The List of reasons why Benedict is just so attractive became longer with every video I watched of him. The first time I saw him on photos, I thought he looks weird and I couldn't understand why everyone is so obsessed with him. But since I've watched Sherlock I wanted to see every Interview he's in on CZcams, because he amazed me so much as an actor. After watching the Interviews he amazed me even more as a person. I can't explain how fascinated I am about how many talents this guy has.
Just look at this wonderful human being:
He's so talented as an actor, he really feels into the characters he plays.
He's also very talented in Imitations of other actors. I love what he can do with his voice.
And that voice by the way, is the best thing I've ever heard. Combined with that British accent.
He's incredibly funny and humorous.
He's smart and classy. The way he talks and articulates amazes me every single time.
And he's a real conversationalist. I would love to just chat with him about anything.
He's so charming and charismatic and thoughtful.
He's so kind and so polite. I mean, in so many Interviews where the Interviewer thank him for the Interview he says „my pleasure“. So sweet. Also he always defends his fans. Everytime it comes to the word „Cumberbitches“ he says how unlikely to the name his fans are. That they are just great and supportive. And these are just 2 of many examples.
He's such an incredibly nice and humble and down-to-earth guy, compared to other celebrities.
On "Setlock" he just goes to his fans, talks to them and even sings happy birthday to one of his fans.
Like how cute is this. He's just adorable.
But soo manly too. Handsome and sexy. Gosh.
I can't even tell how much I adore Benedict Cumberbatch.
And I love this Name too btw. Ugh, Pure Perfection.

You summed it up beautifully. But may I add to the list - the charity work that he does quietly and without fanfare; his grace and patience (I've watched some interviews with him where the interviewer was just plain rude and he still manages a polite response where my own blood would be boiling); and the fact that he loves his wife and little family and doesn't care who knows it. He's one in a million.
I still think we should be Cumbercookies because the whole of the fandom would be a Cumberbatch!

He's got a hell of a voice.
How could you say that Sherlock is an emotionless robot??? (yes I know he's fictional but still) he is so emotional and feels deeply but he saw it as a weakness and shut it all away, and somehow John Watson is able to bring him out, bit by bit. He'll never be "normal", whatever normal is, but he is deeply emotional.

Personality has always enhanced looks for me. I saw Sherlock and didn't immediately fall in love with Benedict. After watching interviews though, the genuine and just good human being he is really shone through. And I don't mean for 'good person' to sound trite, because despite the good things people do, I think good people are actually very rare.
So all that plus I think he and I have a lot in common (not professionally obviously, haha), so I'd love to have a chat with him one day. xx
I also agree with you guys! First I fell in love with Sherlock and the way he played it (because of his brilliance, sharp intellect and straightforwardness obviously) and then i started watching Benedict Cumberbatch interviews and i think this guy is just awesome. like you said, he's so genuine and he also seems to be so down to earth and humble about his success. and at the same time he has a great humour and can also laugh about himself. and he definitely is not one of those brainless actors. smart is the new sexy ;)

His voice is mesmerizing and while he is extremely handsome, I adore him for his bookish and shy demeanor as well for his humanitarianism. He genuinely cares about people and that makes him the sexiest man in the world. Well, at least the top five anyway. I also adore Sam Heughan. Maybe you can do a video on him as well. :)
His voice is the greatest appeal for me. And I did comment at one time that resembles a snake, could have made an excellent Voldemort. I loved him as Sherlock and I adored him as Khan (my favorite Trek villain) but my true devotion came when I stumbled upon his performance as Stephen Hawking. I instantly declared "Where as I cannot arrogantly state he is my all time favorite actor (a spot still held by Anthony Hopkins) he is, without a doubt in my top three." Top three, because I still haven't decided where in my top five to stick Edward Norton.

Agreed. Amazing performance by him as Stephen Hawking! I also came across a sitcom he was in with Hugh Laurie back in 2003, Fortysomething, where he played one of 3 teenage brothers in a typical, dysfunctional, sitcom family. Obviously made before he became so famous, but he was totally cute & decidedly likable in that show, also.

It's all about his Brain, his Charm and his VOICE. In terms of looks he is a Gem, but that is not the thing that truly draws you in, it's simply who he is and how he caries himself. His true ability as an excruciatingly brilliant actor, his acting is fearless are what make him famous. He's the real deal.
Jeremy Brett's Sherlock Holmes is the epitome of the presentations of the character in the time and place of the original stories. Cumberbatch has provided the best interpretation of the character when placed in the 21st century.
For me what I love most about Benedict is, he can really be almost anything. He can be a classy gentleman. He acts like a child and be adorable about it. He is a very versatile actor and can be any kind of character which takes so much talent for one person. I also like that Ben is someone who is very comfortable with his fans and is very loving and protective of them. Yes, people do need to see him as Benedict and not just his roles; however, great actors are best when they put themselves more into their characters. This is why Ben is so talented. Yes, his looks, voice and personality are amazing too. He just knows how to make people love him by him being himself.

Unfortunately, the only role I know him for is Khan in Star Trek: Into Darkness. But he was so amazing in that, I'm now a fan. He actually reminded me a bit of Tom Hiddleston, in that he was playing a villain whose character was so interesting he stole the show.
Apart from being a decent bloke with whom I'd happily share a drink, had I the pleasure to meet him, I definitely appreciate Mr. Cumberbatch for his talent. The first time I saw him was in a movie called Atonement, which is an amazing movie based on an equally amazing book. I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen/read it (and should), but I'll just say that there is a scene in which he blatantly flirts with a fourteen-year-old girl and it was so creepy that for the longest time I couldn't even look at him without feeling creeped out. That's how good an actor he is!

SHERLOCK is the reason why, at least for me. Before I watched Sherlock my friends would talk about him and show me who he was, but I didn't find him that interesting and would even refer to him as the cucumber guy because I couldn't remember his name. All of that changed after the first episode.

He's often mentioned as best actor of his generation by other actors and the more I get into his work the more I think they are absolutely right. He's a superb actor with an extremely wide range of roles in different media (stage, film, TV, radio, audiobook, letters live, etc.). And he's truly brilliant in what he's doing. I hope to see much more from him in his lifetime. His Hamlet was worldwide sold out - every single performance - within an our. A year before the show even starts in August 2015. Rekord breaking! This is the ultimative must see performance!
Benedict is such a charmer and appreciates his fans. What's there not to love about him?! One can only dream.

It just makes it official that pretty much all the characters he plays are *monsters*. No-one is better at playing monsters believably and sympathetically. Sherlock, Kahn, and Smaug are obvious, but he brings out the monster in every character he plays (e.g.: Snowden).
It's similar to how Johnny Depp is so good at playing really *weird* characters believably and sympathetically.

Check, check and check. All of that is true about Ben, but 'brainy is definitely the new sexy', and he's got that in spades as well. Looks may come and go, but talent, a winning personality and intelligence speak volumes.
What should i mention first?He is british, has a wonderful voice and accent,he is a lovely human being,such a good actor and really modest about his success.And he loves my country(Greece) I really wish that amazing man the best.He deserves it.
The funniest misinterpretation of his name I read was Cumberbund Bandersnatch. He is fabulous, his voice and accent is amazing, his performances always entertaining and surprising.
I have a thing for British accents so that's one thing he has going for him. He also just seems like a really down to earth guy. He's extremely modest and doesn't have an ego the size of Jupiter, which is EXTREMELY appealing to me. I can't stand an egomaniac. I'm surprised no one said anything about how gorgeous his eyes are. Especially in Star Trek and in Parade's End, they were extremely noticeable in color. My list could go on about the reasons why I'm a fan of the man.

I love him for many things, including his absolutely superb acting, his humble and incredibly sweet personality, looks (can we talk about his EYES?! W OW AND THE CHEEKBONES.. My three favourite people currently in they eye of the media are Benedict Cumberbatch, Russell Brand and Richard Ayoade, and they are all my favourite for the exact same reasons. They're passionate, hilarious, incredibly intelligent, and, above all, mind-bogglingly kind. All three of these men can be described very accurately by these four phrases. It makes no difference in regards to their looks. I'm not attracted to Russell Brand, am only attracted to Benedict through prolonged exposure to his extreme talent, and Richard is just the sweetest human being on the planet.

He's down to earth and while he may be upper class and "posh" he doesn't really seem egotistical. He appreciates the fans and understands that being a celebrity is a fickle thing and that while he's on top of the world now, he could easily hit a point in five or six years when no one will be casting him in anything....
