeration, Ace Family is sooo funny, they are very open, it’s funny I learn about Chinese culture and they always have a section at the end that goes deep and they talk about modern problems like stress on work, deaths due corona, depression (under young people) and social issues. I must say season 4 was the best season ever but season 5 wasn’t any less, but it was mostly due to the corona virus which made it hard for them to get new guests each week, it was because some guests returned multiple times which made me like season 4 more because it was a fresh theme with new celebrities every week. Also hope you are doing well, I am assuming you’ve gone through a lot these last weeks/months and I don’t expect you to talk about it. Just wishing you luck and hope you get lots of love! ❤️

On Ace vs Ace each of the hosts were asked one week to bring a friend. HuaHua brought an actress who's a really good friend of his. She and HuaHua spoke very openly about the time she and her husband came to HCY's house and HuaHua admitted to being suicidal. She cried describing it. It was a hard episode for everyone. This song wasn't just a passing fancy. He may not have written the lyrics himself, but he exercised a great deal of control over them, essentially baring his soul in the hope of helping someone else. This man isn't just important to music. He's a treasure to the world.
