The iPhone 12 purple was much more pigmented and cute, but the iPhone 11 purple was very light lavenderish. I think this 14 is the same shade as the purple iPhone 11.

I love this purple iPhone it is one of the best iPhone colours apple has brought out I wish the iPhone 14 pro was this colour because I like a more pastel purple then a dark purple

Thank you! Yea, it's often tough to tell that it's purple depending on the lighting. You'll definitely notice the purple hue in most environments though!

When I saw the iphone colors in person I was so disappointed in the purple. I was hoping to upgrade from the iphone 12 purple to the iphone 14 plus in purple but the purple is so ugly and it dont even look purple. Luckily the blue and the red looks so good. I decided to go with the blue. The red is my second choice.
