- I live in Seattle, the coffee capital of America.. so let's try out some of the best coffee shops! Seattle is home to Starbucks, which really changed the game in terms of how we consume coffee in America. Naturally, tons of smaller shops started popping up everywhere. Today we are exploring the smaller, unique coffee shops in the city.

She may have spent a lot on coffee that day, but as all Seattlites know, it pales in comparison to how much she spent on parking
That's only if she doesn't know where the free parking is. . .
Unless she took transit like a normal person. Metro 43 to Sbux Roastery and Ghost Note, 101/150 to Slate, D Line to La Marzocco, or just walk to the Moore.
I was thinking that, who drives to pike place?
This. Is. So. True. 😔😔😔
Jacob Knight YES. i live in seattle and this is always a problem lol
I appreciate tf out of your editing style because I know it takes forever and it’s so aesthetically pleasing and flowy. Always great content from you, hope you’re doing well Monica!!!!
omg couldn't agree more. 💕
First of her videos I’ve watched and I appreciated it too. Well done!
Tania Ginoza love her style and energy so much!! :)
NotSoPlainJane I thought the same thing seconds into the video! So nice!
I just saw my ex bf for a split second in the background of one of the shots 😂 that coffee shop is across the street from his apartment and he always works in the same spot. Triggeredddd lmao
Ouch 🙈
hahaha omg
@@ItsJustJanine 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
HAHAHA
Damn 😂
Let me know which coffee shop you wanted to try! My favorite was Ghost Note!
Monica Church for sure Ghost! I enjoy each your content so much!
Finally I video I’ve been waiting for! But I don’t think I could handle the depressive atmosphere around there 😐😅
Stumptown on 12th.
Monica Church im taking a trip
To seattle next month thank you for the suggestions (:
Monica Church you missed Ballard Coffee works. Love that place and there’s an Orangetheory just next door.
Wait wait wait. As a Seattle native, I gotta be honest, I know ya can't try "every" coffee shop in Seattle, but I felt like some key ones were missed. Well edited video in general, but there are a few iconic coffee chains such as Elm, Zoka, Ladro, Monorail, and Seattle Coffee Works that shaped the coffee landscape in Seattle just as much as Starbucks has. Thought I'd mention that--we indeed have a lot of pride in our coffee here!
Bryen Graver not basic enough!!
Exactly what o was thinking!
Great video Monica! I'm in Seattle too and am glad you hit up Slate, but I agree with Bryen about adding Elm and Seattle Coffee Works to the list (these are my two Seattle faves!). Maybe do round two for nitro cold brews!
Thanks for sharing that list Bryen😄 I’ll def try some of those out. I love the Seattle native recommendations 🙏🏼❤️
Totally agree! Those are definitely iconic. In terms I’d taste, Espresso Vivace is my all-time favorite though.
This seems like a very flagrantly inappropriate use of the word "EVERY"
Andrew Wittwer ever heard of clickbait
“Trying every coffee shop in Seattle”
Goes to 8 shops. Girl, that’s fewer than I hit in a week.
There’s over 800 coffee shops in Seattle. You better get sippin
kelly McGregor what do you recommend to try? I am a Capitol Hill resident I really want to try more good coffees!
@@helenguo5598 Vivace for sure, surprised it wasn't on this list.
@@MrPrdoring Exactly. And Victrola.
@@helenguo5598 I'd also really recommend Realfine (great music + reasonable prices), Kaladi (delicious pastries + comfy armchairs), Tougo (cozy vibe + great chai), and Analog (all records and cassettes + great specials).
Seriously.
I’m obsessed with your hair, the length is so cute!
Liz Hammond me too! I actually asked my hair dresser for the same style
love the cinematography in this video!!!
I just moved to the Seattle area. Please make a video about the different neighborhoods in Seattle :)
Tons of homeless..
What’s neighborhood are you in now?
Lord help you, get out while you can seattle is a cesspool
How is public transportation over there ?
@@dannyfantom4795 lots of pee smelling busses and electric scooters
cafe allegro in the u district is seattle's "first" espresso bar and the interior hasnt changed since the 70s, really great spot
Check out Caffe Vita, Victrola Coffee Rosters, Top Pot (the location on 2124 5th ave downtown is a roastery), Stumptown Coffee (my favorite), Elm Rosters, Pegasus Coffee, and Bauhaus Books & Coffee
Yea I was waiting for Victrola in this vid! They're so good
If you get a chance you should try the original Pegasus on Bsinbridge Island!
I literally saw you last Sunday at university village!! I was driving and I saw you crossing the street 😂
Oh yes I was filming this video haha
I’m a bit confused by the deconstructed latte 😅 why lol
It's gimmicky but it's mainly for you to taste the elements separately so you can identify the tasting notes in the coffee the sweetness and quality of the milk and the finished product how it tastes all mixed together.
because.... hipsters
Good choices. Bedlam in Belltown. Their Rose and Lavender Mochas are great! Also love the vibe.
That cocktail looking one was so cool!!! Also love a good deconstructed!
Monica this is such a great and professionally looking video!!!
Omg yummy ☕️ 😍😍😍 obsessed!!! I need coffee ASAP lol. Your video style is amazing.
Watched till the end! Really enjoy your video, something different & interesting to watch 😊
I love your videos! Thanks for posting unique and quality content 💕
Well done, Monica!!! As a Seattle resident and native, this is so helpful ❤️
I love everything you put out! Your editing style is lovely and I’m obsessed with it! I really want to visit Seattle! You inspire me to make CZcams videos! Love ya girl! ❤️❤️💁🏼♀️
Thank you for this great video and bringing back the memories of Seattle and the coffee spirit of this great city 🌃
Thanks for taking the time to make these videos. They are well made and insightful.
I’ve lived in Seattle for 11 years, drink coffee everyday, and would consider myself knowledgeable on shops. A couple of these locations I’ve never even heard of lol! Love this! Definitely going to check those two shops out I’ve never been to. Ive been to ghost note so many times and never knew they specialize in cocktail style drinks. I get iced espresso every time so I never look at the menu
Freaking loved this video. So aesthetically pleasing and calming. The coffee sounds so amazing. I feel the sudden need to road trip to Seattle 😭
Of course I watched till the end! Love your videos they are so chill and always have such an artfulness about them!
omgsh girl, yesss! I live in the area. I'm glad I found you. Thanks for showing me these places. Super excited to try them out!
When I went to Seattle a few weeks ago my favorite cafe was Storyville across from pike market
This was so relaxing and I can’t wait to go to ghost note coffee
This video was great! I love watching your channel grow!!
Now I feel the need to try all these coffee shops. Great video!
so many beautiful shots!! slate is one of my faves & im so proud of my city
I wish you made this before I went to Seattle in August! I'm a huge coffee person.
I did hit up the roastery, slate coffee roasters (for the deconstructed latte) and la Marzocco!
That was really helpful! Thx for the roundup of so many good Seattle coffee places (and for including addresses). In particular, I really want to give Ghost Note Coffee a try. Cheers!
Still Watching!!! Love all your videos and your style! You inspire me
I made it all the way to the end! LOL. I live out in Yelm and made it into the city just yesterday for a trip to the ER. What fun! Anyway... I love Seattle. I love coffee. This was entertaining. You got a new sub and a thumbs up from me. Keep it up!
Vivace in capital hill is SO GOOD! It’s my favorite coffee shop in Seattle
Me too!! ☕
I can't believe she didn't mention Vivace! It was one of the first craft coffee places in Seattle, and they singlehandedly re-invented latte art in the states! (It existed in Italy before, but no one in the states had figured out how replicate it until Vivace.) The owner was one of the original coffee pioneers and so many modern coffee practices are because of his work.
I know a lot of people consider Vivace out-of-touch now because it hasn't been keeping up with modern coffee trends, but you can't deny that it's an essential part of coffee history.
I do agree but their service is horrible!
I LOVE Vivace. I was really hoping she would go there.
I had a very tasty iced white chocolate latte and I don’t even like white chocolate. ^^
Monica I always watch your videos start to finish, and I like how they draw me in because your topics and style are interesting and well paced.
Great informative video please keep them coming!!!
Oh my god everything you got looks so good! I would literally travel to Seattle just to have their delicious coffee ☕️😂😆🙈❤️
This makes me want to go to Seattle even more now!
I love how this video was shot, it was super enjoyable to watch! Would be awesome if you did more videos trying out coffee shops in different places!
love all your videos !!
definitely wanna try Ghost Note , it's so cool omg
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how much effort Monica puts into videos like this, you’re a filmmaker, not a youtuber 👌🏻👌🏻
Lies
Girl, two Starbucks and no Vivace?? A Seattle institution??
Love this video! I’m going to Seattle for the first time in 2 weeks and I can’t wait to try some of these❣️
Great video :) I’ll watch this again when I come down to Seattle, to make sure I visit the places you’ve recommended :) THANK YOU
damn Monica how do you have me feeling all emotional about coffee shops?! i love Seattle so much and this video was such a fun representation of it!
This was such a professional video. Holy. Crap. And now I want to go to Seattle haha.
Is always nice trying new places and seeing if there coffee is any good. Like the one where you got a cookie with it as well, reminded me of growing up in Holland ha. Great video
Well done Monica! We were missing your videos, keep posting !!!
EVERY coffee shop = 8 coffee shops in Seattle
britney lre Key works for SEO lol
I just looked it up. There’s 800+ coffee shops. She didn’t even hit one tenth of the shops
@@kelzbelz313 one tenth would be 80, not 8. She didn't even hit one hundredth ;)
heyhey1278 derp. I mean, I’m still technically correct but I should probably practice my math a bit more.
I've had the deconstructed over priced latte 😂 it's alrightttttt
Love la marzocco
I love this video! I would love to see more videos like this
This is MY FAVORITE video! the vibes!! You did such a beautiful job editing this. Thank you for this content! here for it
Come to Portland -- I've been photographing all our coffee shops for years!
Marshall Steeves which ones do you recommend?
i used to hate coffee
now that I'm in EMT class
I'm on an IV of the stuff
Always watch to the end. Great video Monica! ☕️
Can’t wait to try all these places this Fall, THANKS MONICA 😄🥰☕️
they all look awesome but I'd go to Cafe Madrid because of their latte art
Did the video just stop for anyone else?
Watched till the end!!!! Love the coffees!!!
I love these types of videos! Keep em coming 😃
The City of Seattle should hire you to make Tourism Promo videos, you're really awesome
Chelsea Stephenson agreed!! This makes me want to visit
monica at the end trying to make the video over 10 minutes ahhahaha gotta get those rolling ads :)
Watched till the end :) I’ve been watching your videos for yearssssss . Keep it going , love them !
your reviews of everything are great!!
Lighthouse, Herkimer, Vivace. END OF LIST.
i live in spokane! (4 hrs from seattle)
We're planning to move to Spokane next year. Is it as bad as everyone says it is? I'm worried it's too unsafe to start a family.
Abrielle W where are you moving from?
@@abrielle13 Its fine if you have decent work there. Its a quieter, slower, inland city. Lots of drug addicts and theft (but the whole west coast is like that now) so watch your stuff but its visually got a lot if you dig into it. When I lived there I took up photography because of it. If you are outdoorsy its got stuff as well.
@@haileyphan2765 California. But I grew up in Snohomish County WA.
@@abrielle13 It kind of depends on the area. If you're concerned primarily about safety, try to get a place on the South Hill- it's more suburban and has a lot less crime, and the schools are good. Certainly not the trendiest area though. The Perry district has improved a lot in the last few years, and Browne's edition is nice. There are also a couple cute neighborhoods over by Spokane Falls CC. Just avoid Sprague at all costs lol. A car is definitely a must though, regardless of what area you're in.
I absolutely LOVED this video!!! 💖
I am sooo happy you are back to filming. I love watching these guide videos you make, as well as your vlogs. I absolutely love how you edit your videos with the up close shots and ascetically pleasing visuals. Your videos are higher quality thank a TV show! I just love them a lot, I really enjoy watching them, and I wanted you to know how talented you are! I've been watching your videos from the beginning, and you've come a long way!
She drinks coffee with her mouth so closed it’s kind of awkward 🧐
That description of KEXP was atrocious. Take 5 minutes to learn about KEXP. It is much more than "a local indie rock station". Oof.
WOW. I’m at a loss of words for how much I love this video. You are so inspirational and your content is so unique and well done. By far my favorite content on CZcams💛 keep it up sis!
Absolutely loved this video!!!! Such an original idea! I have really been enjoying your content lately.
Sooo you didn't try EVERY coffee shop in Seattle...
Love this video so much! Cheers! ☕️
This video was beautifully made! ❤️
Omg looove this video. More fall content!!!!!

I’m obsessed with your videos!! I’ve been here since you first started your channel and I still love your style
Such high quality and Amazing videos 👌🏽
loved this vid! watched the whole thing 🤗
This vid is so well put together i love it!!
I love watching your videos because I always feel like I get something out of it! I always learn something new and most channels don’t do that. And I’m visiting Seattle in June of 2020 and I’m definitely going to try a few of these coffee shops out! ☕️
Looooove this video!! Good job, Monica!
Love this video! Do a part 2!
Great! I really enjoyed the coffee tour💥
Still watching!! I've been having an off day but your videos always have a way of cheering me up :)

Great segment, Monica! And thanks for scheduling my daily coffee itinerary for my November trip!
Loved this! Do your thang girl
