  • Siberia ... For many inhabitants of the planet, this is still a mysterious, unexplored and frightening place on Earth.
To this day, there are many tales about Siberia that are far from reality. Indeed, everything is not as clear and simple here as in the forest of the European parts of Russia. ( • The Journey to Siberia... )
The Taiga is a harsh world that does not forgive mistakes. Despite the fact that we are in the 21st century and everyone has a phone and GPS, it is better for the average person not to intrude in the taiga, there are laws and traditions that must be known and followed, otherwise you may not come back.

Rest in peace...he was genuine, spiritual, a conservationist, and skilled in survival in some of the most beautiful and remote on earth. We were blessed to have witnessed his abilities. Much thanks for sharing. I have lived alone for a lot of my life out in the country on a back Gravel Road. Hunting trapping tanning hides in North America. I butcher here at home prepare and package. It is a gift, few could ever realize the wealth of. Rarely do I get visitors most of the time I think because they are inquisitive. Most have the same thing to say. How can you live out here alone like this? They do not realize I am not alone. I have visitors every morning and throughout the day. The Woodland creatures always arrive:-) I live here because thankfully I never have to worry about them

In episode 3 Gennadi said: "You can immerse yourself in your thoughts deeply. Here, no one will disturb them." and "this is medicine for the nerves. This is being one with nature."
I was born and raised where i live today in NL. About 100 meters of where i lived as a kid and 5 km from where i was born 60 years ago. Back then, it was a quiet little town, in a mostly agricultural region. Three years after i was born big multinational companies built factories here and the town exploded, bc more laborers were needed. Ive often cursed the day they allowed that because it completely destroyed the people here. Nothing of them is left and little of what the town looked like. Nobody cares about anything old here, bc its not where they were born, right.
Even worse though is the ambition of being an actual city. Tourism. Woke idiocy. Immigrants. Etc.
Where even back in 1980, when i was 20, it would often be quiet. Now where i live (and i live at a bad spot, but cant move), it is continuous motorcycles and cars that do not follow regulations wrt sound limits and so. Continuous barking of dogs, even at night. Continuous idiot drug dealers that drive orders around, even at night, right behind my house. At daytime, sometimes till 11 o clock at night, children playing outside. But its not normal play. They continuously scream, yell, cry. Same at the school beside my house, where my own children went to school, 25 years ago, but then 100 children did make the noise of 10 now. And they were limited to 2 * 15 minutes of breaktime. Its a school after all. But not anymore. ALL the time there are children 'playing' now. And theyve build sandboxes, slides, climbing stuff, etc, like its a friggin play ground. Then there is continous 'work'. Like this year, they managed to take 6 months, with machines to redo a staircase for a slide, they built 2 (!!!) years ago.
Loud 'music'. Sirenes. People fighting in the middle of the night. etc
The few moments of silence i cherish, usually from about 4 am till 6, if im lucky. Then i feel alive, at peace. As if i am in nature. Only the wind, or rain. And my thoughts.
IM going crazy with the continuous noise. I live at night, to avoid most of the racket, but my god, Gennadi is so right. I often say to myself "I cant hear myself think ffs"
Im continuously looking on how to get out of here. I want to be IN nature. I want to hear chirping birds, the wind, the rain. That sort of thing.
Im SO tired of people and if i cant get out, im not going to survive this continuous attack on my nerves much longer.
When he said that, i immediately knew what he meant and he is so right.
Ah well, eventually we all die. Then ill finally have some peace and quiet again.
    Rip Gennadi.

Very wise comments my friend. All those things you say, each added together contribute to a growing nightmare. The same has happened and is still happening in England. It is as if the people we have chosen (though we had little choice really) to govern us are just interested in disharmony and the creation of ugliness and conflict.
