a reminder: in the manga ace had actually run off way back when he first met the crew on the ship, but he DID give luffy the scrap of paper there. He didn't actually join luffy on a trek through the desert

Mikey is one of the more perceptive watch and review people I've seen with one piece. Love watching your stuff. I started watching the show about a year and a half ago and am finally within the final 30 episodes of being fully caught up (don't want to have to wait weekly for new episodes just yet haha) and boy is the journey worth it. I personally loved every second of it, the story is fantastic, character development is amazing, and the show in general is one of the best I've watched. Looking forward to watching yours and hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

The last few minutes with Ace was the only canon part of that episode. He actually left before the trek across the desert.
As fillers go, though, I like that one.

the manga and anime divergence of how much Ace hangs around makes me wonder what the live action will do with him and his screen time.
i don't actually really remember the alabasta arc. so these videos have been a nice refresher.

If you look very carefully, you can actually recognize some of the kids from the flashback in the Rebel Army later on.
I appreciate you not putting the filler episodes on CZcams, because I would feel bad about skipping those episodes, but not bad enough to actually watch filler.

I did brought up in my last in my last comment that ace left after destroying those Baroque Works ships in the manga. Also hows probably a good time to warn that The 3rd opening will come in episode 116. And will have a big spoiler for the end of this arc. So avoid it till after episode 130.
Hi Mikey! I'm here enjoying your reaction and coments and then just hit me... At this point you can read the Jango manga cover story. It is the next story after "Small Buggy Adventures" and "Koby and Helmeppo Marine Diary". I recommend you to read these stories (taking time between them, cause manga cover titles could spoil you), because the anime did will not cover these stories anymore and they are canon. But i''m telling you to do this not necessry to react, but to self satisfaction. And speaking of which, have you consider to watch the first two movies and the TV Extras? I'm asking you this because lot of stuffs that appeared at "The Breathtaking Worldof One Piece" had these sources. Chronologically the extra Ganzack Pirate (launched like a test one year before One Piece animation starts) can be linked after Zoro, Luffy and Nami defeated Buggy Pirates. The first movie can be fixed after they leave Usopp village. The second movie "Clockwork Island" and the Extra "Oceaan Navel" can be linked before Loguetown. And the third movie "Chopper Kingdom Island of Strange Animals" can be linked after they leave Drum.
At 4 episodes a week, this last 25% of the series will take around 4 and a half years, closer to 5 accounting for new episodes since now.
Yeah, at this rate, One Piece will probably be over when he watches Skypia

Small easteregg Mr Popo is a character from dragonball. You need to be careful of what is actually filler, some stories are actually from cover stories, and some if I remember were added To expand on ideas authorised from Oda. Personally i think sometimes it gives more time with the characters which is nice
