  • First aired February 20, 1974 -- Kreskin did a demonstration with three pairs of audience members how they moved a goblet they were touching although they were trying not to do so. He then had two of the members use a glass to choose playing cards, which matched ones already selected in an envelope.

I can't imagine the producers were very happy with the subject matter of this segment 😅 I have a feeling this wasn't one of the better visits out of his 60 appearances throughout the years.

@@jckrell Hi Mamu....so this is how remember it....I was shaking like a leaf because I was so close to the man I loved. When my partner says about the glass that "it's jumping around," it probably was! I was 17 (18 was the age limit) & never thought I'd ever see this again! If you listen closely when I first come on stage, Johnny says, "You wanna go out tonight," I say, "sure," & he says, "good." I called friends from the lobby to tell them to watch the show 'cause Johnny asks me out. Did the glass actually move by itself? Don't know, don't care...I was in the presence of greatness & the love of my life & that's all that matters. Still watch Johnny on Pluto TV. They have a dedicated channel just for him. Thanks for question!

In '73, when I saw The Excorcist, it scared the wits out of me - Also, in Brodheadsville, PA and Saylorsburg, PA and areas near Effort, PA and Kunkletown, PA have a lot of "Kresge" last names, which is Kreskin's real name, and he states he has relatives in PA, been watching him on Carson forever from Long Island in the 60's and 70's and now I live in PA and see this name everywhere. He's done some amazing things, that's for sure....

Johnny's suit looks great even today. Kreskin's suit is ugly to its core. I don't know who came up with that absurdity.

Being an amateur magician, I am surprised that Johnny fell for the fake mentalist.
He called out Uri Geller on his show for faking powers.

To be honest i don't think Kreskin was ever 'hip' nor did he ever try to be.
Kreskin liked to affect a lot more nerdiness than he actually was...it was his way of disarming the audience and getting them on his side.

Phil Raso Phil Raso 4 were picked from a total of say 30 face down cards that were already in place and never shown to us. All those 30 cards were 1 of the 4 in the package. There were 4 sides and each side had 1 of the 4 cards all the same card. You notice they picked only 1 card from each of the 4 sides and never picked 2 from the same side. These are the same 2 whose glass never moved on the previous trick and are confederates.
