    Where did you guys get the coin mat from? All I’ve found in custom length options is 10ft wide and that seems like I’d end up with a lot of waste. Thanks!

      It’s G floor. We have to order 10ft and cut off the excess. All of us have 3’ strips in our garages and side projects. 😂

    Do you prefer penny flooring, to most other options, specifically if using as a toy hauler type of build? Where do you purchase it? You guys have some really informative and shorter how to videos that are super helpful. Thanks!

    Thanks for all your videos. They've been extremely helpful. My floor is lonwood with the foam backing. They call for an epoxy, which has very little working time and seems a little excessive for this. Do you think the 3M 90 would work ok? I'm not sure what the difference is between the lonwood and g floor. Thanks again guys!!

      I’ve done lots of Lon wood. The 90 can work but you really need to get the off gassing correct. We have transitioned to 70 because of supply issues and it’s working better. The recommended epoxy is a nice product and from my memory had more working time than contact adhesive. Hope this helps!

    Hi there. The coinmat that I purchased is rubber backed and the manufacturer recommends 3M Rubber & Vinyl 80. Do you recommend this adhesive in a van? Any off gassing issue during hot months? Thank you!

    • @AVCRIG
      @AVCRIG  Před 2 lety +1

      Our floorings all have a cloth backing. I did a rubber floor a long time ago and we used a trowel on product. I don’t remember what it was unfortunately. I do have a can of 80 at the shop. Best thing to do is test test test.

    anyone do this material on the lower wall panels? seems like it would be nice to have something a little more robust than "cloth".
    and if so, source for this material?

    that coin pattern looks really hard to do a simple sweep on without dust and debris catching on every single coin.

    • @AVCRIG
      @AVCRIG  Před rokem +1

      It definitely holds more dust, but it also doesn’t show wear as much. I’ve done smooth wood look and the coin and prefer coin.

    I was curious if you found that when you put your galley cabinet on top of the small coin flooring if there are gaps between the raised coins or it compresses enough for that to not be an issue.

      You know it’s not something I’ve really ever worried about. There is a bit of give in the flooring. I’ll look the next time we install a kitchen.

    And what point do you add/run the wires for everything? What is the order of layering everything including floor layers?
    Can u add a heated floor?

    • @AVCRIG
      @AVCRIG  Před 2 lety

      We have videos for wiring. Wires can go in as early as you like.

    What do you use to attach the L track to the floor? Does it come in direct contact with the Van's metal floor? Thanks for the video!

    • @AVCRIG
      @AVCRIG  Před 2 lety

      We through bolt with 1/4-20 hardware but you can use whatever you feel comfortable with. We space ours up 1/2 to allow for our floor insulation system.

    • @AVCRIG
      @AVCRIG  Před 2 lety +2

      We are using 3M 70 for a fabric backed vinyl flooring. The fleece like backing of the g-floor really sticks well. I definitely recommend testing whatever you want to try. It’s all based on your flooring material. I’d check with the manufacturer to see what they recommend.

      About 3mm. Best to check with the manufacturer. We use Lonseal and G floor.
