Thanks for this video. I’m wandering; didn’t you put batons and insulation underneath?
Nope this van came with a preinstalled subfloor that is insulated!
Hey Colton! I’m a fellow Boise resident and I’ve been enjoying your Van builds. I’m sure you’re very busy with builds and I was wondering if you’ve considered putting together a DIY kit for these builds. I’m still trying to find the right used cargo van, but it would be awesome to have a kit in mind with a price to add to the van purchase. I’m a mechanic at Fairly Reliable Bob’s and will do this van build myself. Also, I haven’t noticed any shower considerations in the content so far. Maybe I’ve missed them? I’m looking for basic and inexpensive complete self sufficient builds Also, I’m interested in beds that hide away up to the roof. I’m 5’6’’ so the need for extra room on the sides isn’t necessary and if the bed goes all the way up I would consider laying length ways. I’m a cyclist and it would be nice to not have to remove wheels to load while traveling. I’d really appreciate your help.

Nice!
I've watched a bunch of peoples videos on how they built theirs while I'm getting ready for my van life to begin next year and I have to say, honestly, yours is one of the best how to's.
And a question! Do you put insulation under your floor boards? If not why?
Huge thanks dude!
I get that question a lot. I don’t insulate the floors. I don’t to maximize head room and to keep my feet warm I throw down a rug!
@@AnkeneyVanBuilds not to mention there's always fuzzy bunny slippers. Hey thank you again!
@@Tracor3k99 exactly!
did you use adhesive under the flooring, or is it just floating? I assume the perimeter notches keep it in place from sliding too much. but you don't leave much of a gap where they are notched. would you worry about buckling with the heat expansion ?
free floating!
Did I miss an episode showing what the floor boards are laid onto??
What did you use for the insulation under the floor with the height of the interior of the van being so much smaller than the high roof?
Nice work btw
This van came with a factory subfloor with insulation in it! Thank you!
@@AnkeneyVanBuilds I noticed you did the same with the Promaster. I see that they offer wood flooring as an option in the promaster. Does that mean it is insulated?
What did you do for subfloor?
This van has a factory subfloor installed already!
Hey, man…thanks for sharing more info. Question: since you put the flooring down so early in the build, how do you protect it from damage until the build is complete? Seems like it'd be vulnerable to scratching, etc.
Yeah I lay drop clothes down constantly lol
What was the flooring used? I looked for a link but didn’t see one
