Unless YOU do the clean-up yourself, instead of having someone else do it for you, you'll never learn to keep it under control. You have to be the one to handle each item one by one and really think about all the money you've wasted on stuff you don't even use

I like that Adam had the husbands back (about the trophies) and Tara was as lovely as ever. Awesome teaming and very thoughtful ideas, proving again why this is an Aussie family show and not just a show. Good on ya. Love from Fiji.
Not every person express them self with big big emotions for everyone to see. The small expression she had when she saw the craft room, I think said it all. It actually looked like to me, she made a small jump of surprise. She loved it and she appreciated the hard work. She is just a quiet person, and I think scrapbooking for her, is another way of expression the big feelings.

Calm down people. I'm sure the lady liked it! She was just shy and reserved, obviously not the demonstrative sort, she was quiet and said very little through the whole show. She could not have smiled any wider. :)

I love this show, too bad it doesn't show here in Malaysia. I think Adam and Tara are great presenters, they have a happy, cheerful and genuine disposition about them. And gosh both are so creative and handy! Tara is also such a beauty - love her!!!!

Made me realize how much stuff we human beings buy, collect, and then throw away.
We buy things we don't need fill it up to our house and put them away in landfills.
+jaziel tan Some of the stuff I saw being put into the skip for landfill could've definitely been donated or easily upcycled - we live in an age of unrelenting mass consumption of stuff. Want vs Need has been lost in translation.

+Lily_emmaline I think she's just the type of person that's not too outwardly expressive. That's probably why crafting and scrap booking mean so much to her. It's subtle, but you can see her gasp a little when she saw her craft room.

Stage fright, dear, it'll shut you down completely. You could see her real self come through a little bit when she got excited about her artwork, but when she was doing the acting with them over her hubby's statues or be 'on' at the reveal she got overwhelmed.
As usual I like the perfect job of Tara

If that happened to me, I would be like OMG!!!😱😱 and all she said was "excellent" I bet she didn't even mean it, I would be kneeling down thanking her for what she's done, and she was just like" thank you😏... Even the woman at 6:22 and an even better way to say thank you, and all she did was by snacks and drinks! And that lady that did the hard work only got "excellent😏"

Instead of cutting up your children's artwork, why didn't you purchase inexpensive clear sleeves at an office big box store and put them back-to-back in each of the sleeves, then put them in binders, categorized by "kinder", "elementary", etc., or by age (3-5, 6-9, 10-14, etc., or by child's name. If you organize it by the child's name, you can present the binder to him on graduation day to take away with him/her when "moving out and on" day comes. The binders are available in many wonderful colors and the spine sizes range from 1/2 inch to much, much larger.
+One MercilessMing I'm not sure they sell clear sleeves that are large enough, but I couldn't bear to cut up my child's artwork. But if you absolutely must get rid of them, you could maybe use them as background paper in your scrapbooking, or at least take a photo of each and burn them all onto a CD. I have to admit that the circle project was pretty, but I had to wonder how the kids felt to have their work cut up.
amjPeace If you cannot find sleeves large enough (they are usually to fit 8 1/2 x 11 paper sizes, you can also go to any teacher store such as Lakeshore or C&M School Supply and laminate your child's artwork for a nominal fee. The laminating machines fit classroom posters and are usually 42 inches wide, so a number of your child's paintings can be fit side by side at once to be more economical.

its really hard to fix your own house, its hard to throw things you've earned especially memorable things but with the help of someone in just a minute you have chosen of throwing things, selling things and donating it. But when you're the only one cleaning it 2days is not enough to think whether of the choices. How i wish they can visit other country just to do things like this.

Great transformation. The only thing that seemed odd was buying an expensive hanging system for the garden tools, when this is one of the easiest and cheapest things for a carpenter to make.

oh that's so funny when she was taking off in the van for the bunnings hardware store, the bloke didn't even know and came running out. with his big list and she was so shocked. So funny. And then he wanted sausage roll and chocolate milk. unbelievable. the funniest thing ever.
Those are really great ideas - perfect examples how one could maximize available space around the house regardless of size.
The producers should screen potential recipients for their ability to express emotion. I really missed seeing excitement, joy, and gratitude at the end of this substantial makeover.
