one of the best rock songs ever made.
Canada was pumping out great groups in the 70s and 80s. Loverboy was one of them!
I was in the 8th grade when this song was on the radio.I was digging them in high school too, with Hot girls in love& Queen of the broken hearts. 😎👍
My favorite Loverboy song
Great Song, also love "when its over"
That album changed Canadian music forever, there are so many hits on it, glad you chose this one as I had forgotten it. Thanks!
@Duh6666666 My pleasure!
My first concert, Loverboy was an awesome band.
This album blew us away in high school when it came out. It was the beginning of a great run of rock hits out of Canada
Killer synth bass line. Great early 80s make-out song 😁
Loverboy's greatest song
don't get many reactions to this band . always felt they were underrated . good suggest
@davidbodonaro1631 Thank you!

Mike Reno = criminally underrated singer
By far the best Loverboy song!
This was their best song. I primarily grew up listening to rap/hip hop but remember this song and I liked "the kid is hot tonight".
I got to see these guys open for Journey in 1982. One of the greatest shows I've ever seen.
Just saw these guys a couple of months ago. They sounded as good as they did when I saw them in the 80s. Definitely one of the best bands of that period. Check out the story on the original bassist.
From their 2nd album, " Get Lucky" from 1981, this is a great tune, with a great synthesizer beginning.
Mike Reno's vocals are spot on packed with emotion and the guitars work their magic, I agree with you Harry some parts are new wave influenced and different for Loverboy. 🇨🇦
I saw they just played in Texas with Foreigner and got great reviews.
Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and Neal. 👏👏 Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
❤💐🌼🇩🇰❤️🇨🇦😇
@agnetesorensenelbom5085 Good Morning Agnete. 🥰🥰🇨🇦❤️🇩🇰🌹🌹
You're welcome, Mary!
Yes! My favorite Loverboy song, and I think the best thing they ever did. I don’t think anyone else has reacted to it before, as far as I know of.
When this one came out in the early 80’s I had to get the tape just for the guitar work on this song alone.
I remember I felt a bit alienated thinking the cover featured Mike Reno’s red leather clad butt! As it turns out it was some record industry guys 14 year old daughter which was about my same age at the time! 😂😂😂
I remember the MTV video had just dropped on this one and they would always play it at our local skating rink.
They would turn the lights low and spin the disco ball for this one. Back then, all the kids wore these big handle combs in their back pockets for their 70’s throwback feathered hair.. but I can’t help hear this song and remember my goofy ass wobbling around uncontrollably on my skates trying my best to not to face plant! 😂😂😂😂😂
Glad you liked my selection of "Take Me To The Top". As a patron I get 4 selections reacted to per month and I want to make them count. Your comment makes it all worthwhile -- thanks!!
@@pncombies Keep on picking winners like this.. dig into more deep tracks if possible, love to see the gems that the radio forgot poppin’ up in the feed!
Best synth intro in a rock song. Then that awesome bass kicks in.
Might be my favorite song of all time. Even though it had enormous appeal at the time, I felt it was the most underrated song of the 80's.
That was 🔥🔥🔥
Fantastic choice Neal! I haven’t heard this in years and it sounds great now. I never realized that this was a Canadian band. There are quite a few artists I hsve heard since my teens that I assumed were American and discovered here that they’re Canadian . My musical literacy keeps expanding. Thanks Harri and Neal 🌺✌️
Thank you so much, Debbie! This was my second Loverboy selection! More to come!
great request !
@normanrose2711 Thank you!
These guys came out at a time when it was hard to find good rock and roll to listen to. They were actually like a life saver in my book! Peace and love!
I remember when this track came out. It blew the radio up! There was a lot of killer music coming out at the same time as this song. Peace. D
The whole album is good, straight thru.
Another great Loverboy song
Great great song and reaction comments! 🤘
Awesome Album! Not a bad song on the whole thing!! My favorite was one that didn't get much airplay, but it ROCKS!! So Emotional!!
I wore this album out. I knew this had to be picked from pncombies. I just knew it. Fantastic brother PN and Harri. 👍👍👍
You're the best, Imadrummin - thank you, brother! 👊
Yes, it is, this is the beginning of the 80s, the beginning of a new wave, the beginning of a new sound of electric guitars and synthesizers, it reminds me of Gary Numan, the sound of the guitars, I listened to this song, this is the 1981 album "Get Lucky", one of the best Loverboy albums, I also like the song "Working for the Weekend", be sure to play it for Harri reaction!
I was huge fan from the start after 3 albym i lost intersting in the band but i atill listing to 3 first today
This album was everywhere when it released, similar to when Def Leopard dropped Pyromania
Everything about that fermata at the end is way clever/inspired! Loved it.
I saw them live in Vancouver early 80s,Bryan Adams was the opening act.As I recall this was the first song of the encore,it featured a green laser light show in time with the synths.Mike Reno came out wearing a Vancouver Canucks hockey jersey and the place went nuts!
Mike Reno is the name of the singer and I think you'd really like a duet he did with Ann Wilson (Heart) called, Almost Paradise from the movie, Footloose. It's an awesome, awesome song !!!
Loverboy is a fantastic group with too many hits to mention.
❤❤❤❤❤
My favorite loverboy song. Try When It's Over
checkin in...
Mike Reno had a piercing, powerful voice, which as Harri noted, sounded particularly anguished in this excellent tune.
Thanks so much Harri. Deffinatelly New Wave in this you got a great ear. Lover Boy was so huge in the 80s and put out so many songs and great Music and is still the best after all these years. Wow wonderful memories everytime I hear them. Alwasy doing something so different. Thnx Mate from DFW 🤠
Streetheart should be on your reaction list. Paul Dean and Matt Frenette left Streetheart to join Loverboy and Kenny Shields, the lead vocalist of Streetheart is criminally underrated. They do a cover of Under My Thumb, by The Rolling Stones that will knock your socks off.
Thank you Neal ❤ Great suggestion 😇🥰👍 Really like this one 🤩😍😀
The riff reminds me so much of Annie Lennox and Dave Stuart in Sweat Dreams 🤔😉🥳
Thank you Harri
My pleasure,Agnete...Canada has produced incredible musical talent!
@@pncombies ❤️😍🤩
The intro is my ringtone.
😮🥰❤️👍
Great idea
Great song!. I don't know if you ever listened to the 13th floor elevators but you should give them a try. Your gonna miss me and slip inside this house are great
Thank You , Thank you for reacting to the album version ❤ most reactors listen to the radio edit 🙁 great reaction !
Good bye Could be that you need to hear the song. Almost almost paradise, it's my greenow and Ann Wilson. Ann's in husse my group called home.
If you want something pretty close to paradise. I would suggest a song lap tyeah. I locked the song and so mg almost paradise
😅😅😅
I admit to not listening to this song as much but the guitar is slick. Loverboy has quite a few good songs, good choice! Streetheart, Harlequin and Trooper need some attention too imo.
That was almost almost paradise almost paired ice almost
No I am Wilson and Wilson bent there with this brother. I could a mind paradise while all months played of it was a ban almost so you've been more luck at then. Those 2 together do that song called almost paradise one of the girls from heart. And I just stayed here almost tough's brother that's about paradise almost
@KneeJerkReactions13 Thank you!
i think the added random guitar influenced tool
the greatest stripper song ever..........
Their best song.
❤❤❤❤❤
