    Real good write up, I’ve done gear swaps for over 30 years, the only thing I’d do different is use marking compound to read the pattern.

      Yep holding up great. I’m guessing there are not many that actually manufacture these gears so the need for re shimming should be fairly low if they use the same machining specs and jigs as the originals.

      @@trbokmro yeah only 1 manufacturer for these because the rear pinion is so unique. Very small market. Motive Nitro gears all made by same manufacturer. That’s been confirmed by a shop that charges a ton for this lmao. Now whether or not getrag OE made by same manufacturer is the question

      @@trbokmro I have a thick gear coming today and will find out soon. Need to make a tool for the pinion nut. If mine goes in with no extra shimming too, then id say your theory is probably accurate!
