    Glad the scan went okay! Sounds like the morphine beforehand really helped :) Love how you edited this video as well!

      Hi Georgina, how lovely to hear from you! Yes the scan went well thanks, but I do think the Morphine had a lot to do with the reduction in pain and getting me through the procedure. And thank you for the compliment on editing, as you probably know yourself with your own channel, an awful lot of time goes into this side of things doesn't it. I do enjoy it though, and it keeps me occupied as I'm struggling to do anything else (that requires moving about) at the moment. I watched your latest video recently! Nice to see you producing content again. I hope all is well with yourself, look forward to hearing from you again soon. Take care.

    It’s always a pleasure seeing you both giggling 🥰🥰 I think sharing ur stories is definitely so good for the mind and soul. It’s true , real happiness is enjoying the little things in life like sipping coffee in a shop and enjoying the sunshine and plants outside 💪💪 never stop believing in yourselves and just live in the present moment , it’s all you need ❤️

      Very well said Patrick, I couldn’t agree more. Living in the present moment is certainly what we do, day to day and hour to hour. I love just sitting in the sunshine out on my patio, can’t do much but I feel it kind of bathes my soul if that makes sense. Just wish it would fix the body as well. 🙏💕

    You have such good wit about you, Neil, despite everything with which you are coping. I've always appreciated that, as well as the way you and Teresa carry on with each other with your humor. Through hardship, you have each other there, to sit close together and be touched (even if it does shake the camera, LOL) You are deeply cared for!!! And that point makes me glad to tears!! I'm here alone with worsening MS - and that is the hardest part of all for me (for anyone, really)........harder than the physical pain
    and poor mobility, etc., etc........God bless you both!! And thanks for the update.

      Ahh bless you Elaine, I often often say to Teresa “I don’t know what I’d do with you” not because she does things for me, but because we love each other so much and are so compatible. She feels the same, and we are just so incredibly lucky to have found each other in the god forsaken world. I honestly can’t imagine coping with this soul destroying condition alone. So, my heart really goes out to you, you must be one tough cookie!!. 💕💕🙏

    Hi Neil & Teresa! I have missed seeing your updates. I get the scans about 2x year. The sedative really helps. MRI usually helps the Consultant see where/if the damage is . Rituximab has a strong history but yes we have to sign for each medication. It just protects the Consultant from malpractice suit.Neil,I think a bit of ironing may strengthen your mobility 😁Very good to see you and Teresa!

    It's quite terrible having the foam block under my legs becuz I have screws and rods in my back and have burning hip bones and so the block kind of makes it worse but I can't go without it, I know it makes no sense. The tech then asked 5 times if I wanted more pillows underneath and I kept trying to tell her it was gonna make it worse, I guess she couldn't compute that. You both are amazing! ❤❤❤

    Hi you two cuties. I’m not surprised re: the iron 😂😂 Trees you’re looking good but limping ? Hope you’re ok? Rip off that tape !!!! Quick is best. You two give me a great giggle. I have news. I bought a near infrared helmet/coronet from Tasmania and my cog fog and pressure in my head and believe it or not my gait and stiff legs have improved out of sight. I’m hoping it’s not placebo but it’s been three weeks now so the novelty should’ve worn off by now. Near infrared and infrared work in such a profound way for many things and whatever this is that I’ve got (still nothing definitive dx’d)it’s working on it. I haven’t had a painkiller in 3 weeks. Yay!!!! So pleased you got an mri Neil. I have one every 12 months I’ll be waiting for the results. I live and quote to my neuro vicariously through your videos. Such incredible similarities. My neuro watched one of your early videos as it described my symptoms so very articulately - she was amazed that we had so many commonalities in pain and symptomology. She thinks you’ve got Parkinsonism and ms How’s that for a remote dx. All the way from dodgey neuro downunder. I’m sure you can tell that I rather dislike neuros nowadays Can’t wait for the results video. Take great care Trees and Neil. 💖⭐️ Andrea. 🐨🦘

      Hey Andrea, and wow you got your Neuro to watch one of my videos!. Hmm, an interesting diagnosis, I’m very interested to know exactly which video they watched, as I will re watch it. Can you remember?
      As for the helmet, well it sounds amazing and I always say if you find something that works for you then stick with it. No painkillers for three weeks speaks volumes!
      Teresa’s as limping because her back still isn’t right after a couple of month’s trouble with it. Fortunately it’s going in the right direction.
      Take care. 🙏💕

    Hi guys. So glad your MRI went smooth Neil. Mine did too. Waiting to see a neurosurgeon now so we can go over my options on removing this tumor. I am also having another MRI on my neck. My neck pain has been awful and the doctor found a lot of arthritis in my last X-ray…I will also be getting 2 injections in my spine to try and help with my leg and foot pain. I’m very nervous about all this and have had severe anxiety the last few days but I’m hanging in there because it’s all I can do… On a lighter note I actually love ironing 😃 I find it very calming so I’m right there with you Theresa. Good to see you both smiling and thanks for the update. You’re both always in my thoughts and prayers🙏🏼🌺🦋😊

    Oh Neil I’d have Tree checked out! Liking ironing?!! 😂 btw ironing is hell on the back...as well I know..so don’t start doing it! 🤣. I’m glad you’ve managed not to have too much pain in the MRI. I was worried when I had one so was advised to take some extra diazepam and I was fine! I had contrast with no problems. Btw, my wedding ring had never been off my finger since David put it on back in 1977! The MRI doesn’t affect gold or silver so I didn’t have to remove it. But later in October last year I had to go to a jeweller to have it cut off as I didn’t want hassles with my fingers swelling after the carpal tunnel surgery! It took the poor guy about half an hour and it was agony! It’s one of those wide bands..he even sent his shop lady to get ice from the café! I’m now waiting to see where I can get my ring added to a little more gold and remade as my ring size has gone up 4.5 sizes! 😱 Arthritis I think...
    Glad to see you smiling again! Sorry about the plaster! Ouch! Fast IS better but depends how delicate your skin is!

      Hello "J" .. I know what you mean about the prop under the legs, there was one time and I think I mentioned it in the video whereby I was in absolutely agony. The prop under my leg had something to do with that as well and I'm always wary with them now. But I though, I'll try it this time because I can always get them to remove it if necessary. But I was fine fortunately. Ha ha about the bandage, if really did hurt though lol.. more pain than I'd had all day lol. Dear Amanda, THANK YOU so much for your lovely message and re-assurance. This means so much to us, I am quite nervous about having the treatment and how I am going to react to it but it is messages such as yours, from somebody that has been through so much.. that help put my mind at rest. So once again I thank you for that.
      My treatment comes in two parts, spaced apart by two weeks .. I'm going into hospital on the 15th June, and 19th June each for the whole day.
      I'm hoping to do some filming on the day, and upload to my channel as soon as possible. I may even upload a couple of update actually on the day whilst I'm in the hospital of how I'm feeling etc .. haven't yet decided, also depends on the internet connection I have there.
      I am quietly optimistic I think with regard to the treatment (Rituximab) I know it will help stave off the attacks, but what I really want is mobility improvement because it's that which is really getting me down to be honest as well as the 24/7 pain.
      Amanda, that's so very kind of you and your son Logan to be thinking of us .. such kind and sweet people, I can't thank you enough.
      Much love to you - Teresa and Neil 💕🙏🌹

      That's a really good way of coping to be honest Michelle, and your right. Once your eye's are shut you don't really notice the fact you're in a small space, well I didn't anyway. I kind of found it funny when the machine would say, the conveyor (thing your lying on) is going to move now, and off you go lol. Kind of made me smile.

      Hello Fatima, lovely to hear from you and thank you for your kind message. In answer to your question, the cat is Molly. Sadly we lost her a few days before she reached 20 years old!! She was however quite poorly for 2 - 3 years prior to her passing. I’ve feature her in quite a few of my older videos (2018 and earlier). She also has her own play list on my channel if you would like to see. I hope you are well 🙏💕

    2nd comment: I am very claustrophobic and was very grateful I was asked how I was doing and how long each step takes. A previous open MRI, they just kind of left me high and dry. Have you ever had that experience?

      Hi there, yes the foam block is good under the legs.. I have this every time because I find it takes the pressure off the lower back which for me is a god send.
      I’ve never had an open MRI, but my experience with MRI’s are always quite good.. as you said they check on you regularly and make sure your ok. Thank you so much for your kind words. ❤️🙏

      @NeilBradleyMS  Před 3 lety

      Hi Mary, hmm I can totally appreciate that if your claustrophobic .. they may offer you something like a diazepam to relax you or something to that effect. When I had my Lumbar Puncture I was a bit (VERY) scared, and I was offered a Diazepam so I took it. It really did work quite well. I wish you well with the procedure, and hope you get through it ok. Take care.

    Hi Neil, I am glad to see the MRI experience went well. The Gadolinium ( the contrast dye ) is the coldest metal known to man. I have a bad reaction to this when I have my MRI's and I have had 5 in the last 2 years. I would also like to know what version/type of MS you have. Go to my CZcams and follow me on Facebook(in the description), I would love to be able to chat one on one and share stories and experiences with our crappy disease with each other.

    • @NeilBradleyMS
      @NeilBradleyMS  Před 3 lety

      Hi there KP, my story is a long one first diagnosed in 2013 (symptoms started in 2007) with RRMS, shortly after transitioning to SPMS. But now over the last two years I’ve been re-diagnosed with a rarer autoimmune disease called NMO (Neuromyelitis Optica) which I do feel is more fitting with my symptoms. It’s all documented with videos on my channel. Yes I know some people do get a bad reaction to the dye, I seem to tolerate it quite well. I’m already subbed to you, must have been from some time ago.

    My last one I was in for 2hrs 15mins and the heat was the hottest ive ever felt and 6wks later I could still feel it burning and then the results was the damage that had spread was in the same place were my head was burning, im gonna ask my consultant in afew wks, get my bloods done next wk then see the nurse about the injections I have to do 3 times a wk.
    The fun never stops eh 🤣😂

    Hello Friends!
    I really dislike those MRIs, I have to medicate to help me stay calm (claustrophobic)I get scanned every year. I can chant with the drum beats as I have them memorized 😂
    Neal are CBD/THC products available to you? If so I would research / try.
    Dr Aaron Boster on YT has many wonderful videos on many topics dealing with MS and the medications used to treat it. I encourage you to watch them. I’ve learned more from him than all of the doctors I’ve seen for the past 14 years!
    Oh Teresa your garden is beautiful! That is my happy place too🌹🌺I keep a herb pot near my kitchen door so it’s easy to snip and add to salads or whatever I am cooking. I feel so proud to announce to the family that the parsley, dill, chives or basil are from my garden.
    Wishing you both a beautiful week!

    • @NeilBradleyMS
      @NeilBradleyMS  Před 3 lety

      Hi Jayne, yes you can indeed chant to the drums in those machines 😆 they take a bit of getting used to. I’ve been subbed to Aaron Boster for a long time, he’s excellent isn’t he. I quite like his question and answer sessions, in fact I watched his latest last night. Very good. Yes we love the garden, especially now the weather is improving. It brings us great joy but I am finding it increasingly more difficult to maintain. But growing your own chives and veg sounds amazing, we are hoping to get a green house soon which we are quite excited about. Take care. 💕🙏

    Hello from US!
    The Steroids do not seem to help much?
    Heat makes me pass out, the cold will cause major stiffness, pain is constant, ect... with similar symptoms, with no Steroids!
    Hang in there and have hope that your doctor's know what they are doing!
    Chin up!

      @NeilBradleyMS  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Kelli, as a rule the steroid do really help me .. but I'm talking about the one's which I have delivered by IV (into the vein) which is Methylprednisolone. They are powerful anti-inflammatories, the effect usually last a few months but then I go down hill again.. basically the inflammation comes back. I suffer very similarly in the cold too. Take care.

    Hi Neil and Teresa I was just on Ryan's Page who you introduced me to he has a Message on this Page I was just typing to him a long Message just got off and found you both!! Good to See you I know all about the good old MRI Scanner with and without having the IV for contrast. The Metal bed or table what ever you want to Call does suck to lay on I am Not clostrofobic either I peek when I am in it and close my eyes again I know you can be in one of those MRI's for along time. But its funny your MS Nurse did Not know about you having the MRI??? Did the health care professionals tell as to why or what they are looking for? Was it just they are looking for more Inflamation? Which I hope Not with the MRI scan of your brain so think you or the doctors who offered the MRI think you have Inflamation in or on your brain? I am wrighting this while you are talking 123 RIP IT OFF!!! It's that EASY 😳😞😭😱 that's what happens when the nasty Tape or band aid has to come off!!! So do you know the results of what the Doctors or Health Care Professionals were exactly looking for? You both have a good Rest of the week and a good weekend too😎
    Talk to you both before you have your big day on June 15th. Take care and God bless you both. Trust me I know its a rocky road but you will prevail just keep thinking Positive Thoughts it makes a big difference even if you don't think it does, it really does 😉 Take Care, Amanda

      Hi Amanda, always lovely to hear from you .. it jut so happens that I wrote Ryan a message on his channel yesterday (01.06.2021) also as I'd not heard from him for a while. I really enjoy his videos and can very much relate to them, so I'm looking forward to seeing more as and when he's up to it.
      I've since found out that the reason for the MRI was for a baseline prior to my treatment on the 15th which, I can understand. I too usually have my eyes shut with the occasional peep lol. Take care, oh and the plaster REALLY did hurt lol 🥰🙏💕

    I just needed to watch u 2 again. Sitting here smiling at u 2. At 5:57 with ur masks on looking slightly down at me like a nurse & Dr ready to casually operate 🙂. A thing I am learning, we all experience pain differently. The nerve endings on Neil's arms are probably sensitive in a different way than Theresa's arm.
    This week I saw a Rheumatologist. She strongly encouraged me to see Neurologist & asked if I have ever been told I have neuritis. I said no. I right away thought of Neil's diagnosis of Optic Neuritis. This us the first Dr to say any words that kinda go with MS. I have an appointment with Neurologist in July. I been re-watching interviews from 4 yrs ago of American actress Selma Blair. My speech difficulties are similar to hers. My speech has gotten a lot better nit from any therapy, but from me slowing down & from people I talk to having them just accept me. BTWI continue to pray for both of you for both your health issues & day to day stuff.
