When you get the iPhone unavailable message on the lock screen and you forgot the passcode, Apple will give you an Erase iPhone button to quickly get out of the unavailable mode and unlock your phone. Normally, if you keep entering the wrong passcode on your phone in a row more than 7 times, you will see an Erase iPhone button appearing on the bottom right corner of your iPhone unavailable screen or Security Lockout screen. It’s just located next to the Emergency button.

If you still get iPhone unavailable screen no erase option even after typing the passcode wrong continuously more than 7 times, here are a few possible reasons. First, your iPhone isn’t running the latest iOS 15.2 or later versions. Second, there is no SIM card inserted into your unavailable iPhone, so you don’t get the Erase iPhone option. Third, you suffer an unknown system bug. This could happen if you get iPhone unavailable screen without entering the wrong passcode. Instead, the unavailable error shows up suddenly after charging, updating, or resetting your device.

There are mainly three solutions. Please note that no matter which solution you take, you can’t unlock and remove iPhone unavailable message without erasing all the content and data on your device. If you have a backup of your phone, you can restore the backup after erasing your phone. If not, you’ll lose everything on your phone, including photos, messages, contacts, etc.

How to do if it in security lockout and not connected to wifi
You can put your phone into recovery mode and the reset the phone with iTunes or Finder.
is the locked iphone requires to connect with wifi ..or is itnpossible without internet?
If you use iCloud method, the phone must be connected to an internet. If you use iTunes or Finder method, internet isn't required.
Via icloud in safari why it says erase pending logo and it says "this iphone will be erased when it connects to the internet how do i connect to the internet my ios are in iphone unavailable 8 hours

My phone is 6s plus and it is my phone the screen damaged and entered the passcode many times until security lock out I changed the screen and I did all the steps shown on the video even I connected with my computer and the recovery mode appeared and continue with the steps and nothing happened I tried many times to get the recovery mode and I can’t see it again , I think Apple wants us to aponded our old phones , now the phone erased from my Apple iCloud and don’t know if I contacted them and asking about iPhone EMI what I can tell , the only hope now to tell me how to connect my phone with Wifi to make the erase erase workout by SIM card with internet it didn’t work at all because the setting in the phone before the lockout don’t use the data internet
Try the iCloud erase method and see if it works.

It means that your iPhone isn't connected to a wifi network right now. You can try to find a wifi internet which you've recently connected to (home, company, coffee shop, etc.). Then, put your phone near there to see if it can connect to the wifi.

I've tried resetting it with iTunes, but when my phone powers back on, It isn't reset at all. It's just back at the password screen as if I never did anything to it. Any ideas on how to help?
I guess you may only update the phone rather than reset it.

@@Brainwavemusic697 Just keep entering the wrong passcode for the screen lock. You'll need to wait quite a while with every attempt but eventually it'll just say iPhone Unavailable. At that point you'll be given an option for emergency call or delete iPhone. In my case I didnt have the delete option so i put the phone into maintinence mode and connected it to iTunes on my computer. Then once connected I clicked Restore. It should reset the iPhone as if it's newely bought.
