- Having a wash day hair care routine is just as important as learning to style natural hair. If you're a parent to naturally curly-haired children, this is a video for you. My goal is to educated foster and adoptive parents by encouraging them to properly hair for their child's natural hair. It's important to learn which texture your child has. The care that you give is awesome. I was in Walmart the other day and this young mother who had a child that was mixed. The beautiful little girl was not adopted. I am African American mother and she was looking and really confused as to what to buy. She had no clue. I was with her in the isle for about 45 to 60 minutes assisting her. The mom was eager to learn, she was taking notes. Well getting to my point, Christy you have Great knowledge on the caring of African American hair. Maybe you could do a guidelines for the overall care. You have a teaching voice, very easy to follow. But to be able to look at read and follow would be great. I know you already have a million things to do...but there are so many woman in need of your knowledge and they are just silent about asking for help. Thanks for reading. It was just a thought and I wanted to share my experience. You are great...More mothers and or parents should educate themselves as you have done. Thank you soooooooo much for loving , caring and being their mom. And doing all that you have Done for the RIGHT REASON ❤❤❤

When its wash day...a towel or cloth is needed on her shoulders so when the water is dripping she can wipe her face, as well as catch any product that may run down her face. Great video

Great video...I would suggest using a towel. Im an adult and i hate getting wet when i wash my own hair. And it does help keep the products out if her eyes and it makes wash day easier for her.

A very good, deep leave-in conditioner is tea tree oil cholesterol. Put in after wash, put a shower cap on it for 30-45 minutes depending on the porosity of the hair, and rinse with cool water. Go about you normal routine after. The hair will be super soft.
Also, if you ever have dry patches on the scalp that bother the girls between washes, use a little carrot oil on the spot. It helps me and I have eczema.

You have done such a great job learning how to do you daughters’ hair. I’m sure they’ll have long locks to their feet in no time!! You may want to try the LCO method (my personal favourite) or the LOC method of any of your girls’ hair is getting dry. And if they ever get build up at their scalp, you may be putting to much product their. Though I’m sure you know what’s best for their hair, I hope you find these tips helpful!!
