Sony Changes Stellar Blade AGAIN and RUINS Ghost of Tsushima PC Port!

- Sony cannot stop with the anti-consumer changes. They have forced Shift Up to make numerous, and potentially illegal, changes to Stellar Blade to appeal to the withering Western Market and now there are changes being discovered in the Japanese release that are frankly absurd. A garbage company with garbage tactics.
The highly anticipated Ghost of Tsushima PC Port is on the horizon and a bucket of water has just been thrown on fan enthusiasm. As if the backlash to forcing PSN Accounts on HELLDIVERS 2 players wasn't a big enough wakeup call, now those PSN Account parameters are being forced on Sucker Punch and the Ghost of Tsushima port from Day 1. It's an out of touch move and will only hurt sales of the game and Sony's public reputation... as if it couldn't get any lower.

It's super sad Soyny's doing everything they can to ruin their own games. It;'s really annoying but just try to play it offline and avoid the patch. Stellar Blade is hella fun and I hope ShiftUp makes more games like these. Hopefully no sony influence next time.
Probably not tbh, they didn't need to make Stellar Blade as their mobile games generate enough revenue, and seeing the current landscape of major layoffs within the gaming industry, I wouldn't blame if they didn't.
I hate to be that guy, but the current console gaming market is in utter shambles. Hell, it's so bad that smaller teams are eating REALLY good, Arrowhead went from small team to global success overnight, Supergiant just FLEXED on every generic indie game with Hades 2...while stealth dropping it.
Do yourself a favor and just get a steamdeck or just wait for PC ports since exclusives don't exist anymore.
And remember kids, voting with your wallet means actually not buying said product if you truly care about that stuff or just want to be a smart consumer as many industries prey on weak consumer to only consume and cope.

It started with little things, that you wouldn't care or normally you'd just outright ignored or you didn't put up much resistance...
When they finally released the big thing... You'd build a habit of "accepting". Therefore, they get to have their way with you.
Kinda like how CZcams banned "Free Speech" where you couldn't say certain "Politically Incorrect" phrases or words or risk being demonetized. So most CZcamsrs just accept it and curved their own language to keep their channel alive.
So we ended up losing more and more Freedom as we speak... and it is by "DESIGN" and it started with "Mind-controlling" as they slowly bending your habit & your acceptance!
That's half the problem. These aren't their own games. They don't make games anymore. They just make a crappy console and lord over the plebian game developers.
They need to be knocked off their throne.

Ive had a bunch of freinds cancle there psn subscription and say there moving over to pc sins they cant trust sony to not screw there games up after purchase
100% Agree stellar blade section im a PC player and i still signed the petition for the simple fact that im against censorship on a basic level. Because once this comes to PC of it was only about boobs. I can simply grab a mod to make her fully nude if i want to, but thats not the point simply am not interested in this becoming the norm moving forward.
I know nothing about this but it seems like they know console is dying out and are trying to wrap their hands around the PC community lol If that is the case, blocking SONY out is a must.

The thruth is no company is in the videogame bussiness for charity, and chances are if you were in it you wouldn't work for free or refuse to make profit out of the goodness of your heart either.
There's always the possibility that they didn't want to bring the english localization into question by having something else to compare it to. It's easier to find people that translate from japanese than korean among the people that go over game translations.
A lot of people would go for the japanese dub over english too, even if the game is korean. The same thing happens with their other game, Nikke.
Ghost of Tsushima is primarily a single player game. I wont be worried about linking anything

Let’s face it. Sony gonna keep pushing PSN requirements for all future PC game releases. As long as they state that up front I’m ok with that. Then it’s a consumer choice to buy the game. PSN PC is probably going to be digital gateway to all your PS console library. Xbox already does this.

That's the disc version the moment it go's online there's the update.
No, the only difference with the jp version is that you can pick jp language and continue saves from other versions.

@soulrebelstudios3185 Yeah, weirdly, the jp voice-over is only available in the jp version of the game. I actually own it. And I also have the US version digitally.
They censored the running style, I am playing Verion 1.0 and the style of running in the hips part is more sexy, and in the patched version is no doing that.
What if you uninstall it and put the disc back in with ps5 offline?
Sony should have considered having two different versions. "M" for Mature (Uncensored) original as advertised and "T" for Teens (Censored). It was easy for them to cover up a little and less of blood so shouldn't be difficult to have Digital to update and down grade as the age confirmation on PSN account.
Ok well I only gave a shit about playing single player with Ghosts. I don't want the PS overlay. I will wait until it comes to GOG.

Completely untrue about Nintendo's region locking. Pretty much every switch cart will run in a switch from any region, there are only a few that are region locked.
This was a similar thing that Bandai did with the Gundam Breaker series prior to New and 4. Have a Chinese, i believe, comoany localize or do it in house and release nonregion locked discs.

Shift up should only make pc games now that they see what it’s like dealing with Sony.
Wrecking PC ports of Sony games helps demonstrate that buying a PlayStation is the best choice, passing the game conversion job to parties that are incompetent is just easier than having Sony do it themselves, creating dire PC ports and bringing them to market late is a tactical choice.

I refuse to buy Sony in general after our Helldivers debacle. They can try and sell. We can always choose to accept it and allow it to become a new normal in the pc world or we choose to not buy it which is the route I'm taking.

The game sold very well, so that will be interpreted as the gamers accepting the censorship. Grummz also made a mistake by urging people NOT TO REFUND the game. Petitions don't make a difference, but refunds impact their profits.

@@mumblingmarvic8969 No, Stellar Blade's fame is over. Nobody talks about it anymore. The petition is grinding to a halt, it will still take weeks before it reaches 100K. Anyway, I got a refund for my physical copy, I did my share to protest against the censorship but it's over now. I'll add Shift Up to the list of studio's to avoid in the future.

People need to stop using the therm "soulslike". Ghost of Tsushima is not a soulslike. And I´ve seen people say, that Stellar Blade is a soulslike. GoT is basically AC in Japan and Stellar Blade is a combo of Metal Gear Rising and the NieR series.

Since ghost of Tsushima is campaign focused and doesn’t require the PSN account, i am more okay with multiplayer restriction, since people will know upfront before purchasing the game and won’t be rug pulled like Helldivers. However, I personally think that PSN accounts should be an issue with cross play solely.
